Alignment Measuring Apparatus for B-axis of Separated Multi-axis Machine (분리된 다축 장비의 B축 얼라인먼트 측정 장치에 관한 연구)

  • These days, the aerospace industry uses larger machining parts and assembly parts than those in the past. The assembly machines also show the same trend. This study is concerned with the alignment measuring apparatus for the B-axis of a separated multi-axis machine. The alignment measuring apparatus is widely installed for assembly machines in the aircraft assembly process. The alignment measuring apparatus consists of a swivel part and a measuring part. This is a new conceptual idea under patent. All elements of the alignment measuring apparatus are analyzed with the FEM. The analyzed result shows that the alignment measuring apparatus is high in accuracy with stability and steady deformation.

A Study on Verification of NC Code of Multi-spindles Drilling for Tube Sheet in Heat Exchanger (열교환기 Tube Sheet의 다축드릴가공 검증에 관한 연구)

  • A verification of multi-spindles drilling NC data is presented. The drilling of multi-spindles can offer productivity over three times as fast as that of single spindle. The most important things in machining tube sheet are precision of hole position and machining time. The drilling of multi-spindles has difficulties in controlling many motors to drive spindles and assign a correspondent number to each spindles. Multi-spindles drilling has different codes from CNC milling ; many subroutines, assignment of spindle, and so on. The conventional method, which inspects the NC code of the drilling, is to drill holes on a thin plate or tube sheet previously. The method results in low productivity because it consumed long machining time and welding for correction. This paper describes details of multi-spindles NC code and operation of multi-spindles drilling machine. A verification software of the multi-spindles drilling NC code is developed on the details.

벨트구동 선반 주축계의 진동해석에 관한 연구

  • 선반가공은 기계 가공의 기본이라고 할 수 있으며 최근의 선반은 자동화 등의 영향으로 그 구조면에서 많은 변화 를 보여주고있다. 그러나 기본적인 가공법에서는 큰 변화가 나타나지 않는데 이는 선반의 구조상 높은 정밀도를 얻기 힘들기 때문이다. 본 연구에서는 전달 행렬법과 유한 요소법의 장점을 결합하여 다축계의 진동 해석에 적용 가능한 새로운 해석 방법을 제시하고이를 이용하여 선반 주축과 구동축의 진동을 동시에 해석함으로써 주축의 성능을 예측 하고 그 개선 방안을 모색하고자 한다. 본 연구를 통하여 개발된 해석 방법을 적용할 경우 다양한 형태의 계에 대한 진동 해석이 가능하며 유한 요소법을 사용하였을 때에 비하여 계산 시간을 획기적으로줄일 수 있다.

  • The stiffness of multi-articulated industrial robots is very weak, because their structure is an articulated type with some links and joints. Thus it is known that cutting processes for metals are not accepted in machine shop well, but they have a lot of merits for cutting processes, for example, drilling, tapping, and engraving etc, because of the characteristics of their high degree of freedom. The temptation of cutting aluminium was carried out to investigate the feasibility and the limitations or constraints for cutting metals on them. First the mode shapes of 6 degree of freedom welding robot were taken and analysed, and next the cutting processes were practically carried out on it. The results of study were found out to show the feasibility of cutting processes at drilling under 6mm of tool diameter, as well as to have some limitations and constraints, for examples, feed rate, depth of cut and cutting force etc.

  • Screw rotors, the key parts of screw compressors, are used in compressing air and refrigerant due to their high productivity, compact size, low noise and maintenance. In general, a screw compressor is composed of a pair of rotors of complex geometric shape. The manufacturing cost of the screw rotors is high because the complicated helical shapes of the screw rotors are manufactured usually by the dedicated machine tools. In this study, rotor profile is divided into three parts for the efficient machining. The formed tools are designed and shared for the respective split region. By cutting the screw rotor using the formed tools, this method is more efficient than the end mill in machining rotor. Experimental results show that 4-axis machining using formed tools needs less time and has the accuracy.

  • Cylindrical Cam Mechanism is widely used in the fields of industries, such as machine tool exchangers, textile machinery. This paper proposes a method for manufacturing of cylindrical cam in Multi CNC machining center. Multi CNC machining center has two different types depending on the tilting axis. For the manufacturing procedures. in this paper the location and the orientation of cutter path are defined from shape design data of cam. The integral NC code fur the both types of multi-axis CNC machining center can be created using the coordinates mapping between design coordinates and work coordinates. Finally, CAD/CAM program is developed on $C^{++}$ language. This program can display manufacturing and kinematics simulation, which can make integral NC code for multi-axis CNC machining center of two types.
