Management and Control Scheme for Next Generation Packet-Optical Transport Network (차세대 패킷광 통합망 관리 및 제어기술 연구)

  • Increase of data traffic and the advent of new real-time services require to change from the traditional TDM-based (Time Division Multiplexing) networks to the optical networks that soft and dynamic configuration. Voice and lease line services are main service area of the traditional TDM-based networks. This optical network became main infrastructure that offer many channel that can convey data, video, and voice. To provide high resilience against failures, Packet-optical networks must have an ability to maintain an acceptable level of service during network failures. Fast and resource optimized lightpath restoration strategies are urgent requirements for the near future Packet-optical networks with a Generalized Multi-Protocol Label Switching(GMPLS) control plane. The goal of this paper is to provide packet-optical network with a hierarchical multi-layer recovery in order to fast and coordinated restoration in packet-optical network/GMPLS, focusing on new implementation information. The proposed schemes do not need an extension of optical network signaling (routing) protocols for support.

Pattern Extraction of EMG Signal of Spinal Cord Injured Patients via Multiscaled Nonlinear Processing (다중스케일 비선형 처리를 통한 척수 손상 환자의 근전도 신호 패턴 추출)

  • The voluntary contracted EMG signal of spinal cord injured patients is very small because the information from central nervous system is not sufficiently transmitted to $\alpha$ motor neuron or muscle fiber. Therefore the acquisited EMG signal from needle or surface electrodes can not be identified obvious voluntary contraction pattern by muscle movement. In this paper we propose the extraction technique of voluntary muscle contraction and relaxation pattern from EMG signal of spinal cord injured patient whose EMG signal is composed of the linear sum of mo색 unit action potentials with two noise sources, additive noise assumed to be white Gaussian noise and high frequency discharge assumed to be not motor unit action potential but impulsive noise. In order to eliminate impulsive noise and additive noise from voluntary contracted EMG signal, we use the FatBear filter which is a nonarithmetic piecewise constant filter, and multiscale nonlinear wavelet denoising processing, respectively. The proposed technique is applied to the EMG signal acquisited from transverse myelitis patients to extract voluntary muscle contraction pattern.

  • This paper designed and fabricated the printed dual monopole antenna with CPW feeder for PCS and UWB(Ultra-Wide Band) band. In this paper, modified dual monopole antenna is proposed transform conventional monopole antenna to get dual band frequency. The dual monopole antennas have dual band, broad bandwidth and omni-directional radiation patterns, as it is the conventional monopole antenna. As one monopole operated a stub to match feed line with antenna, we are obtained easy an ideal impedance matching. It is increased band width of impedance. The antenna bandwidth is about 1350MHz (1.69~2.04[GHz]z]) at 1st resonance frequency, 2,670MHz (4.33~6[GHz]) at 2nd, resonance frequency, and, 3,980MHz (6.1~10.08[GHz]) at 3th resonance frequency on VSWR$$\leq_-$$2, and then we can be got not only 1.75~1.87 [GHz] PCS band but also, UWB band.

  • In this paper, implementation of active noise curtains using multiple channel adaptive filters is presented. The same numbers of single channel LMS algorithms as control loudspeakers is used instead of a multi-channel LMS algorithm to reduce the computational burden of adaptive filter algorithms. In general, a multi-channel LMS algorithm is usually used in active noise control system. but this algorithm has much more computational complexity. The single channel control techniques have less amount of DSP calculation, compared to multiple channel control techniques. A stabilizing procedure for adaptive IIR filters is also proposed to improve the stability of recursive LMS algorithms. Both experimental results of two control techniques using TMS320VC33 digital signal processor show the similar noise reduction, but the single channel control techniques are more efficient in practical active noise curtain applications

  • For data fusion of laser range finder (LRF) and vision camera, accurate calibration of external parameters which describe relative pose between two sensors is necessary. This paper proposes a new calibration method which can acquires more accurate external parameters between a LRF and a vision camera compared to other existing methods. The main motivation of the proposed method is that any corner data of a known 3D structure which is acquired by the LRF should be projected on a straight line in the camera image. To satisfy such constraint, we propose a 3D geometric model and a numerical solution to minimize the energy function of the model. In addition, we describe the implementation steps of the data acquisition of LRF and camera images which are necessary in accurate calibration results. In the experiment results, it is shown that the performance of the proposed method are better in terms of accuracy compared to other conventional methods.

  • To generate a complete 3D model from depth images of multiple RGB-D cameras, it is necessary to find 3D transformations between RGB-D cameras. This paper proposes a convenient view calibration technique using a spherical object. Conventional view calibration methods use either planar checkerboards or 3D objects with coded-pattern. In these conventional methods, detection and matching of pattern features and codes takes a significant time. In this paper, we propose a convenient view calibration method using both 3D depth and 2D texture images of a spherical object simultaneously. First, while moving the spherical object freely in the modeling space, depth and texture images of the object are acquired from all RGB-D camera simultaneously. Then, the external parameters of each RGB-D camera is calibrated so that the coordinates of the sphere center coincide in the world coordinate system.

Estimating Leaf Nitrogen Content of Rice Canopies Using Ground Sensors and Satellite Imagery (지상센서와 위성영상을 이용한 벼 군락의 엽 질소함량 추정)

  • 지상측정 및 위성영상탑재 광학센서를 이용하여 벼 주요 생육시기에 대한 군락의 엽질소 함량을 추정하였다. 6월부터 10월에 걸쳐 주요 생육시기 $5{\sim}6$회에 걸쳐 Orbview 및 QuickBird와 같이 4m 이하의 고해상도 다중영상을 취득하였다. 위성영상 취득일에 가능한한 맞추어 인공광원을 사용하는 2종의 능동형 광학 (G)NDVI 센서를 이용한 벼 군락의 반사특성을 측정하였으며 동시에 식물체 샘플링을 통한 생육량, 엽면적지수, 엽질소 함량 등을 분석하였다. 시기별 영상의 분광반사특성 및 (G)NDVI와 벼 생육량 및 엽질소 함량과의 관계를 알아보기 위해 상관분석 및 회귀분석을 수행하였다. 지상센서 및 위성영상 유래 (G)NDVI의 값을 서로 비교해 보면 전체적으로 지상센서를 이용하여 측정한 (G)NDVI값이 위성영상 유래 (G)NDVI값보다 크게 나타났다. 하지만 두 센서 모두 엽면적지수 변화에 따른 (G)NDVI의 변화를 살펴보면 엽면적지수가 2 정도가 될 때까지는 함께 증가하다가 2보다 커지면서는 변화가 없이 머무르는 경향은 같게 나타났다. 엽면적지수의 변화는 군락의 엽질소함량 변화와 선형적인 관계($R^2=0.80$)로 나타났다. 분얼기부터 성숙초기까지의 자료를 이용하여 지상센서 및 위성영상 유래 (G)NDVI를 이용한 벼 군락의 엽질소 함량과의 관계를 살펴보니 지수함수적 관계($R^2=0.90$)로 나타났다. 위성영상 유래 (G)NDVI를 이용한 벼 군락의 엽질소 함량 추정식을 이용하여 신평면 최고쌀 생산단지에 대한 엽질소 함량 지도를 작성하였다.

  • Machine learning has been extensively studied in recent years as effective tools in pattern classification problem. Although there have been several approaches to machine learning, we focus on the mathematical programming (in particular, multi-objective and goal programming; MOP/GP) approaches in this paper. Among them, Support Vector Machine (SVM) is gaining much popularity recently. In pattern classification problem with two class sets, the idea is to find a maximal margin separating hyperplane which gives the greatest separation between the classes in a high dimensional feature space. However, the idea of maximal margin separation is not quite new: in 1960's the multi-surface method (MSM) was suggested by Mangasarian. In 1980's, linear classifiers using goal programming were developed extensively. This paper proposes a new family of SVM using MOP/GP techniques, and discusses its effectiveness throughout several numerical experiments.

  • In planning phase of Public Multi-Housing Projects, it is required to develop the methodology and criteria for fair cost prediction with influencing power from planning phase to occupancy phase. Many studies still have focused on the prediction of cost by multiple regression. However, there is no logical explanation about the influence of nonmetric variables for the prediction of cost in planning phase. Accordingly, this research pursues a cost prediction model including nonmetric variables for use in planning phase. There are 3 steps of this research : 1) Finding the factors influencing construction cost and assigning variables for a multiple regression. 2) Conducting a dummy regression analysis with nonmetric variables and model validation by comparing actual cost data. 3) Developing the ratio of RC structure cost to wall structure cost by using cost predection model. The results could establish cost prediction process including the influence of nonmetric variables and the ratio of RC structure cost to wall structure cost.

Design of a Doherty Power Amplifier Using the Spiral PBG Structure for Linearity Improvement (나선형 구조의 PBG를 적용한 도허티 전력증폭기의 선형성 개선)

  • In this paper, the linearity of Doherty power amplifier has been improved by applying a new Photonic Bandgap(PBG) structure on the output of amplifier. The reposed spiral PBG structure is a two-dimensional(2-D) periodic lattice patterned on a dielectric slab that does not require nonplanar fabrication process. This structure has more broad stopband and high suppression performance than the conventional three cell PBG. Also, It has a sharp skirt property. We obtained the 3rd-order intermodulation distortion(IMD3) of -33dBc for CDMA applications with that of maintaining the constant power added efficiency(PAE), the IMD3 performance is improved as much as -8 dB compared with a Doherty power amplifier without PBG structure. Moreover, the physical length of PBG is shortened, therefore the whole amplifier circuit size is considerably reduced.
