  • Erythema multiforme (EM) is an acute mucocutaneous disorder involving the skin, mouth, eyes, and genital organs. It is classified into EM minor and EM major according to the involvement of the mucosal membrane. Stevens-Johnson syndrome (SJS) and toxic epidermal necrosis (TEN) belong to EM major. Compared to EM minor, SJS presents with more severe and progressive symptoms, and has a higher mortality rate. Corticosteroids are used in the treatment of EM. We report three cases of EM (two cases of EM minor and one case of SJS) that developed during treatment with oral corticosteroid (deflazacort; $Calcort^{(R)}$) in children with nephrotic syndrome.

  • Genetic analysis of rainbow trout populations in hatchery stocks is important in order to develop a strategy for their management. In this study, chromosome number and polymorphisms of diploid and artificially induced triploid rainbow trout are discribed. The relation-ship between chromosomal polymorphism and their economic values for the aquaculture industry are also discussed.

  • Erythema multiforme(EM), a blistering and ulcerative inflammatory disorder, affect skins or mucosa, and is thought to be triggered mainly by preceding infection, such as Herpes simplex virus, or exposure to drugs and medication, particular antibiotics or analgesics. Symptoms include typical cutaneous target lesions on skins and in case of oral manifestation, erosive and ulcerative lesions on lips, buccal mucosa, and tongue are known to occur, which needs differential diagnosis with other intraoral lesions. In this case, EM assumed that it is occurred by giving Trichomonas infection or Metronidazole in oral region is introduced with a review of diagnosis and treatment of EM.

  • Fourier transform 적외선 분광기를 사용하여 원적외선 (<200 cm-1) 영역과 중간적외선 (400-4000 cm-1) 영역에서 열수기원 일라이트의 층간 결합상태와 화학조성간의 관계를 해석하였다. 중간 적외선 영역에서는 2M1 다형의 Al-O-Al 및 Al-O-Si 결합이 1Md 형의 것보다 강한 것으로 나타났다. 원적외선 영역에서는 세 종류의 K-O 결합이 111-114, 135-143 및 167-168 cm-1에서 인지되었다. 2M1과 1Md 다형간의 가장 큰 차이는 2M1형의 층간결합이 1Md형보다 상대적으로 강하여 K가 층간에 보다 강하게 결합되어 있다는 점이며, 두 다형의 층간결합의 상태는 서로 상이하다. K-Oinner band는 (OH) stretching band의 진동수가 높을수록 커지며, (OH) stretching band는 팔면체의 양이온 (Fe+Mg)의 함량에도 영향을 받는 것으로 나타났다.

  • 본 연구는 고등동물의 불포화지방산 생합성의 핵심 효소로 알려져 있는 Stearoyl-CoA desaturase(SCD) 유전자의 특정한 단일염기다형(single nucleotide polymorphism; SNP)이 한우의 도체 및 육질형질에 미치는 영향을 분석하기 위해 SCD 유전자의 Intron 7번 영역의 특정부위를 포함하는 primer를 제작하고, 염기서열 분석을 통하여 유전자 구조를 해석한 결과 총 211bp 크기를 갖는 염기서열의 122번째에서 아데닌(A)${\leftrightarrow}$구아닌(G) 염기치환으로 발생한 단일염기다형(SNP) 부위를 발견하였다. 이들 단일염기다형 염기서열 부위를 PCR-SSCP(single-strand conformation polymorphism) 기법을 이용하여 분석한 결과 3종류의 SNP 유전자형(A/A, A/G 및 G/G)을 검출하였다. 이 가운데 A/G 유전자형이 한우의 근내지방도와 등지방두께와 고도의 유의적 연관성이 있다는 새로운 사실을 발견하였다. 따라서, 본 연구를 통해 개발된 한우 SCD 유전자의 특정한 단일 염기다형 표지인자는 한우의 연령 및 성별에 관계없이 육질이 우수한 고급육을 생산하는 우량 한우의 조기식별에 매우 유용한 DNA 표지인자로 활용할 수 있을 것으로 기대된다.

  • Molecular authentication and genetic polymorphism of Korean ginseng cultivars and accessions were investigated using ISSR (inter-simple sequence repeat amplification) markers. Five primers among 56 produced clear and reproducible DNA fragments among seven cultivars and accessions. A total of 43 bands ranging from 250 bp to 1,700 bp from five primers were scored. Average number of bands per primer was 8.6 and only nine bands were polymorphic across the six Panax ginseng from Korea. Especially Chunpoong cultivar exhibited the highest level of polymorphism, whereas other accessions did not showed almost any polymorphism. Consequently, these ISSR markers will be available to differentiate Chunpoong cultivar from other major Korean ginseng cultivars and accessions, such as Yunpoong, Hwangsukjong and Jakyungjong, at the DNA level.

  • Simple sequence repeats (SSR) are widely dispersed throughout eukaryotic genomes, highly polymorphic, and easily typed using polymerase chain reaction (PCR). The objective of this study was to determine the polymorphism of different Chlamydomonas reinhartdtii strains and to determine the mode of inheritance of the SSR locus in Chlamydomonas. A genomic DNA library of C. reinhardtii was constructed and screened with a radiolabeled $(AC)_{11}$ probe for the selection of (CA/GT)n repeat clone. Selected clone was seqeuenced, and PCR primer set flanking (CA/GT)n sequence was constructed. PCR was used to specifically amplify the SSR locus from multiple isolates of C. reinhardtii. The locus was polymorphic in some of the C. reinhardtii isolates. However, the locus was amplified only 4 of 6 isolates of C. reinhardtii, not in other 2 isolates of C. reinhardtii, suggesting that this locus is not extensively conserved. A simple Mendelian inheritance pattern was found, which showed 2:2 segregation in the tetrads resulting from a cross between C. reinhardtii and C. smithii. Our results suggest that this simple sequence repeat DNA polymorphism will be useful for identity testing, population studies, linkage analysis, and genome mapping in Chlamydomonas.

  • In this paper, we present the system that user can search and manage data using united interface and user can define search field dynamically. The feature of this system is that it is possible to manage multiple polymorphic meta information first. Second, there is a database integration bus that can support easy integration between the various systems. Third, it is possible to set the search item for each user which can customize polymorphism data for each user. The system studied in this paper is expected to be capable of managing big data, which is currently well received in the field of ICT. In addition, it will be possible to effectively manage multi-species polymorphic data in various fields in the future and to easily integrate between systems having various environments.

  • To identify germline chimeric chicken using germ cell transplantation method, the testcross, spends much time, labor and cost to perform, is the only way for distinguishing germline chimeric chicken from normal one And to enhance the method, development of breed-specific molecular markers have been needed. We have just identified breed-specific sequence polymorphisms among Barred Plymouth rock, Korean Ogol Chicken and White Leghorn in PMEL17 and MC1R gene the loci of which are identical to dominant white and extended black loci. These sequence polymorphism will be very useful for screening germline chimera.

  • C# 언어로 작성된 프로그램을 정적으로 분할할 때 기존의 객체 지향 프로그램에 이용하던 방법을 일반적으로 적용할 수 있다. 그러나 기존의 두 경로 그래프 도달 가능성 분할 알고리즘을 적용하였을 때 프로시져들 간의 전지적인 종속 관계를 표현하는 요약 간선만을 이용하면 두 번째 경로에서 역추적 할 때 모호성이 발생한다. 이러한 모호성 C#의 이벤트, 델리게이트(delegate)들과 메소드의 다형적 호출 관계에서 발생될 수 있다. 본 논문은 호출된 프로시져의 호출하는 문맥을 설명하기 위하여 호출 지점에서 요약간선 및 경로 간선을 이용하여 C#에서 다형적 호출에 대한 시스템 종속성 그래프(system dependence graph)에 대한 새로운 표현을 제안한다. 이 방법은 다형적 호출에서 발생하는 모호성을 해결할 수 있다.
