A Study on Issue Tracking on Multi-cultural Studies Using Topic Modeling (토픽 모델링을 활용한 다문화 연구의 이슈 추적 연구)

  • The goal of this study is to analyze topics discussed in academic papers on multiculture in Korea to figure out research trends in the field. In order to do topic analysis, LDA (Latent Dirichlet Allocation)-based topic modeling methods are employed. Through the analysis, it is possible to track topic changes in the field and it is found that topics related to 'social integration' and 'multicultural education in schools' are hot topics, and topics related to 'cultural identity and nationalism' are cold topics among top five topics in the field.

  • ISO 14651을 이용하면 간추리는 차례가 공통 틀 표 (Common Template Table)에 들어 있기 때문에 글자의 간추리는 차례를 바꾸더라도 간추리기 프로그램을 바꿀 필요가 없다. 남쪽과 북쪽의 가나다 차례를 통일하지 않고 순서가 다른 문제를 해결할 수 있는 방법은 ISO 14651 을 활용해야 한다. 본 논문에서는 북쪽의 한글 가나다 차례를 남쪽에서 활용할 수 있도록 하기 위해서 북쪽의 한글 가나다 차례를 포함하는 북쪽 로캘을 만들고, 입력된 글자떼를 남쪽 혹은 북쪽의 한글 가나다 차례에 따라 간추리기 할 수 있는 프로그램을 개발하였다.

  • 본 논문은 후술할 다출력 스위칭 회로의 최소성 기준(Criteria of Minimality)에 의한 최소의 다출력 스위칭 회로를 설계하는 데 목적을 두고 있다. 이에는 단일 출력 스위칭 함수에 적용된 바 있는 Direction of Adjacency Table 방법이 다소 변경되어 다출력 스위칭 회로에 적용되었다. 이르 위하여 기존의 Direction of Adjacency Table을 다출력 함수의 최소화에 적합하도록 변경한 Extended Direction of Adjacency Table이 구성된다.

The Effect of Family Poverty on the School Adjustment of Multi-cultural Adolescents (다문화 청소년의 학교적응에 가구 빈곤이 미치는 영향)

  • The purpose of this study is to examine the effect of family poverty on the school adjustment of multi-cultural adolescents in Korea. For this purpose, the 7th data of Multi-cultural Adolescents Panel Study(MAPS) was used and the OLS multiple regression models ware applied. to the analyses. From the result of the OLS model analyses, we found out that family poverty affect significantly on the school adjustment of multi-cultural adolescents. Especially, family poverty has the significant negative(-) effects on academic achievement and friend relationships. These results of this study show that family poverty is an important factor influencing the school adjustment of multi-cultural adolescents. And they confirm that family poverty during period of the adolescent has an important meaning and influence on the aspect of school adjustment as to the multi-cultural adolescents. Implications of this study may be that policy attentions are necessary to not only multi-cultural characteristics but also family background such as poverty in oder to improve the school adjustment of the multi-cultural adolescents. In addition, results of this study suggest that more special support and interventions are requested to the multi-cultural adolescents from poverty families who are suffering dual difficulties such as multi-cultural problems and poverty problem.

Predictors of Multi Cultural Competence of Secondary School Students (중·고등학생의 다문화 역량에 영향을 미치는 요인 연구)

  • The purpose of this study was to find whether national identity, value orientation, cultural sensitivity influence Multi cultural competence of secondary school students. The significant result out of this research was that Multi cultural competence were different by its concerned variables. The results of hierarchical regression analysis reveal that changes to each of the models were checked by introducing a new group of variables in each stage. Then the influences of the concerned variables including national identity, value orientation, and cultural sensitivity on multi cultural competence were tested through the influence and significance of the variables and the changing explanatory power of the entire models.

A Study on the Cultural Competency and Demand for a Multicultural Education Program among Nursing College Students (간호대학생의 문화적 역량과 다문화 교육 요구도에 관한 연구)

  • This study analyzed the cultural competency and demand for a multicultural education program among nursing college students. The participants were 278 college students gathered through convenience sample method. Data were collected from November, 19 to 30, 2012 and analyzed using SPSS/PC Win 12.0 program. The major findings were as follows, First, the mean scores of cultural competency and demand for a multicultural education program were 2.8 and 3.9. respectively. Second, cultural competency scores of students varied with multicultural educational course experience. Third, demand for a multicultural education program varied in accordance with student's views of the necessity of multicultural education. Our results suggest that, courses focusing on understanding multicultural clients are needed and highly desired by nursing students.

A Study on Factors Affecting Multicultural Efficacy of Early Childhood Teachers (유아교사들의 다문화효능감에 영향을 미치는 요인 연구)

  • The purpose of this stud is to find out what factors that multicultural awareness and multicultural attitude of early childhood teachers affect multicultural efficacy are. In order to achieve this research purpose, the survey was carried out by using questionnaires targeting 394 early childhood teachers working in Early Childhood Educational Institutions located in I city. The response results are as follows: First, multicultural awareness, multicultural attitude, multicultural efficacy of early childhood teachers did not show any difference by workplace. Second, it turned out that there is a significant correlation between multicultural awareness, multicultural efficacy of early childhood teachers. Third, it turned out that multicultural awareness and multicultural attitude of early childhood teachers have a positive influence on multicultural efficacy. In view of the results of this study, multicultural efficacy can be improved when awareness and attitude of early childhood teachers on multicultural education are changed so it is thought that various studies that can continuously conduct multicultural education training programs etc. for early childhood teachers should be conducted.

  • The purpose of this study is to establish the social support system for social integration by analyzing the effect of multicultural experiences on multicultural perception and stereotype and the meditating effect of multicultural perception. The research result is summarized as follow : First, multicultural perception is differently influenced according to multicultural experiences. That is, multicultural experiences have found to have the positive effect on multicultural acceptance and the negative effect on rejection about other cultures or prejudice about other cultures. Second, the result which analyzed the effect of multicultural perception on stereotype has found that acceptance about other cultures doesn't have any effect on stereotype. However, it can be found that the prejudice and rejection about other cultures are verified to be the variables which have the positive effect on stereotype. Third, the result which analyzed the direct effect of multicultural experiences on stereotype and the indirect effect through multicultural perception has found that multicultural experiences don't have any direct effect on stereotype, but do have the indirect effect through multicultural perception. With the help of information technology.

  • This study is designed to verify structural relations between multicultural family's functions, multicultural family mothers' parental efficacy, and multicultural family children's social competence with the subjects of multicultural family mothers and children. To attain the goal, the researcher collected data through a survey with a self-administered questionnaire conducted to multicultural family mothers and multicultural center workers taking care of multicultural children and utilized 156 sheets for final analysis. According to the study results, multicultural family's functions exert positive effect on multicultural family mothers' parental efficacy, and multicultural family mothers' parental efficacy indicates positive effect on multicultural children's social competence. Also, multicultural family mothers' parental efficacy has completely mediating effect in the relations between multicultural family's functions and multicultural children's social competence. Based on these study results, the researcher suggests ways to intervene with multicultural family mothers and multicultural family in order to help multicultural children grow and develop soundly.
