Analysis of Citation Count based on the Papers in Human Geography of Journal of Korean Geographical Society(Geography) ("대한지리학회지(지리학(地理學))"에 게재된 인문지리학 논문의 문헌 인용빈도 분석)

  • This study analyzed the citation count of papers and authors in the field of human geography through the multidimensional scaling and social network analysis with the papers and their references published in Journal of Korean Geographical Society(Geography). The major findings of this study are as follows. Group formation of common approaches in intelligent network has not formed by cited literature in the field of human geography of a journal representing Korea. Then, each researcher should study consistently on a subject to form a school rather than diversify the field and subject of study. They also need to increase the citation count by accumulating research work with a high degree of completion. In addition, many universities with a lot of enrolled graduate students of master's and doctorate course have a responsibility to encourage the formation of school. Meanwhile, if the master's and doctoral dissertations are not official publications unlike journals, the citation of them should be avoided institutionally because it is the unique phenomena of Korea.

A Study on the Adjectives for Selection of Color Patterns (컬러 패턴 선택을 위한 형용사에 관한 연구)

  • The adjectives for represnting emotions is important to evaluate and select the colors or color patterns. In this paper, we perform the MDS analysis, factor analysis, and cluster analysis to the Soen's experimental data obtained from the evaluation of random color patterns with 13 adjective pairs. As a result, those adjectives can be reduced 3 different factors representing emotions of weight, activity and temperature, which is approximately corresponds the results of previous researches on single colors. Also, we show that the adjectives for preference can be approximate4 by other primary adjectives for color patterns using regression analysis. This implies that one can construct a uniform emotion space for evaluating and selecting color patterns regardless of objects such as wall papers, carpets, and so on.

A Study on Concept Mapping of the Citizen-initiative (주민주도성에 관한 개념도(Concept Mapping) 연구)

  • The citizen-initiative has been frequently mentioned in community building project which is being promoted by Seoul City. The citizen-initiative has become an important concept in the direction of community welfare efforts. However, this concept has not been defined clearly in social welfare. In this context, the purpose of this study is to find how the practitioners of the social welfare practice field recognize the concept of citizen-initiative. In this study, concept mapping method was used to generate 59 statements about the citizeninitiative in 10 social workers in Seoul. Multidimensional scaling analysis and hierarchical cluster analysis are used to do mapping and grouping the 59 statements. The results are as follows. A total of 6 categories were derived. The six categories are named "Inducement of Participation", "Practice", "Procedure", "Awareness and Interest extension", "Expression of Opinion", "Attitude and Emotion". "Practice" category was revealed as a core category in the concept of citizen-initiative. This study is meaningful as a first step to discuss "what is the citizen-initiative?" and to make consensus in social welfare academic area and practice field.

A Study on the Classification of Jeokbyeok-ga's Version by the Computer Analysis Technique of Bibliographies (컴퓨터 문헌 분석 기법을 활용한 <적벽가> 이본의 계통 분류 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the system of the Jeokbyeok-ga's version using the Computer analysis technique of bibliographies and to examine the achievements of the Jeokbyeok-ga's version studies. First, in order to provide basic data for analysis, a raw corpus was constructed for 46 species of Jeokbyeok-ga. Through this, the common narrative units of the Jeokbyeok-ga were identified as 5 layers, and thus 146 individual paragraphs could be extracted. Based on the encoded corpus, we tried to measure the similarity and the distance between the two. Next, we applied the Multidimensional scaling method, Hierarchical cluster analysis and Cladistic analysis method of the system to confirm the distribution of versions group and it was possible to visually grasp the distance between versions and the system of the work. As a result of analyzing Computer analysis technique of bibliographies, it was found that version's group of the Jeokbyeok-ga was divided into a Wanpan(完板) series and Changbon(唱本) series. Also, it was possible to examine the influence relationship between the Pansori's traditions and transmission.

Cluster Analysis Study based on Content Types of <Heungbu-jeon> versions (<흥부전> 이본의 내용 유형에 따른 군집 분석 연구)

  • This study aims to analyze the similarities and dissimilarities of various versions of <Heungbu-jeon> at both micro- and macro-levels using contents analysis techniques and the Hamming distance metrics. The 28 versions of <Heungbu-jeon> were segmented into 341 content units, and for each unit, the value of the content type was encoded. The dissimilarities between content types were compared among all versions by the content unit, respectively. The (dis-)similarities based on the content types of the 28 versions were aggregated and transformed into a distance matrix. The matrix was interpreted by multi-dimensional scaling, resulting into the two-dimensional coordinates. By visualizing the results by multi-dimensional scaling analysis, it was confirmed that the versions of <Heungbu-jeon> can be broadly divided into two groups. Hierarchical clustering and phylogenetic analysis were applied to analyze the clusters of the 28 versions, using the same distance matrix. The results showed that there are five clusters based on the micro-level analysis of (dis-)similarities within two major clusters. This study demonstrated the usefulness of applying digital humanities methods to encode the content of classical literary versions and analyze the data using clustering analysis techniques based on the (dis-)similarity of literary content.

The Study on the Development of the 'Caregiving Affirmation Scale' for Korean Caregivers for the Aged (한국 노인가족부양자의 '부양긍정감척도' 개발을 위한 연구)

  • This study attempts to develop the scale of 'Caregiving Affirmation Scale' for Korean Caregivers for the Aged and to testify the possibility of generalizing the scare. Mixed methods of qualitative and quantitative researches were used to achieve the purpose of the study. The steps of developing the scale were proceeded as follows: Firstly, 40 items were identified through the qualitative study and the literature reviews. Secondly, the content validity was verified through the professional group survey in addition to confirm the questionnaire items by the 1st survey. And thirdly, the construct validity and concurrent validity of the factors of 'Caregiving Satisfaction' were explored by performing the 2nd survey. As the results of the study, the total 16 items of 'Caregiving Affirmation scale' identified with the four sub-factors as follows; 1) Improvement of the care skill and a sense of fulfillment; 2) Possibility of contributions to other persons; 3) Acceptance of the aged; and 4) Improvement of Self-value. The reliability value of Cronbach's α was 0.89 with the high internal consistency and the confirmatory factor analysis showed the relationship between the items and each factor were also statistically significant. Thus, the content validity was verified. Also the correlation with the affirmative care recognition and the life satisfaction was 0.65, which meant the concurrent validity exists. The Caregiving Affirmation Scale for Korean Family Caregivers for the aged is expected to be used at the social welfare practice settings for the aged.

A study of the free drawing GUI of the touch phone by human sensibility ergonomics approach (감성 공학적 접근에 의한 터치폰의 자유 드로잉 GUI에 대한 연구)

  • 본 연구는 감성공학적 접근법으로 터치 모바일 폰의 자유 드로잉 GUI 요소를 디자인 하기 위한 프로세스를 검증하는 것이 목적이다. 본 연구의 프로세스는 다음과 같이 진행되었다. 첫째, 터치폰에서 자유드로잉하는 행태를 파악하기 위하여 남 녀 대학생 57 명을 대상으로 터치폰 일기를 쓰게 하여 분석하였다. 또한 관찰 대상자가 선호하는 패션, 좋아하는 이미지를 수집하여, IRI 표준 이미지 스케일 맵에 매핑하여 감성 요소를 추출하였다. 둘째, 추출된 감성 요소는 Norman(2002)에 의거한 감각적(Visceral), 행태적(Behavioral), 심볼적(Reflective) 감성 어휘로 도출하고, 요인 분석을 통해 대표 감성 어휘를 도출하였다. 셋째, 자유 드로잉을 위한 터치 모바일폰 GUI 요소를 도출한 후 대표 감성 어휘와의 관계성을 분석하여 관계성이 높은 디자인 요소를 추출하였다. 마지막으로 추출된 대표 디자인 요소와 대표 감성 어휘는 다차원척도(Multidimensional scaling : MDS) 분석을 실시하여 2 차원 축에 모델링하고, 정량적으로 디자인에 반영될 주요 감성을 도출해본 결과 사용자의 감성적 경험을 통해 도출된 GUI 와 유사성이 높은 감성 어휘는 감성적 디자인을 할 때 주 요소로 적용 된다는 사실을 확인하였다.

An Analysis of the Intellectual Structure of Assistive Technology Journal Using Co-Word Analysis (동시출현단어 분석을 이용한 보조공학 저널의 지적구조 분석)

  • The purpose of this study is to present the intellectual structure of Assistive Technology Journal using co-word analysis of keywords. The articles of Assistive Technology Journal were collected from Web of Science citation database. 255 articles during the period from 2003 to 2015 were selected for the analysis. And 1,359 author keywords were extracted from the articles. In order to analyze the intellectual structure of Assistive Technology Journal, clustering analysis was conducted and 5 clusters were determined. Next, 5 clusters are presented in the map of multidimensional scaling. The results of this study are expected to assist in exploring the future directions of the researches on assistive technology.

  • Nowadays, the design and development of footwear are focused on not only to protect feet against some injuries also to satisfy its personality and high-quality based on customer' subjective sensibilities. Many image source based human sensibility is needed to establish concept of footwear by new idea in design process. For satisfying costumer's and designer's disires, this study is concerned to evaluate and analyze images using human sensibility and construct image source D/B according to the result. The image evaluation performed by internet is used 1,000 Images classified into four groups(structure or architecture, transportation device, natural articles and home appliance), and 300 subjects are participated. Finally, the web D/B is constructed by the result of image evaluation that is performed statistical analysis(basic statistic, factoranalysis and multi-scaled analysis).

  • Multidimensional scaling(MDS) is a statistical multivariate analysis technique that is often used in information visualization for exploring similarities or dissimilarities in data. In order to analyse and visualize data, MDS measures the dissimilarities between objects and uses them or their mean if they are repeatedly measured. When there exist outliers or when the variation of data is too large, we can hardly get reliable results on the research using MDS. In this paper, we consider the MDS based on bootstrap method when the variation of data is large. Standardized residual sum of squares is considered as measuring goodness-of-fit of the model. A real data analysis is include to examine our approach.
