비흡착성 추적자시험에 의한 단열대의 수리파라메터 해석

  • 본 연구는 화강암 분포지역의 150m 심도에 분포하는 소규모 국지 단열대에 대한 추적자 시험 결과이다. 해수를 사용하여 관측공에서 측정한 지하수의 전기전도도 변화를 $Cl^{-}$ 농도로 계산하였고, 모멘트해석법과 준해석해를 이용한 해로 단열대에 대한 수리파라메터를 추정하였다. 그 결과를 펄스시험에서 얻은 수리전도도와 비교하였으며, 계산된 수리파라메터를 사용하여 시험구간 내의 유효단열간극의 크기를 구하였다.

Development of Methodology for Fracture Network Analysis in the Unsaturated Zone using MINC Approach in TOUGH2 Code (TOUGH2 전산코드의 MINC 기법을 이용한 불포화 암반 내 단열 해석 방법론 개발)

  • The second phase of low- and intermediate-level waste (LILW) disposal facility is under planned on the sedimentary rock in unsaturated zone. In this study, we created two meshes which were a matrix continuum mesh and a fracture continuum mesh to carry out 2 dimensional numerical modeling for groundwater flow in the unsaturated zone containing fractures focused on the second phase of LILW disposal facility. Two continuum meshes were developed using MINC in meshmaker module of TOUGH2 code. A fracture continuum mesh was included the k-field distribution of the permeability derived from the Discrete Fractured Network (DFN) modeling. To apply the unsaturated zone for the modeling, the gridding steps to generate mesh were developed. Each step to generate a mesh consisted of definition of materials, setting the initial conditions and creating grids using MINC. The methodology development of meshes in this study will be applied for more precise modeling of groundwater flow and mass transport.

전라남도 남악 일원에 분포하는 조간대 퇴적층의 전기비저항 연구

  • 남악지역에 분포하는 조간대 퇴적층의 층서구조와 퇴적심도 및 기반암의 단열구조를 파악하기 위한 전기비저항탐사를 실시하였다. 조간대 퇴적물에서 비저항은 하부로 갈수록 증가하며 대부분 3.0 Ohm-m이하의 비저항으로 고비저항의 기반암의 기반암과 뚜렷한 경계를 보여준다. 퇴적층의 층후는 퇴적지 중앙부에서 30m를 최대로 북쪽 (고해안선)과 남쪽 (영산강)으로 갈수록 감소하는 경향을 보여주는데 선행 조사된 시추결과와 일치한다. 일부 지역의 전기비저항 해석단면과 시추단면에서 견고한 점토질 (stiff)의 지층이 분포하는데 이 지층은 북서-남동 방향의 고해안선과 나란하게 분포한다. 이것은 퇴적물을 공급한 흐름의 방향과 조간대의 확장방향이 북서-남동 방향임을 지시한다. 기반암의 단열구조로 판단되는 저비저항대는 조사지역의 동부에 집중되어 있으며 단열대의 연장방향은 북서-남동 방향이 우세하다.

  • Current technology for radioactive waste disposal facility is operated as part of KURT site characterization in terms of reliability assessment is conducted to expand. In this study, a geological model of KURT surrounding area on the basis of flow characteristics of the site-scale hydrogeological study was about. Distributed in the study area into four boreholes were plotted using the stereo net NS, NW, EW, Low-angle fracture group was able to identify the components of geological models and include top soil layer, belt of weathering, Low-angle fracture zone, fracture zone was divided into. Separated by fracture of the hydraulic test of through the groundwater aquifer that provides the flow hydraulic conductivity and insulation hydraulic affecting the slope of the normal distribution for the size and direction by performing statistical analysis of fracture in the direction of local ns The advantage was confirmed. In addition, Low-angle fracture hydraulic conductivity of the value of 3.61e-07 m/s has a value greater than the major fracture, the fracture zones exist in the base rock and base rock and the hydraulic characteristics of the different methods applied and had to have a different interpretation judged by was.

Fracture Flow of Radionuclides in Unsaturated Conditions at LILW Disposal Facility (불포화 암반 파쇄대를 통한 핵종 이동)

  • Adsorption experiments for radionuclides such as $^3H$, $^{90}Sr$ and $^{99}Tc$ were conducted using fractured rock collected in unsaturated zone. The released radionuclide through artificial barrier from the near surface repository can be transported by the flow of rainfall or pore water through fractures in unsaturated zone and reach to groundwater flow. Therefore, it is important to investigate transport behavior (retardation) of radionuclides through fractured rock for the safety assessment and long-term performance of repository. Fractured rock samples were collected and characterized by X-ray microtomography (XMT) analysis, which can be used to develop a more robust unsaturated fracture transport model. When fracture-filling materials are exist, distribution coefficient of $^{90}Sr$ is higher than without fracture-filling materials. In this study, batch sorption distribution coefficient ($K_d$) of radionuclide was determined and used to increase our understanding of radionuclide retardtion through fracture-filling materials.

Characteristics of the Fracture Distribution on the Granitic Rock by DC and VLF-EM Survey in the Northern Part of Yusong (유성북부 화강암지역에서 전기비저항탐사와 극저주파 전자탐사를 이용한 단열분포 특성)

  • Groundwater flow in rock mass is controlled by the fractures developed in the area. So, the conductive fractures are very important for groundwater flow in crystalline rock. This study aims to find out the characteristics of the fracture distributed in granitic rock in the northern part of the Yusong area (latitude $36^{\circ}24'18"~36^{\circ}25'08",{\;}longitude{\;}127^{\circ}21'00"~127^{\circ}23'23"$). The electric and EM surveys were carried out in the site to delineate the fracture the fracture zones. Since geophysical survey provides non-unique solution, hydraulic data and dilling log data including BHTV scanning were used as complementary data to achieve the objective of this study. Electric survey(DC) arrays used are schlumberger and dipole-dipole arrays. VLF is used for EM survey. The main charcteristics of the fracture developed in the study aera are that fractures associated with basic dyke cut corss the main fracture zone in NNW and play an important role as hydraulic barrier. In trun, groundwater table in the upstream area is lower than that downstream area.

The Micostructural Change During the Mylonitzation of Cheongsan Granite, Korea (청산화강암의 압쇄암화작용 동안에 미구조 변화)

  • Rock structural and microstructural analyses on the deformed Cheongsan granite, which is characterized by abundant feldspar megacrystals, have been carried out to understand the microstructural change during the mylonitization by ductile shear deformation. In K-feldspars, the characteristic microstructures are recognized as microkinks, microfractures, myrmekites, flame perthites, and core-and-mantle structures without the development of subgrains in outer core-zone. Microkinks are observed in both the microfractured and unmicrofractured K-feldspars and the directions of their axes are generally extended across the adjacent K-feldspar fragments bounded by microfractures. Myrmekites and flame perthites are found on the strain-localized boundaries of the microfractured K-feldspars. In plagiclases, microfractures, deformation twins and kink bands are predominant. Grain size reduction of plagioclase megacrysts also occurs by microfracturing but the core-and-mantle structures like the case of K-feldspars are uncommon in the microfractured plagioclases. The deformation twins, which overlap the igneous zoning structures, are often found in less deformed rocks. The twin lamellae in more deformed rocks generally bisect the obtuse angles of conjugate kink-band boundaries, and are microfractured or microfaulted and randomly oriented. From such characteristic microstructures, thus, it can be suggested that the micostructures during the mylonitzation of Cheongsan granite was developed as follows: production of microkinks in the K-feldspar megacrysts and of deformation twins and kink bands in the plagioclase megacrysts, and then grain-size reduction of the feldspar megacrysts through microfracturing, and then production of core-and-mantle structures (grain-size reduction of the microfractured K-feldspars through grain boundary migration), myrmekites and flame perthites in the microfractured K-feldspars.
