Visual Fatigue Evaluation using Eye-movement Detection for Stereoscopic Video (안구 운동량 검출을 이용한 스테레오 영상의 시각적 피로도 측정)

  • 본 논문에서는 3차원 스테레오 영상에서의 시각적 피로도와 안구의 운동량과의 상관관계를 도출하고 시각적 피로도 측정 시스템을 제안한다. 제안한 측정 방법은 3차원 스테레오 영상 시청자의 피로도가 누적되었을 때, 안구의 단속성 운동(saccade)이 감소할 것이라는 가정에 기반을 둔다. 액티브 셔터글라스 방식의 3D 안경을 착용한 시청자의 동공을 검출하고 추적하기 위해 적외선 광원 및 적외선 카메라를 이용한다. 획득한 영상에 대해 이진 임계화를 적용하고 타원 피팅을 수행하여 동공의 위치를 검출한다. 피팅된 타원의 이심률과 크기 및 위치를 제한하여 검출 오류를 줄인다. 검출된 동공의 위치를 바탕으로 안구의 단속성 운동량을 측정한다. 실험에는 변이 정도가 크지 않아 편안하게 시청 가능한 스테레오 영상과 과도한 변이를 가져 시청하는데 불편한 영상이 분리되어 사용되었다. 이들 영상에 대해 각각 실험자의 단속성 운동량을 측정하였다. 실험 결과에서 안구의 단속성 운동량이 변이가 큰 영상에서 그렇지 않은 영상에 비해 감소하는 경향이 나타났다.

  • 본 연구는 도로나 교량 등 공공시설물을 파손하고 국민의 안전을 위협하는 과적차량을 단속하기 위한 업무를 지원하는 시스템을 개발하였다. 개발 과정에서 이동식 검문소의 야외 근무환경과 단속반원의 조작능력, 기동성, 휴대성 등을 고려하여 UMPC를 기반으로 한 이동식 과적단속시스템을 개발하였다. 시범적용 결과, 과적적발자료 작성 시 시간절감과 단속실적보고 업무 등에 효과가 있는 것으로 파악되었다.

  • The speed enforcement camera has been regarded as one of the most important safety countermeasures. Drivers decelerate in front of the speed enforcement camera and gain speed up after passing the camera. So there is a strong need to develop the method how to place the camera to overcome this problem. This study applied the concept of design consistency to the installation of the camera, so speed difference along the road sections should be controlled within the predetermined boundary. Specially, this study also regarded camera as the one of the elements of the road alignments which can change the speed of drivers abruptly, and suggested the way to put this concept into the selection of the placement of the camera.

  • The thesis is automated traffic control equipment system aims to improve. Areas where improvement is needed about the existing automated traffic control equipment by applying the latest technology and to improve the things that can be derived. Reflecting the derived improvements, we intend to present a plan for the design and implementation of a new unmanned traffic control device. The main improvements were designed to change the housing material of the unmanned traffic control equipment, simplify the configuration of the equipment, reduce the weight of the equipment, and change the purpose of the software. In order to evaluate the objective performance of the improved unmanned traffic control equipment through this study, it was requested to a public certification authority. The reliability of the equipment was secured through KC certification and durability test. It is intended to present the feasibility of securing the marketability of the unmanned traffic control equipment by comparing and evaluating the construction period and installation cost with the existing unmanned traffic control equipment.

  • The purpose of this study is to reduce a high speed driving, it is a large scale traffic accident as the most dangerous fact on the highway. So traffic accidents related to high speed driving, a number of automated speed enforcement system has been established up to now. At present automated speed enforcement system in Korea control overspeed vehicle only in the specific spot. Because the drivers generally recognize the previous stated fact. therefore, we need speed control by new system. it is necessary to establish the automated traffic enforcement system based on the travel time speed. In conclusion, we obtain the desired results about automated traffic enforcement system based on the travel time speed. it is important that the number of traffic accidents has decreased and try to secure the safety of traffic.

  • 한국의 도로교통법에는 주취상태에서 운전을 하면 안 된다는 규정이 있다. 그런데 주취운전이라는 말보다 음주운전이라는 말이 더 널리 쓰이는 실정이다. 음주운전 역시 말 그대로 술을 마신 상태에서 하는 운전을 말한다. 우리나라를 비롯한 모든 나라에서는 주취운전의 위험성을 고려하여 이에 대한 단속 기준을 제시하고 있다. 한국은 혈중알콜농도를 확인하는데, 0.05를 단속 기준으로 삼고 있으며 현재 단속기준에 대한 논의가 이루어지고 있다. 경찰은 현재의 음주운전 단속 기준을 0.03%로 강화하는 것에 대하여 의견을 수렴 중이다.

Analysis of the Crash Reduction Effects of the Red Light Camera Systems and Determination of the User Benefits (신호위반 단속시스템 설치에 따른 교통사고 감소 효과와 편익산정 기법 연구)

  • The RLC systems is one of the intelligent transportation systems that has gained a nation-wide support for last decades and being installed to discourage motorists from running the red lights at signalized intersections. It is taken for granted that the RLC will provide motorists with increased safety, so that their installments are always justifiable. However, in order to acquire more efficiency and wider supports from the general public in future RLC installments, an improved methodology for analyzing the effects of the RLC systems is required. In order to satisfy this requirement, this research performed the following tasks. First, the number of signal violations after the RLC systems were investigated in order to check its resulting effects. Second, the number of crashes after the RLC systems were collected and compared with the number of signal violations. Third, a statistical analysis was carried out to develop the relationships between the signal violations and the crashes based on negative binomial distribution. The analysis revealed that the number of crashes has a close relationship with the RLC placement, traffic volume, vehicle speed, the number of phases, and the number of lanes for major approaches. Finally, based on the results found in this analysis, this research presents a methodology for analyzing the safety effects of placing the RLC that should be of service when investigating the economic consequences of the RLC systems.

  • 본 연구의 목적은 정상성인 대상자에게 안구운동 후 인지능력에 어떠한 영향을 미치는지 알아보고자 하였다. 20명의 정상성인을 대상으로 단속성 안구운동군을 설정하였다. 모든 대상자는 사전 사후에 인지기능을 측정하였다. 연구 결과 군내 유의한 변화가 나타났다. 단속성 안구운동이 인지능력을 향상 시키는데 영향을 줄 수 있다고 판단된다.

A Study on Driving Characteristics of Drivers at the Enforcement System Based on Speed Data (무인속도위반단속시스템 설치구간에서의 운전자 운행특성 분석)

  • The increasing interest in the use of automated photographic equipment in Korea enables to detect speed violation and enforce traffic laws. Since 1996, Korean National Police Agency has been promoting a project for installation of Automated Speed Enforcement (ASE) system aiming at reduction of accidents. Recently, point to point speed cameras operate to measure a driver's average speed across length of road and/or the spot speed at individual camera sites along the road length. In this study, we were analyzed to driver's operating characteristics in point to point speed cameras. The point to point speed camera system has link-long influence on drivers and their speeds despite enforcement being visible only at the start and end of enforced road length. Then, mean and 85th percentile speeds were below speed limit along enforced road length by the two camers. Also, Female drivers were driving at low speed than male drivers along the road length.
