Anomaly Detection Technique of Satellite on Network RTK (Network RTK 환경에서 위성에 의한 이상 검출 기법)

  • A positioning technique using the augmentation system has been researched to improve the accuracy. The network RTK is the precise positioning technique using carrier phase correction data from reference stations and is constantly being researched. The study for the system accuracy has been performed but system integrity research has not been done as much as system accuracy. In this paper, we presented the anomaly detection algorithm by satellite system and the diagnosis algorithm to a basic research in the integrity on network RTK. And the presented algorithms are verified on the DL-V3 dual-frequency receiver and the simulated error scenario using the GSS7700.

A Study on the Performance Analysis and Improvement of Physical Layer for Next Generation ITS/DSRC (차세대 ITS/DSRC 물리계층 성능분석 및 개선에 관한 연구)

  • In this paper, the channel environment for next generation ITS/DSRC which is developed for 10Mbps is modeled with ray tracing technique and, we analyzed BER of OFDM which has an advantage over reducing the effect of ISI with multi-carrier and guard time, occuping bandwidth on 6-ray channel environment. Also, we applied the one-tap equalizer to improve the performance of BER. In case only OFDM is applied with 32 sub-carrier, the result of BER is under $10^{-6}$ from 10 to 100m if $E_b/N_0$ is more than 23dB. But in case OFDM and one-tap equalizer are applied with 32 sub-carrier, $E_b/N_0$ is required of about 17dB to achieve BER under $10^{-6}$.

  • FBMC/OQAM(Filterbank multicarrier on offset-Quadrature Amplitude Modulation) system is a multicarrier modulation which is not need to use cyclic prefix(CP). The CP of OFDM/QAM (orthogonal frequency division multiplexing on Quadrature Amplitude Modulation) system decreases data transmission rate. However, SER(symbol error rate) performance of FBMC/OQAM system is worse than OFDM/QAM system with frequency 1-tap equalization scheme in the frequency selective channel. In this paper, an iterative channel estimation and equalization scheme is performed in a frequency oversampling domain about each sub-channel of FBMC/OQAM system and SER performance using computer simulation is shown. Using the proposed scheme, the SER performance approaches to that of OFDM/QAM system in a frequency selective channel.

Compensation of Nonlinear Distortion Using a Predistorter Based on Real-Valued Fixed Point Iterations in MC-CDMA Systems (MC-CDMA 시스템에서 실수 고정점 반복 기반의 전치왜곡기를 이용한 비선형 왜곡 보상)

  • We propose a predistorter to compensate for nolinear distortion induced by a high power amplifier employed in multi carrier-code division multiple access (MC-CDMA) systems. The proposed scheme rests upon the fixed point iteration (FPI) associated with the contraction mapping theorem. Unlike the predistorter based on the FPI already presented by the authors in other literatures which operates on complex-valued modulation signals, the proposed predistorter in this paper deals with real-valued FPI on modulation signal amplitudes, resulting in less complexity. Simulation results on a BPSK-modulated, 64-subcarrier synchronous MC-CDMA baseband system with a traveling wave tube amplifier in the transmitter, indicate that the proposed predistorter achieves significant improvement in terms of bit error rate and total degradation over those without the predistorter. Moreover, the proposed predistorter outperforms the complex-valued counterpart, in particular, for small output back-off levels.

A Design of OFDM Signal for Reducing the ICI Caused by Phase Noise (위상잡음에 의한 ICI를 제거하기 위한 OFDM 신호 설계)

  • In the multi-carrier OFDM communication system for the high data rate transmission, the ICI caused by phase noise of transceiver local oscillator may degrade the system performance seriously. In this paper, a new ICI self-cancellation scheme using data-conjugate method is proposed to reduce the ICI caused by phase noise effectively. Then, the CPE, ICI and CIR are derived by the phase noise linear approximation method. Besides, to analyze the efficiency of system performance improvement, the proposed method is compared with the original OFDM and the conventional ICI self-cancellation scheme using data-conversion method. As results, the performance degradation caused by ICI can be mitigated effectively in the OFDM system with ICI self-cancellation scheme, and more performance improvement can be achieved by the proposed ICI self-cancellation scheme using data-conjugate method than the conventional ICI self-cancellation scheme using data-conversion method when phase noise exists.

  • UFMC is known as the one among novel multi-carrier modulation techniques which are designed for replacing OFDM for 5G wireless communication systems. It is the generalized model of OFDM and FBMC, which combines the advantages of OFDM and FBMC and avoids their weak points. UFMC is more robust in synchronization condition like Time-frequency misalignment compared to CP-OFDM. Moreover UFMC is more proper to burst uplink transmission like M2M 5G Communications. In this paper we analyze the BER performance in various channels and speeds. The simulation result shows that the BER performance is lowered when mobile devices are moving fast and the BER performance is so sensitive for the good channel environment.

  • Since impulse-radio-based ultra wideband (IR-UWB) do not use carrier frequency but use very short pulse to transmit data it sends data not continuously but discretely and this feature gives the potential to reduce collision in multi-user environment. In this paper, we analyse characteristic of IR-UWB and propose a new collision paradigm, Collision Distribution which changes collision level from packet to pulse. In Collision Distribution mechanical each node sends data with its own pulse interval in random time, distributed manner. It prevents packet drop due to packet collision. We show that Collision Distribution can reduce packet error and can provide real time packet transmission with analysis.

  • A protocol for the web-based GPS data processing system has been developed. The system is developed following the typical ASP system, in which the GPS data acquired by various users can be uploaded through the web and the data is processed with data processing components selected by the users. After the processing, the results are also transported to the users through the web. The developed system is designed for easy software upgrade and it is an synchronous process mode so that the multiple accesses can be handled with high user flexibility. The database components for the efficient GPS data maintenance are developed so that the data from CORS can be used for the data processing. Currently, the absolute and relative positioning algorithms using code measurements are integrated and much more algorithms such as the data quality control, absolute and relative positioning using phases will be integrated in near future.

Design of Fault-Tolerant Node Architecture based on SCM in Optical Burst Switching Networks (광 버스트 스위칭 망에서 장애에 둔감한 SCM 기반의 노드 구조 설계)

  • In optical burst switching(OBS) networks, the ingress edge router assembles packets in the same class queue into the appropriate size of burst. A burst control packet(BCP) is generated for channel reservation of corresponding data burst and sent earlier than the corresponding data burst with an offset time. Offset time is determined considering the number of hops from source to destination and the required quality of service(QoS). After offset time, the burst data is passed through tile pre-configured optical switches without any O/E/O conversion. But a failure in OBS networks may lead to the loss of bursts until the ingress nodes receive the failure indication signal. This results in a significant degradation in QoS. Therefore, in this paper, we propose a fault-tolerant node architecture based on sub-carrier multiplexing to reduce the effects of failure in OBS networks. The Performance of the proposed fault-tolerant node architecture exhibits considerable improvement as compared with the previous ones.
