Calculation of Replacement Price for Alternative Feed Ingredient in Consideration of Nutrient Content in Feed Ingredient Fed to Broiler Chickens (영양소 함량을 고려한 육계 대체 원료사료의 대체가격 계산)

  • The objective of this study was to calculate the unit price of an alternative feed ingredient for broiler chickens in consideration of the energy and nutritive contents in the feed ingredient by using a simple Excel worksheet. A corn-distiller's dried grains with solubles (corn-DDGS) was used as an alternative ingredient and corn and soybean meal as ingredients to be replaced. The net change of feed price was calculated based on the replacement values which were estimated in consideration of energy and nutrient concentration in feed ingredients used in the calculation, the price of feed ingredients and inclusion rate of the alternative ingredient. The nitrogen corrected apparent metabolizable energy(AMEn) and standardized ileal digestible AA including Lys, Met, Thr, and Trp, total Ca, and available P were employed as nutritive component to calculate the replacement values for individual feed ingredients. The equation for replacement was 1 ${\times}$ corn-DDGS + 0.0334 ${\times}$ soybean oil + 0.0182 ${\times}$ Limestone = 0.8893 ${\times}$ corn + 0.13 ${\times}$ soybean meal + 0.0004 ${\times}$ Lys + 0.0022 ${\times}$ Met + 0.0005 ${\times}$ Trp + 0.0028 ${\times}$ Thr + 0.0264 ${\times}$ dicalcium phosphate. The replacement price of corn-DDGS was calculated to be 270 won/kg when the inclusion rate was 15% and the energy and nutrient contents were considered in the calculation. In conclusion, the Excel-based ingredient price calculator may be useful to determine the economic value when an alternative feed ingredient is used in diets fed to broiler chickens.

  • The superior materials for substitution of bean and red pepper paste were selected through the examination of chemical compositions and the function. The following results were obtained. (1) The enzyme activities were higher in the process of koji manufacturing for brewing bean paste and red pepper paste in barley koji and in corn powder koji, but those of wheat koji were inferior (2) Corn powder was proved as the most excellent substitute, because its components and functioning were the best. (3) In the production of the paste the use of corn powder and bean with equal amount was proved as good as those product of the traditional way of the brewing. (4) By using the corn powder, the production cost can be cut down to 25% in the production of bean paste, and to 23% in the production of red pepper paste, comparing with those of traditional brewing products

Simulation on the Alternation of Limestone for Portland Cement Raw Material by Steel By-products Containing CaO (CaO 함유 철강 부산물을 활용한 시멘트 원료 석회석 대체 시뮬레이션)

  • In this study, to reduce CO2 emission in the cement manufacturing process, we evaluated the limestone that is used as a raw material for cement, substituted with steel slag by the various substituted levels. Based on the chemical composition of each raw materials including limestone, and blast furnace slow cooling slag, converter slag, and KR slag as an alternative raw material, we simulated the optimal cement raw mixture by the substitution levels of limestone. Test results indicated that the steel slags contain a certain level of CaO that can be used as alternative decarbonated raw materials, and it has enough to partially reduce the amount of limestonem. And we estimated the maximum usable levels of each raw material. In particular, it was confirmed that by using a mixture of these raw materials rather than using them one by one, the effect of reducing limestone was increased and CO2 emission from the cement manufacturing process could be reduced.

시멘트 산업에서의 자원재활용

  • 1. 2014년도 우리나라 전체 폐기물 발생량은 146,607천 톤이며, 건설폐기물이 46.2%(67,644천 톤), 사업장 일반폐기물이 38.1%(55,914천 톤), 생활폐기물이 12.4%(18,219천 톤), 사업장 지정페기물이 3.3%(48,810천 톤)을 나타내고 있다. 2. 건설폐기물의 97.9%, 배출시설계 폐기물의 77.3%, 생활폐기물의 67.0%, 지정폐기물의 57.3%가 재활용되고 있다. 3. 2015년도 우리나라 시멘트산업에서 18,801천 톤의 순환자원을 재활용하였다. 폐기물이 6,136천 톤이고, 부산물이 12,665천 톤이다. 부산물은 11,000천톤이 제철슬래그이고, 1,600천 톤이 폐석고(탈황석고 중화석고)로 추정된다. 그리고 폐기물 6,136천 톤은 사업장 일반폐기물의 약 11.0%에 해당된다. 4. 시멘트 톤당 순환자원 사용량(재활용 원단위)은 일본이 400kg/톤 이상이고 우리나라는 300kg/톤 대를 나타내고 있다. 일본이 우리나라보다 재활용량/톤이 많은 이유를 다음에서 찾을 수 있다. (1) 고품위 석회석 원료 (2) 법 제도(지원금 포함) 5. 원료 대체율의 산출은 다음 두 산출방법으로 나타낼수 있다. (1) 이론적인 원료 상한 대체량에 대한 실제 원료 대체량 (2) 이론적인 원료 조합량에 대한 실제 원료 대체량 2015년도 우리날 전체 원료 대체량(17,770천 톤)은 (1)에 의한 대체율 : 71% (2)에 의한 대체율 : 27% 6. 자동차 슈레더 더스트(ASR)를 시멘트산업에서 자원화 하게끔 ASR처리의 보완 및 법적지원(지원금 포함)이 요망된다. 7. 부산물 및 폐기물의 자원화는 시멘트산업에서의 이용이 가장 우수한 장점을 갖추고 있다. 그러므로 시멘트산업에서 폐기물의 자원화를 적극 추진하게끔 제도의 보완 및 시설지원 등 정부의 대책수립이 간절하다.

  • The cement is accomplished with CaO, SiO2, Al2O3 and Fe2O3, etc. After pulverizing materials of the limestone, the sand and the clay(shale), iron ore, the cement becomes clinker materials sintering from the rotary kiln of oxidizing atmosphere. The part in the materials of the clinker is substituted with slag, sludge etc. and it is used. because The chromium which is to be included in the clinker materials, in sintering process hexavalent chromium is converted with the chrome. Consequently it changed the type and a content of clinker materials and test hexavalent chromium of the clinkers which is manufactured.

  • The various conditions of substituting wheat gluten for the bean, one of the raw materials for soy sauce manufacture, was studied by measuring the activities of the amylase and proteolytic enzyme of koji. It was found that substitute wheat gluten for up to 60% of bean content (30% of the total bran and wheat content) yielded good quality of soy sauce. By using more than 30% of wheat gluten the availability of nitrogen of raw materials was decreased. This was attributed to the low enzyme activity in koji containing more than 30% wheat gluten.

  • The production of various commodity chemicals including fine chemicals, pharmaceuticals, bulk chemicals, plastics, and fuels is based on fossil resources such as petroleum. However, the limited reserves and ever-increasing demand of petroleum lead to the rapid elevation of its price. In addition, the traditional chemical processes using petroleum as a raw material have been imposing a serious environmental burden to our planet including global warming. These problems can be alleviated substantially by employing biological raw materials and bioconversion processes. Industrial biotechnology is expected to significantly complement or replace the current petroleum-based industry and to play an important role in bringing about so-called 'bio-based society'.

전기로 슬래그를 이용한 암면 제조기술개발

  • (주)서울암면은 현무암, 안산암, 백운석등의 천연원료를 사용하는 기존 공정 대신에 제철소에서 발생하는 고로슬래그를 주원료로 이용하는 공정으로 암면을 제조하고 있다. 본 연구에서는 재활용율이 낮은 산업부산물인 전기로 슬래그, 폐주물사, 알루미늄 드로스 둥을 암면원료로 대체사용하는 기술을 개발하고자 하였다. 시험생산은 전기로슬래그와 석탄을 분체로 혼합한 브리켓트를 만들어, 기존원료의 많은 부분을 대체하여 큐폴라로에 장입하여 생산하였으며 폐주물사, 알루미늄 드로스 등의 첨가율도 조절하였다. 생산된 암면 제품은 한국공업규격인 KS F4701 암면 단열재 시험법에 규정된 규격을 만족하였다.
