Effect of Emotional Intelligence on Customer Orientation among Flight Attendants -moderating effect of social support- (국내 항공사 승무원의 감성지능이 고객지향성에 미치는 영향 -사회적 지원의 조절효과-)

  • The principal objective of this study is to examine the relationship between the emotional intelligence and customer orientation in airline service context. Moreover, this study was designed to test the moderating effect of social support to provide fundamental and practical data for airline industry. In this study, 2 hypotheses based on literature reviews were employed. A questionnaire was also developed based on previous studies. A convenience sample of 233 flight attendants was surveyed and a total of 214 usable questionnaires were analyzed. Then the data and hypotheses were examined using multiple regression analysis using SPSS 18.0. The results are as follows. Firstly, emotional intelligence was divided into 'self-emotional appraisal', 'other's emotional appraisal', 'regulation of emotion' and 'use of emotion' according to the literature review. Analysis showed that emotional intelligence has partial effect on customer orientation accordingly. Secondly, social support has partial moderating effects between emotional intelligence and customer orientation. Continuous and systematic training program which build up team work should be conducted to administer 'emotional intelligence'.

Convergence correlation of oral health behavior and planned behavior theory variables before and after oral health education (구강건강교육 전후에 구강건강행동과 계획된 행동이론 변수들과의 융합적 상관관계 연구)

  • This study was performed to determine correlation on oral health behavior and variables of planned behavior theory before and after oral health education. 62 male inpatient alcoholics conducted the structured self-administered questionnaires, and subjects were taken oral health education for 4 weeks. To analysis data, the correlation analysis was conducted. The education group showed a significant positive correlation with oral health behavior and behavior intention, attitude toward behavior, subjective norm, perceive behavior control after oral health education. The relevant variables after the oral health education displayed a higher correlation coefficient and relation in the education group. It suggested an evidence that regular oral health education should be applied to promote oral health for alcoholic inpatients.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 미국 여대생의 자의식, 물질주의성향, 충동구매와 과시적 소비성향간의 관계에 관하여 조사하는데 있다. 상징적 자기완성이론을 이론적 근거로 하여 가설을 설계하였으며, 설문지 조사법을 이용하여 자료를 수집하였다. 편의표본추출법을 적용하여 미국 중서부지역의 한 대학교의 여대생 315명을 연구대상으로 설문조사를 하였으며, 최종적으로 296명의 응답을 연구결과분석에 이용하였다. Stepwise 회귀분석을 통한 분석 결과 공적 자의식은 물질주의성향과 충동구매성향 및 과시소비성향에 정적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났으며, 사적 자의식은 과시소비성향에 부적 영향을 미치는 것으로 나타났다. 또한, 단순회귀분석을 통한 분석 결과 물질주의성향과 충동구매성향 및 과시적 소비 성향 간에 정적인 관계가 있는 것으로 나타났다. 본 연구는 자의식, 물질주의성향, 충동구매와 과시소비 성향간의 관계 메커니즘을 증명해 보임으로써, 사회 심리학적 소비자 행동연구에 이론적 틀을 제시하였다. 또한, 본 연구결과는 미국 여대생을 표적 시장으로 하는 기업이 표적소비자의 소비행동과 심리를 이해하는데 중요한 자료로 이용될 것으로 기대된다.

Approach on the Emotional Relationship between Consumers and Brands based on Triangular Theory of Love -With focus on Mobile Phone Service and Product Brands- (소비자-브랜드 감성적 관계에 대한 사랑의 삼각이론적 접근 -이동통신 서비스와 단말기 브랜드를 중심으로-)

  • This study aims to identify a new direction in the consumer-brand relationship by quantitatively approaching from the psychological aspect consumers' brand love, which is the most powerful strategic element in forming an emotional consumer-brand relationship. What significance does brand love have in a consumer-brand relationship? Brand love is the most fundamental in the emotional consumer-brand relationship. Through brand ownership, consumers add meaning to their lives, and love brands by expressing themselves. Love is a scale that understands consumer-brand relationship from the most interpersonal aspect and can be considered as the most essential element in an empathetic relationship. Consumers' brand love not only determines brand image and reliability but through brand loyalty, it also influences market competitiveness. In addition, as a medium that can overcome brand crisis, it serves as a turning point of the relationship and can enhance the strength of consumers' brand love. Under such generational and theoretical background, this study took a psychological approach on love in emotional consumer-brand relationship. Focusing on the most representative theory and classification of love, Sternberg's Triangular Theory of Love, types of brand love were examined. 552 questionnaires were distributed through a survey with mobile phone service and product brands, and a factor analysis was conducted. Types of brand love revealed through the results of this study were very similar to Sternberg's types of love, and it was found that the types of brand love varied based on product category. It can be suggested that the concept of brand love is an important strategic idea in brand communication.

  • In this study, a model of the effects of advertising on an employee's organizational identification was proposed by combining psychological contract, social identity theory with hierarchy of effect model. Our empirical results show that perceived accuracy of message in advertising affected attitude toward advertising significantly while perceived relevance of message with respondents' department didn't. And attitude toward advertising influenced employee's organizational identification. New findings in this research is the role of attitude toward advertising influencing on employee's organizational identification as mediator variable.

  • 본 연구는 가족의 구매의사결정에 대한 실증조사로서 성별역할관념론 및 자원이론과 가족구성원의 지각된 영향 간의 관계를 규명하였다. 영향을 주는 구성원은 남편과 아내와 자녀로 한정했으며, 영향을 지각하는 가족구성원은 남편과 아내로 제한하였다. 성별역할관념변수는 Scanzoni Sex-Role Scale(SSRS)로 측정하였으며, 자원변수는 남편과 아내 각자의 수입과 교육수준으로 측정하였다. SSRS 는 요인분석을 사용하여 차원(요인)을 파악한 후 자원변수와 함께 지각된 영향 간의 관계를 규명하기 위하여 다변량 회귀분석을 사용하였다. 요인분석 결과는 Scanzoni(1975)의 분석 결과와 요인구조 면에서 차이가 있었다. SSRS 는 아내의 척도 2 개 차원과 남편의 척도 3 개 차원으로 구성되어 있다. 그러나 본 연구에서 남편의 척도는 1 개의 차원으로 나타났다. 조사대상이 된 제품은 TV, 냉장고, 세탁기, 침대, 장롱, 식탁, 자동차, 남성정장, 여성정장, 여행지로 모두 10 개 였다. 성별역할관념변수의 영향을 분석한 결과는 "제품 특이적"이거나, 영향을 지각하는 "지각주체 특이적"이거나, 성별역할관념의 "차원 특이적" 현상을 보였다. 또한 우리나라의 남편들은 성별역할관념변수에 상관없이 자기의 영향을 더욱더 크게 지각하는 반면, 아내의 영향을 더욱더 적게 지각하는 경향이 있었다. 아내들도 남편보다는 자기의 영향을 더욱더 크게 지각하는 경향이 있으나 남편만큼 강한 것은 아니었다. 이 결과를 분석하면 남편들은 남성우월의 전통을 유지하려는 경향이 높은 반면 아내들은 이런 전통에 변화를 기대하는 진보적 성향을 띠고 있는 것으로 해석된다. 본 연구의 결과 자원이론은 지지를 받지 못하는 것으로 나타났다. 다시 말해 자원이론은 부부사이에서 기대했던 영향과 반대 방향으로 나타났을 뿐만 아니라 부모와 자식 간에도 기대했던 것과 반대 방향으로 나타났다.

Multichannel Shopping and Customer Satisfaction: The Role of Shopping Experience and Customer-Firm Relationship Characteristics (다채널 쇼핑과 고객만족: 쇼핑경험과 고객-기업 관계특성의 역할)

  • In recent retail environments, multichannel customer management increasingly has been considered a key element of successful CRM. Although customer's multichannel usage is believed to be potential cause of customer loyalty, the theoretical explanation about this causal relationship still remains unexamined and unanswered. In this paper, the authors present a systematic framework to test the postulated "multichannel usage-shopping experience-customer satisfaction" chain. To this end, we examine that the two core components of shopping experience(convenience and enjoyment) is a mediator of the direct causality of multichannel usage(based on both information search and product purchase stage) on customer satisfaction. Moreover, the authors examine that two types of customer-firm relationship characteristics(relationship age and purchase frequency) is a moderator of the multichannel usage-shopping experience relationship. Using integrating data with survey and customer database of multichannel retail company, the authors empirically test and substantiate shopping experience's mediating role in the multichannel usage-customer satisfaction relationship and customer-firm relationship characteristics' moderating role in the multichannel usage-customer experience relationship. These results suggest that multichannel retailers should deliver favorable shopping experience for building customer satisfaction and differentiate shopping experience according to customer-firm relationship characteristics.

  • In this study, a retrieval system taking advantage of term relationship in a specific domain and also of evidential reasoning as tools for measuring relevance is implemented. For this experiment, techincal memoranda documented in Electronics and Telecommunications Research Institute (ETRI) served as a sample document file. Sample knowledge base was prepared by extracting terms and term relations pertaining to telecommunications from INSPEC thesaurus. Relations between terms were represented by numerical values according to types of term relations. Relationship between a query and a document was measured according to Dempster-Shafer theory of evidence. As a result of this experiment, a more comprehensive search was made by expanding search terms utilizing term relations. Measure of relevance represented by reflecting term relations, and search results were listed in a descending order of relevance.

  • The purpose of this study is to investigate the effects of peer tutoring on academic achievement and peer relationship in computer programming. It was assumed that peer tutoring as an alternative teaching method can positively affect to enhance learners' learning achievement and to develop a closer relationship among learners. To achieve the purpose, an experimental research was performed with 50 10th graders. The results showed positive effects of peer tutoring on academic achievement and peer relationship.

  • 본 연구는 애착관계를 중심으로 모-자녀간 상호작용의 특성 및 외조모 모, 손녀 3세 대간의 애착관계의 전이와 그것이 반영이 사회적 능력에 미치는 영향을 전생애적 관점에서 파악하고자 하였다 연구대상은 만 14-20개월의 영아와 그 어머니 45쌍 국민학교 1,2,3학년 아동과 그들의 어머니 226쌍 그리고 중.고등학교에 재학중인 여학생과 어머니 외할머니로 구성된 모녀간 3세대 140쌍이었다. 본 연구의 결과 애착관계는 전생애에 걸쳐 비교적 높았 고 상호작용적으로 나타났다 그러나 애착의 특징은 발달단계별로 달라 영아의 어머니에 대 한 애착관계는 어머니의 적절한 양육행동이 아동기는 신뢰감을 주는 양육행동이 청년기에는 애착감정이 그리고 중년기 이후에는 자율성만이 애착관계와 관련이 있었다 3세대간의 애착 관계의 전이는 중년기 이후에만 나타났고 애착과 사회적 능력과의 관계는 아동기, 청년기, 중년기, 노년기까지 관계가 있는 것으로 나타나 애착관계가 전생애적으로 사회적 능력에 중 요함을 보여준다. 이상을 통해 볼 때 본 연구는 전체적으로 전생애적 관점에서의 애착이론 을 지지하였다.
