Development of Oxo-biodegradable Bio Film by Using Biodegradable Catalyst (생분해 촉매제를 이용한 산화생분해 바이오 필름 개발)

  • In this study, Biodegradable masterbatch (M/B) was prepared by different kinds and content of biodegradable catalysts added to oxo biodegradable plastics. The bio film was prepared by adding biodegradable M/B to the polyethylene pellet, and the change of physical properties by UV and heat treatment and the stability as food packaging material were confirmed. As a result of the physical property change, Fe salt and Al salt bio film was superior to Ni salt bio film about a decrease in physical property. However, considering the raw material cost and industrial availability, M/B containing Fe salt was selected and additional experiments were conducted by concentration. The bio films prepared with Fe salt M/B 1.0, 1.5 and 2.0 wt% showed excellent physical properties.

  • The reorientations of the atoms by frictional shear deformation at the surface induce cracks at the boundary of the grain. The cracks grow and propagate in regions where the hydrostatic component of stress is least compressive because the compressive component restores the cracks by three-dimensional crystallizing $\pi$-bondings. The materials with Lder's band have very small amount of wear at the initial state. It suggests that initial frictional shear deformation be consumed to the formation of the Lder's band. The average wear amounts of the materials increase very steeply as the øu the stress-strain ratio at the ultimate point, decreases.

  • The dependence of Lankford's value of rimmed steel sheets on plastic strain in investigated in this paper. It is shown that Gotoh's theory predicts the Lankford's value satisfactorily, if suitable material constants are adopted. In addition the strain dependence of Lankford's value in the balanced biaxially-prestrained steel sheets is studied experimentally.

  • 본 연구에서는 열적 스트레스에서 충간 절연지가 받는 열화현상을 규명하고 절연지의 열화가 절연유 열화에 미치는 영향에 대해서 고찰하였다. 변압기 절연물의 열화는 온도와 시간에 좌우되므로 이를 모의화 할수 있는 시험장치를 제작하고 보다 정확한 모의시험이 가능하도록 절연유 열화와 절연지 열화시험을 구분하여 실험하였다. 실험결과 절연유가 열적 스트레스를 받는 경우 열화시간에 따라 절연내력이 감소되었고 유전손실은 증가되었다. 유전손실은 열화시간과 온도상승에 크게 좌우되었다. 절연지가 절연유 내에서 열적 스트레스를 받을 경우에는 열화시간에 따라 인장강도는 급격히 감소되었고 유전손실과 유전율은 증가됨을 알 수 있었다. 또한 유전율의 변화는 절연유와의 절연지의 계면에서 전압 스트레스와 불균일하게 되어 수명단축의 원인이 될 수 있음을 보여주었다.

  • The present study introduces a numerical technique to simulate the mechanical behavior of brittle rock, based on a grain-based model combined with Universal Distinct Element Code (GBM-UDEC). Using the technique, the microstructure of rock sample was represented as an assembly of deformable polygonal grains, and the failure process with the evolution of micro tensile cracks under compression was examined. In terms of the characteristics of strength and deformation, the behaviors of the simulated model showed good agreement with the observations in the laboratory-scale experiments of rock.

  • Material characteristics and lifetime evaluation are very important in design procedure to assure the safety and reliability of the rubber components. In this paper, the material test and accelerated heat aging test were carried out to predict the useful life of NBR and EPDM rubber mount for a compression motor which is used in a refrigerator. In order to investigate the effects of heat-aging on the material properties, crosslink density, modulus at 100% strain, stress-strain curves were obtained from uniaxial and equi-biaxial tensile tests. The change of compression set were used for assessment of the useful life and the time to threshold value were plotted against the reciprocal of absolute temperature to give the Arrhenius plot. The useful life at variable temperatures are obtained in the Arrhenius relationship.

  • Abrasiveness of rock plays an important role on the wear of rock cutting tools. In this study, Cerchar abrasiveness tests were carried out to assess the abrasiveness of 19 different Korean rocks. Cerchar abrasiveness test is widely used to assess the abrasiveness of rock because of its simplicity and inexpensive cost. This study examines the relationship between Cerchar Abrasiveness Index (CAI) and mechanical properties (uniaxial compressive strength, Brazilian tensile strength, Young's modulus, Poisson's ratio, porosity, shore hardness of rock), and the effect of quartz content, equivalent quartz content, which was obtained from XRD analysis. As a result of test, CAI was more influenced by petrographical properties than by the bonding strength of the matrix material of rock. CAI prediction model which consisted of UCS and EQC was proposed. CAI decreased linearly with the hardness of the steel pin. Numerical analysis was performed using Autodyn-3D for simulating the Cerchar abrasiveness test. In the simulations, most of pin wear occurred during the initial scratching distance, and CAI increased with the increase of normal loading.

  • 최근 경량화, 리사이클성, 기기의 소형화, 내환경성 등의 이점을 가지고 있는 알루미늄 합금이 여러 분야서 재인식 되고 있다. 그러나 이런 알루미늄 합금이 부식 환경에 노출 될 경우 음력부식균열이 발생할 수 있게 된다. 이러한 음력부식균열의 발생은 알루미늄의 기계적 특성에 안 좋은 영향을 미치므로 제품의 품질저하, 수명 단축, 효율저하, 재해발생 등 직간접적으로 광범위한 피해를 입게 되기에 부식에 대한 많은 연구가 진행이 되고 있다. 이 중에 고비강도용 알루미늄 압출소재인 Al 6xxx계 합금의 열처리 및 조성 변화에 따른 음력부식 균열의 거동에 대해 연구하였다. 응력부식균열 시험은 SSRT시험으로 많이 하고 있는데, 이 시험은 인장시편을 부식 환경 하에 노출하면서 천천히 일정한 변형속도로 당기는 시험이다. 본 연구에서는 Strain rate를 ${10^{-6}}s^{-1}$ 부식용액은 1M-NaCl + 0.6M-$Na_{2}SO_{4}$ + 0.3%-$H_{2}O_{2}$을 사용하여 시험을 하였다. 그러나 시험에 대한 분석은 Tafel polarization curve, SEM, OMS를 이용하였다.

  • 본 연구에서는 피로 크랙 발생 및 파단수명의 통계학적 분포특성을 명확히 하 기 위해서 단축인장을 받고, 크랙 선단 곡율반경이 일정한 중앙 크랙을 가진 81개의 시험편을 사용하여 4개의 응력 레벨하에서 피로 시험을 행한후 많은 데이터들로 부터 피로크랙의 발생, 파단특성에 대한 신뢰성 있는 통계학적 확률특성을 제시하고, 이들 데이터를 활용하여 수명예측을 행해보고저 한다.

  • Compression and bending test have been conducted to evaluate the mechanical performance of CFRC at several different temperature up to $2000^{\circ}C$ . Tools and several grips for the test at high temperature were designed to obtain mechanical properties of CFRP. A major cause of increasing strength according to increasing the density and the temperature were analyzed. SEM method was utilized to find out the damage and the fracture mechanism. The new simple equation for the L(span length)/h(beam height) of specimens and for the failure criterion on the 4 point bending were proposed.
