Performance Comparison of Baseband Modulation Methods in DS-CDMA Communication System (대역확산통신시스템에서 기저대역변조 방식에 따른 성능 비교)

  • It is important to use frequency resource effectively to support much more users, to maximize the DS-CDMA system performance. In this paper, we use MPSK, QAM, MFSK and PR coder as a baseband modulation method for DS-CDMA system. Increasing user's number, we compare the performance of each system using different baseband modulation method, by expecting BER performance. BPSK has generally good performance, in case of low power operation of terminal 8FSK has excellent performance relatively, PR has excellent performance when high power operation of terminal and also good for situation of excessive user's number. QAM is not suitable for DS-CDMA system.

Performance Analysis of Hybrid DS/SFH Spread Spectrum System using BFSK Modulations over Nakagami-m Fading Channel with Multitone Jamming (다중톤 재밍이 존재하는 나카가미-­m 페이딩 환경에서 BFSK 변조방식을 이용한 Hybrid DS/SFH 확산대역 시스템의 성능분석)

  • In this paper, we analyzed the performance of a hybird DS/SFH(Direct­Sequency­Slow Frequency­Hopping) Spread Spectrum system with BFSK modulation over Nakagami­m fading channel with multitone jamming. The performance of the system was improved when a frequency bowing rate increased. In case that process gain of hybrid DS/SFH Spread Spectrum system to be fixed, the hybrid DS/SFH Spread Spectrum takes the low bit error probability than a DS Spread Spectrum system. Also, when the fading index m increases, the fading effect decrease, when the JSR(jamming to signal power ratio) increases ,the performance of a hybrid DS/SFH Spread Spectrum system improved than DS Spread Spectrum system. The result, we have been proved that performance of a hybrid DS/SFH Spread Spectrum was superior to DS Spend Spectrum system over Nakagami­m fading with tome jamming.

  • In this paper, we propose a wireless data access system, which used direct sequence spread spectrum method and the ISM band with 900MHz radio frequency. By applying bi-directional transmission between wireless transmitter and receiver, it can be effectively connected with any kinds of RF-ID with 900MHz ISM band. Therefore it could economically be used as peripheral equipments for RF-ID system.

  • 본 고는 확산대역 시스팀에서 많이 사용되고 있는 상관기를 이용한 초기동기 장치의 하드웨어 복잡성과 초기동기에 소요되는 시간을 줄일 수 있는 부분 상관기를 제안하고 이의 성능을 컴퓨터 시뮬레이션을 통해 분석하였다. 시뮬레이션을 통하여 입력 SNR 에 따라서 부분상관기의 출력값을 분별지수로 구함으로써, 통신환경에 따른 적절한 부분 상관기의 길이를 구할 수 있었다. 즉 통신환경의 변화에 대해서 초기동기에 소요되는 시간과 하드웨어의 복잡성을 최대한 줄일 수 있는 상관기의 최적 길이를 구할 수 있었다.

  • 이 논문에서는 충격성 잡음과 비선택적 다중경로 페이딩 특성이 있는 매체에서 주파수 도약대역 확산 통신 계통의 성능을 살펴보았다. 충격성 잡음을 나타내는 데에는 ε 혼합모델을 썼고, 통신 매체와 계통의 여러 가지 매개 변수를 바꾸어 가며 이 통신 계통의 오류확률을 수치 계산 방식으로 얻었다.

  • The power line modem proposed in this paper transmits the remote control signal using CSK(Code Shift Keying) and DS/SS method. The CSK technique provides the increased capacity of transmission and robustness towards noise. Besides, the DS/SS technique provides protection against narrow-band Gaussian interference and multi-path interference. The modem supports full-duplex communication using FDD(Frequency Division Duplex) and the modem structure for forward link is same with that for reverse link. To switch each sub-controlled unit smoothly, 4/$\pi$-DQPSK is adopted for noncoherent demodulation. The PN code for spreading spectrum seues to divide each group which consists of sub-controlled units and Walsh code is used for the M-ary CSK technique. Each block is designed and verified with TMS320C5402 DSP. We show the superiority of the proposed method by analyzing numerically the system performance for the factors of the DS/SS and CSK method ullder additive white Gaussian noise and PBI.

Analysis of Channel Capacity for Spread Spectrum Watermarking Systems (대역확산 워터마킹 시스템의 채널용량 분석)

  • In this paper, we derive and analyze the channel capacity of the spread spectrum watermarking (SSW) system as an information-theoretic point of view in closed-form approximation formula in order to analyze the effect of the wireless multipath/shadowing channel. It is important to analyze the channel capacity to transmit an additive data through existing wireless channel by the SSW system. From the results, we confirm that the channel capacity of the SSW system can be determined by the HWR, WNR, PN length and host sampling frequency. Also, we verified that the variation of the channel capacity when the SSW system applied to Nakagami-m fading and Log-normal shadowing channel. The results of this paper can be applied to general spread spectrum watermarking system.

  • This paper describes a study on the digital watermarking algorithm which is used to confirm the copyright protection of digital audio data. The digital audio watermarking algorithm based on psychoacoustic model is used for the inaudibility of the watermark data. The psychoacoustic model which is a key algorithm in MP3 audio compression is analyzed by MATLAB simulation, and is applied to digital audio watermark insertion.
