A Study on the Location and the Types of Enterprise in Ochang Technopolis in Chungcheongbuk-do(Province), Korea (충북지역 오창과학단지의 입지와 기업유형)

  • The purpose of this study was to look into the formation process and characteristics of local high-tech industrial complex with an example of the Ochang Scientific Industrial Complex and analyzed the characteristics by business type and size, transfer process of the companies in the Complex. For this purpose, statistical data of the companies were analyzed and a survey of them was conducted, and the following results were obtained. First, the Ochang Scientific Industrial Complex was created for agglomeration of IT industries in early days but now there are IT industries and BT industries mixed due to internal and external economic condition. Second, there are more small and medium companies than large companies in the Ochang Scientific Industrial Complex. These companies are in the stage of developing new products and marketing, and many of them were parts and materials developers of core technology or high innovation with venture identification. Third, high rates of the companies in the Ochang Scientific Industrial Complex came from the capital area and the Chungcheong area and the companies which moved in the Complex with their head quarters accounted for more than 70 percent. Fourth, the companies were classified into 5 types according to the type of product and the level of technical innovation.

  • Rural Industrial Complex(RIC) is considered as one of the most important sources of off-farm income in Korea. But RICs has many problems since it was beginning development. In 2008, RICs in Gyeongsangbuk-do are 56 place, and are 836 corportations in RICs. Employee is total 20,109 persons. Competitive power of RICs weak location condition, small business, lack of infrastructure, institute. The main focus of this paper is to derive policy suggestion for Gyeongsangbuk-do RICs. We investigate the operation status of Gyeongsangbuk-do RICs. It is necessary that RICs be promoted in light of revitalization program.

  • This study is to analyze various methods of block design elements applied in the recent apartment housing design competitions for Sejong city. It is expected to find the new design trend and good design characteristics of apartment building forms to use as the basic data of apartment housing design, because it is a case study on the ambitious design competition of the city that many major architectural firms in Korea entered and eager to propose new ideas. The results of this study are following : (1) The forms of slab block are classified into 8 types(the best applying one is ㄱ type). The forms of point block are classified into 9 types(the best applying ones are ㅁ, L and - type). (2) For the shapes of core, the forms of opposite core are classified into 6 types, the forms of parallel core are 3 types. (3) The forms of roof are classified into 4 types. The flat type is applied to 95 percent of the total cases. (4) The shapes of block mass are classified into 5 types(the best applying ones are general and void type), facade forms are 3 types(the best applying one is horizontal division type).

A Study on the User Satisfaction of Type of Parking Lot in Apartment Complex by Structural Equation Modeling (구조방정식을 이용한 아파트 단지의 주차장 유형별 이용만족도에 관한 연구)

  • This study made an attempt to investigate the influential factor and relationship between the type of parking lot and user satisfaction. The types of parking lot in Apartment complex considered in the research is categorized into three types : ground, underground, and combined. A questionnaire survey has been conducted for apartment complex residents to collect research data which has been used for structural equation modeling. The study result tells that the factors of accessibility, safety for pedestrians and cars, environment which are security and cleanness, and convenience are found to be influential for user satisfaction to the type of parking lot and accessibility is seen as the most influential factor among them. The crucial characteristics for user satisfaction by each type of parking lot have also been suggested such as convenience for ground parking lot, accessibility for combined type, and safety for underground type.

  • The industrial network policies of a country play an important role in both present and future economic development. This network is very important for the development of Korea. This paper employs a model for the Korean Network.Section 2 identifies network theory as a theoretical background. Additionally, the process model for the network is developed. In the third section, research methods are detailed. In section 4, a network model based on the industrial estate with regard to innovation networks is formed. Finally, limitations of the study and the conclusions are discussed.

Study on Establishing Earthquake-resistance Reinforcement Measures for Earthquake Disasters in National Industrial Complexes (국가산업단지의 지진재난 내진보강대책 수립 연구)

  • Pupose: The purpose is to prepare safety management and seismic reinforcement measures that can effectively improve the potential risks of earthquake-resistant design and the deficiencies of safety guidance and inspection of factory facilities in national industrial complexes. Method: In this study, problems and improvement measures were derived through investigation and analysis of overall earthquake disaster safety management, such as safety management status and management system in preparation for earthquake disasters in national industrial complexes. was implemented to suggest improvement plans based on facility types and structural characteristics. Result: In conclusion, the problems of safety management and seismic reinforcement in preparation for earthquake disasters in national industrial complexes were summarized and classified into four types (seismic performance evaluation and related system supplementation, authority of tenant companies and local governments, seismic reinforcement and safety management support measures, organizational structure capacity building) to derive improvement measures. Conclusion: Based on this, seismic reinforcement measures that companies in national industrial complexes should implement in preparation for earthquake disasters were prepared, and detailed plans for each measure were presented.

Conditions of the Pruned Parts of the Large Branches in Taegu (큰 가지 전정 후 절단부위 상태에 관한 연구-대구시를 사례지로-)

  • 대구시에 식재되어 있는 조경수목 20종류 199그루를 대상으로 큰 가지 전정 후 부위의 상태를 그루터기의 길이, 절단면의 상태, 가지 깃이 찢어진 여부, 유합제 처리여부를 중심으로 조사한 결과 그루터기의 길이는 근린공원, 시설녹지, 주택단지에서 각각 평균 8.8cm, 3,7cm, 6.8cm로 나타났다. 절단면의 상태에 있어서 돌출되거나 함몰되는 등 매끈하지 못한 경우의 비율은 근린공원, 시설녹지, 주택단지에서 각각 26.7%, 40.0%, 16.7%로 나타났다. 가지 깃(branch collar)이 찢어진 경우의 비율은 근린공원, 시설녹지, 주택단지에서 각각 18.7%, 5.7%, 11.1%로 나타났다. 유합제를 처리한 비율은 근린공원, 시설녹지, 주택단지에서 각각 0.0%, 20.0%, 1.0%로 나타나 대구시 조경수목의 전정 관리상태는 전반적으로 불량한 상태이며, 전정 후 절단부위가 병충해에 의한 감염과 습도에 의한 부패에 매우 취약할 것으로 조사되었다. 또한 절단면의 상태는 그루터기를 기준보다 길게 남긴 경우, 가지 깃 부분이 찢어지거나 부러진 경우, 절단면이 불규칙한 경우와 이상 3가지 유형 중 2가지 이상의 경우가 복합적으로 나타나는 경우 등 4가지로 크게 구분되었으며, 각 유형에 따른 적당한 사후 관리가 필요하다.

  • This study starts from the fact that we need residential complex for the purpose of public interests, rather than for profits, and find a new perspective on the concept of public-oriented residential complex in the cities that had slow growth. In this study, we 1) propose a new concept of the residential complex that can vitalize regional communities and maintain the interest of the public : 'functional-mix', 'social-mix', 'spatial-mix', 2) produce a model simulation based on the development principles including development direction, types of development, and design guidelines, ; six development principles(goal, concept, development type, spatial structure, space element, spatial hierarchy), diversity of housing types, facilities that can vitalize and contribute the regional communities 3) propose practical methods that can realize and promote the proposed concept and model simulation. ; need to amend the housing construction Law.

  • This article analyzes the evolutionary process of Daedeok Science Town from the standpoint of the life of science and technology poles. It deals the theoretical discussion on the science and technology poles, and investigates the history of Daedeok Science Town dividing into the period of conception, construction, and clustering. Daedeok Science Town has been developed from research and academic city through special research parks to innovative clusters, and nowadays emphasizes networking, interaction, and commercialization. This study shows the types of science and technology poles can be analyzed by historical consideration of specific Korean case.

  • This study suggested the following several possible ways to develop Busan New Port as a comprehensive port area which comprises logistics functions, water front(for relaxation and leisure of citizens) and living zone (for dealing with daily works and chores): First, install extra facilities(e.g. plaza or landscape architecture facilities) for environmental cleanup of fishery port in the vicinity of logistic and housing complex. Second, develop water front for better benefits of users. Third, build a water land in leisure facilities for foreign tourists. Fourth, build a landmark in Port Hinterland. Finally, develop appropriate esthetic area for Port Logistics Hinterland.
