The infrastructure of public transportation of Seoul which has been developed in parallel with the progress of modernization receives successful performance evaluation at home and abroad, currently representing the highest transport distribution ratio. In spite of this fact, the public transportation of Seoul, which has entered into advanced phase of services, still leaves much to be desired, in particular, the mobility considering the transportation vulnerable is not well assured. It is time to provide proper supports for the efficient mobility of public transportation in accordance with the social changes present in the aging and multicultural society. This study inquired about the current status of public transportation and that of its users. In addition, the main inquiry target was oriented to the elderly and foreigners for observation and investigation, as well as for the analysis of their behavior. Furthermore, through in-depth interviews, inconvenient factors have been found according to public transportation means and its usage phase, by carrying out detailed evaluations of public transportation services. Based on this, the enhancement elements were defined and the corresponding concept was designed through a series of idea workshops, and this study intended to contribute to improving future public transportation services by proposing the improvement scheme applicable to the upcoming public transportation.

The issues of developing the value added services for public transport connectivity and transfer with information and communication technologies has been discussed in terms of incorporating system facilities with public transit modes to increase the ridership of public transit. This paper demonstrates a conceptual model for providing the location based public transit transfer information service on demand with respect to system requirements, subsystems, and logical architecture based on the national ITS architecture. The subsystems in this study which include transfer information center, parking concierge, user route guidance and information provision system are also investigated in detail in order for information service and/or contents provider to develop business models on public transit connectivity and transfer. This model is expected to be utilized in providing the variety of service models with the different types of public transit connectivity and transfer systems according to the system scale and the public transit modes.

실시간 대중교통 종합 환승정보(TAGO)시스템은 대중교통 이용자 중심의 서비스제공을 목적으로 교통 수단간 환승 정보를 제공하고 있다. TAGO는 항공, 철도, 버스(시외/시내/고속), 지하철 등 대중교통 뿐 아니라 자가용, 자전거 이용자의 환승을 고려한 정적/동적 운행정보, 소통 정보를 연계하여 통합하고, 네비게이션 서비스, 지역정보 서비스, 돌발 상황, 날씨 정보, 통계 정보를 인터넷 TAGO 홈페이지(www.tago.go,kr)와 환승 지점에서의 현장안내장비(Kiosk, PDP)를 통해 제공하고 있다. 현재 TAGO는 3차 사업이 진행 중이며 전국 단위 장거리 교통수단과 지역내 단거리 교통수단의 교통정보를 연계하여 효율적인 환승정보를 제공하여 대중교통 이용 활성화에 기여하고 있다. 미래의 TAGO 시스템은 유비쿼터스 시대의 신개념 교통정보 제공을 위한 확장성을 고려하여 서비스 범위를 확대하며, 다양한 매체를 통해 전국 어느곳에서든 출발지부터 목적지까지 교통수단의 선택, 경로안내, 환승정보, 지역정보 등을 제공할 계획이다.

현재 자율주행 셔틀, 택시, 공유 차량을 이용한 교통서비스제공의 실현 가능성을 검증하는 단계에 있으며, 세계 각국에서는 자율주행 셔틀을 활용한 대중교통 서비스 제공을 목표로 실증을 경쟁적으로 하고 있다. 본 고에서는 자율주행 셔틀 기술 개발과 실증 현황을 소개하고 대중교통 분야에 적용할 때 고려해야 할 사항을 검토하여 서비스제공 측면, 자율주행 기술과 안전성 확보 측면, 인프라 확충 측면, 수용성 개선 측면의 쟁점을 도출해 보고자 하였다. 이를 토대로 쟁점과 문제점을 해결하기 위한 방안과 정책 제언을 제시하였다.

It has become important to have some proper guidelines of how to provide public transport information services in response to the rapid IT developments and the wide spread of public information services. The current study takes a contextual approach to the analysis of public transportation information use under a dynamic decision situation, complementing the conventional cross-sectional approaches. Using the CHAID of decision tree induction based on decision table formalism applied to the survey data of activity travel and information use, the study found that the information type and medium choices are strongly affected by the decision contexts in addition to the individuals' socio-demographic characteristics. The results suggest an important implication to the market segmentation of information services for public transportation.

The aim of this paper is to analyze the changes in the travel pattern of public transit users, service satisfaction before and after public transportation system reform in Daegu. For this purpose, we conducted a survey of people on public transit users and the results of study are as follows : First, it was found that transfer trip had increased, especially concerning the changes of travel pattern from bus trip to the transfer trip between the bus and subway. Because it makes a financial sense to transfer based on free charge transfer system. Secondly, the transfer satisfaction was improved for public transit users, but they are still reluctant to use transfer system.

본 논문에서는 현 대중교통서비스의 한계를 극복하고 신산업 및 새로운 서비스를 창출 하기 위한 방안으로서 IT를 기반으로 한 새로운 교통수단인 PRT(Personal Rapid Transit) 의 사례를 소개하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 기존 교통시스템의 장단점을 파악하고 단점을 보완할 수 있는 새로운 시스템을 제시하였다. 본 연구를 통하여 세계적으로 주목받고 있는 신교통시스템에 대한 관심을 유도함으로써 이 분야의 개발을 촉진함과 동시에 IT 기반의 서비스 제공을 통해 미래 도시인 유비쿼터스 도시를 구축할 수 있는 토대를 마련할 것으로 기대된다.

There have been enormous efforts to develop an innovative public transport bus service for enhancing its operational efficiency based on Automated Vehicle(AV). However, since the vehicle operating environment in the public transport system varies with the purpose and method of mobility service, it is necessary to preferentially evaluate the current roadworthiness for an effective way to introduce the AV. Therefore, this study classified and redefined AV-based mobility service based on literature reviews. This research conducted the roadworthiness test for checking the feasibilities of the AV-based mobility services. Furthermore, we suggested some deployment strategies of the AV-based mobility service considering the Level-Of-Service (LOS) of road infrastructure based on the results of roadworthiness tests. The proposed direction would have a great potential to introduce the AV-based public transport system in the near future.

도로 교통의 혼잡이 나날이 증가되고 있는 현실 상황에서 이를 해결하기 위한 새로운 도로의 무제한적 건설은 정보의 예산절약, 필요한 도로용지 확보의 어려움, 환경오염 문제 등으로 인해 현실적인 한계에 이르렀다. 따라서, 이러한 도로의 혼잡상황에 효과적으로 대처하기 위해서는 승용차를 이용하고자 하는 수요를 대량수송이 가능한 대중교통 이용수요로 전환시켜야 하며, 이를 위해서는 대중교통의 서비스수준 제고 및 운영 관리 체계 등의 개선이 필요하다. 이를 위한 전략적 및 운영적 측면에서의 대중교통계획은 미래 대중교통수요의 정확한 예측을 전제로 하여 수립되며, 이러한 수요의 예측은 필수적으로 현실을 보다 더 정확하게 묘사해 줄 수 있는 통행배정모형을 필요로 한다. 대중교통 통행배정은 규칙적인 배차시간과 정해진 노선을 운행하는 고정서비스 시스템으로 구성되어 있어서 한 링크 상에서도 여러 개의 운행노선을 고려해야 하기 때문에 승용차 통행배정과는 독립적으로 취급되어 왔으며, 이로 인해 그 동안 많은 연구가 선행되어 있지 않은 실정이다. 본 연구는 교통예측 프로그램 중의 하나인 EMME/2에서 사용하고 있는 대중교통수요 통행배정 모형인 최적전략모형(Optimal Strategy Model)의 단점을 보완하기 위한 것이다. 최적전략모형은 수요 배정시, 최적전략에 속하는 경로들에 대해 단순히 운행횟수에 비례하여 수요를 배정함으로 인해서, 예를 들면 운행횟수는 많지만 환승이 많은 경로에 수요를 많이 배정하는 것과 같은 비현실적인 결과가 발생하기도 한다. 본 연구는 이를 개선하기 위해서, 두 가지 대안을 제시했다. 먼저, 노선배정에 우선되는 최적경로 탐색시 환승노드에서의 환승에 대한 벌점을 그 노선의 운행회수에 줌으로써 환승이 많은 경로에 수요의 배정이 적게 되도록 하는 방법과 두 번째로 수요의 배정시 운행횟수가 아닌 목적지까지의 통행시간과 대시시간에 따른 확률적 배분을 통해 기존 모형의 단점을 보완하고자 했다.
