A Study on Classification of Interdisciplinary Subjects in DDC (DDC의 학제적 주제 분류에 관한 연구)

  • As the boundaries between disciplines have been weakened and interdisciplinary or multidisciplinary subjects have increased, there is a limitation to express subjects with DDC. This study evaluates DDC instructions using interdisciplinary numbers and classifying more than one discipline through Delphi research. As a result, it is found that there is a need for defining separately 'interdisciplinary subjects' and 'multidisciplinary subjects', based on the level of integration among disciplines, and improving the instruction to maintain the consistency in assigning and filing classification numbers. It is also discussed that to enhance the symbols' power of expression, an analytic/synthetic method could be adopted.

  • 본 연구를 통해 초음속 전투기 날개의 공력-구조를 동시에 고려한 다학제간 설계를 수행하였다. 공력해석을 위해 사용된 3 차원 Euler Code는 수렴 속도를 개선하기 위해 Multigrid를 적용하였으며, 3차의 transfinite interpolation을 사용하여 O-H type의 공력해석 격자계를 생성하였다. 구조 분야는 절점당 54개의 자유도를 가지는 9 절점 쉘 혼합 유한요소(9-node shell mixed finite element)를 사용하여 해석을 수행하였다. 설계변수는 공력쪽으로 날개의 평면형상에 관련된 변수 3개, 구조쪽은 날개 윗면과 아래면의 표피두께에 관련된 4개의 설계변수 사용하였으며, D-optimality 조건을 만족시키는 실험점들에 대해 공력해석과 구조해석이 연동된 정적 공탄성 해석을 수행한 후, 반응면 기법을 이용하여 목적함수와 제약조건에 대한 반응면을 구성하였다. 단일점 설계를 수행한 후 이를 바탕으로 3개의 설계점을 동시에 고려한 다점 설계를 수행하였으며, 공력만을 고려한 설계 결과와 공력-구조를 동시에 고려한 다학제간 설계결과의 비교를 통해 다학제간 설계의 타당성과 우수성을 입증하였다.

Analyzing the Multidisciplinarity and Interdisciplinarity of Humanities and Social Science Journals in KCI: Focusing on General and Miscellaneous Fields (KCI 인문학과 사회과학 학술지의 다학문성과 학제성 분석: 일반 및 기타 분야를 중심으로)

  • This study analyzed humanities and social science (HSS) journals of KCI to examine the multidisciplinarity and interdisciplinarity in the general and miscellaneous fields (hereinafter referred to as 'GM fields'), The multidisciplinarity and interdisciplinarity identified in this study will be a foundation to improve classification of KCI journals in GM fields. Each journal's multidisciplinarity and interdisciplinarity were measured by journal-level entropy and document-level entropy, respectively, in the citation relationships. According to the analysis, GM field journals have wide ranges of multidisciplinarity and interdisciplinarity. To improve classification quality of journals in GM fields, the general humanities should be considered as a new classification class for the multidisciplinary and interdisciplinary journals in the humanities. Furthermore, this study proposes a strategy to reclassify GM field journals of HSS according to their multidisciplinarity and interdisciplinarity.

  • The purpose of this study is to explore a conceptual model of transdisciplinary curriculum in the Field of Engineering and Technology for the Colleges Through the Analysis of the Curriculum Organization and Implementation in the Y College in order to solve problems of current curriculum in the department of automobile engineering in Y college. Methodology is a literature review, focus group interview. The result is that current curriculum is interdisciplinary. The interview to the faculty members in Y college about the applicability of a conceptual model of transdisciplinary curriculum on the course is that transdisciplinary curriculum model could be applied to the course but because of the variety of problems, it would be difficult to apply new curriculum.

The Trends of Cyber Counseling and Psychotherapy (사이버 상담 및 심리치료 동향)

  • There is a growing interest in psychological counseling and pyschotherapy and many experts are working to help clients more efficiently. Given the many advantages of cyber counseling can be a good alternative to traditional face-to-face counseling. This paper examines the trends of cyber counseling and psychotherapy in South Korea. As a result, when comparing traditional counseling with cyber counseling, cyber counseling had advantages such as high accessibility, convenience, cost reduction effect, and inconvenience in face-to-face counseling. In addition, cyber counseling in South Korea began in the late 1980s, and many studies were conducted for teenagers who are familiar with ICT. Lastly, I briefly researched the current status of cyber counseling and psychotherapy in South Korea. Currently, more active cyber counseling and psychotherapeutic interventions are being carried out using images, AI, and VR. However, because the interdisciplinary approach is somewhat lacking, it is necessary to develop various counseling and psychotherapy programs and verify the effectiveness through the interdisciplinary approach.

  • Radiation prosthetic stent is defined as the customized oral devices which serve for an efficient administration of radiation dose to the affected areas or a minimizing the unnecessary irradiation to surrounding normal tissues during maxillofacial cancer radiotherapy. Since the use of stents is individualized, a close collaboration among radiotherapist, surgeon and prosthodontist is essential thereby which helps in limiting the post-therapy morbidity as well as the stable oral rehabilitation. In this report, two customized stents (bolus carrier and tongue depressing) were fabricated and applied to patient undergone irradiation for soft palate and tongue carcinoma selectively. Multidisciplinary approach can be a proper strategy and recommended for control the sequel of post-irradiation.

An empirical study on analyzing the characteristics of R&D group effecting to convergence of R&D outputs: Advanced Research Center Projects (연구집단 특성이 융합연구 성과에 미치는 영향에 관한 실증 연구: 선도연구센터 지원사업 중심으로)

  • Recently, the R&D paradigm has become oriented toward convergence technology and interdisciplinary research. In this study, to elucidate the characteristics of research groups that promote the performance of convergence research, we take into account the input characteristics, disciplinary characteristics and collaborative characteristics of research groups. For this study purpose, 5,217 SCI papers published from 104 centers in Advanced Research Center Projects are analyzed as research outputs. The research findings are that the disciplinary balance in the interdisciplinary characteristics and the number of partners in the collaborative characteristics are positively related to the convergence of R&D outputs. The research field of a group introduced as a control variable exerts a significant effect on the convergent R&D outputs. In conclusion, it is necessary to organize internally with the same number of each disciplinary researcher in a research group and to activate external collaboration with partners in order to produce more outputs of convergent research.

  • For the past 20 years, the growth and development of university-design-educational institutes contributed to the industrial development of our country. Due to the technological fluctuation and changes in the industrial structure in the latter half of the 20th century, the enterprise is demanding professionally-oriented design manpower. The principle which appears from instances of the advanced nations is to accommodate the demands in social changes and apply them to educational design programs. In order to respond promptly to the industrial demand especially, the advanced nations adopted "multidisciplinary design education programs" to lead innovation in the area of design globally. The objective of the research consequently is to suggest an educational system and a program through which the designer can be educated to obtain complex knowledge and the technique demanded by the industry and enterprise. Nowadays in order to adapt to a new business environment, designers specially should have both the knowledge and techniques in engineering and business administration. We suggest that the IPDI, a multidisciplinary design educational system and program is made up of the coordinated operation of major classes, on-the-job training connection, educational system for research base creation, renovation design development program for the application and the synthesis of alternative proposals about the training facility joint ownership by connecting with the education of design, business administration and engineering.

Development of a Computational Electromagnetics Code for Radar Cross Section Calculations of Flying Vehicles (비행체 RCS 예측을 위한 CEM 기법 연구)

  • The ability to predict radar return from flying vehicles becomes a critical technology issue in the development of stealth configurations. Toward developing a CEM code based on Maxwell's equations for analysis of RCS reduction schemes, an explicit upwind scheme suitable for multidisciplinary design is presented. The DFFT algorithm is utilized to convert the time-domain field values to the frequency-domain. A Green's function based on near field-to-far field transformation is also employed to calculate the bistatic RCS. To verify the numerical calculation the two-dimensional field around a perfectly conducting cylinder is considered. Finally results are obtained for the scattering electromagnetic field around an airfoil in order to illustrate the feasibility of applying CFD based methods to CEM.

  • 본 연구는 과학기술연합대학원대학교(UST)를 중심으로 한 과학기술계의 새로운 대학원모델을 평가하는 기법에 주안점을 두고 있다. UST와 일본의 SOKENDAI(The Graduate University for Advanced Studios)를 비교함으로써 새로운 대학원모델의 필요성을 말하고 있다. UST는 커리큘럼과 도제식 수업, 맞춤형 교육체계, 현장 중심형 인력양성체계들이 아직 높은 수준에 도달하지 못한 반면 교육목적과 비전이 상당 수준 만족스럽다는 결과를 얻고 있는 조사를 바탕으로 한 UST의 평가에 관해 다루고 있다. 본 연구에서는 대학평가체계의 네 가지 유형과 함께 토론회와 모든 평가에 부합되는 고급 평론을 통하여 UST에 방법론적으로 적용할 수 있는 평가방식을 제안한다. UST를 위한 새로운 평가방식은 대학원평가를 위한 특수성과 보편성으로 서로 동일하다. UST는 다 학제적이며 신생 융합기술분야에서 현장중심형인 리더십을 갖춘 인재양성을 위한 교육체계를 가지고 있으며 동시에 세계적인 특성을 가지고 있다. 두 요소는 특수성이 더욱 강조된 5:5, 6:4의 비율을 보이고 있다. 앞으로 후속적인 보완연구가 추가되면 더욱 활용성이 높아질 것으로 기대된다.
