This study attempts to suggest effective strategies for public library services for multicultural polpulation in Busan metro area. Emphasis was put on the perceived problems and strategies of librarians who are in charge of multicultural services in three public libraries in Busan. Specifically, this study surveys major issues, problems, and solutions related to serving multicultural population in public libraries. For this, the study collected data from qualitative interviews with informants and analyzed contents. It is expected that the results of the study will provide multicultural agencies with primary data to restructure the service programs for immigrants in Korean public libraries.

To resolve the problem that multicultural people in Korea suffer from difficulties especially with prejudice and discrimination, it is necessary to raise the cultural diversity in communities in Korea through cultivating multicultural awareness among non-multicultural people. In this vein, public libraries, as cultural exchange institutes, can affect multicultural awareness of the people. This study investigated how characteristics of public libraries and their local communities are related to the users' multicultural awareness. The study found that multicultural awareness of library users was significantly influenced by the characteristics of public libraries but not by the characteristics of communities. It is suggested that public libraries should consider cultural diversity on overall library services for their general users to support their multicultural awareness.

This study suggests that multicultural education should not be limited to educational sites such as kindergartens. Since the multicultural attitudes and consciousness of young children are unconsciously acquired through parents' words and school education, they emphasized the implementation of multicultural education at home and kindergarten. In other words, multicultural education should not only be carried out in the field of education, but also in the homes of children. However, there are still few studies on multicultural education for parents. In this regard, this study highlights the importance of parents on multicultural education by examining the socio-economic status of parents with early childhood children and their actual experiences in multicultural education. This study aims to quantitatively assess collection and circulation data of one small library in an area where multicultural users are concentrated and draw policy implications on improving multicultural services for public libraries. The Ansan Multicultural Small Library was selected for examining the library's collection and circulation usages from 2016 to 2022. The numbers of collection and circulation, collection turnover rates and use factors were calculated by year, language, and KDC subject. The result of this study presents the empirical evidence drawn from users' circulation usage, which can be a basis for leading to valid collection development and multicultural service policies.

인터넷은 다양한 언어로 구성된 정보를 사용자들에게 제공해 준다. 따라서 인터넷 환경상의 정보 다국어화는 앞으로도 점차 가속화될 것으로 보인다. 그러나 각 국가별 지역 코드는 다국어 정보화를 가로막는 하나의 걸림돌이 되고 있다. 본 논문에서는 실사용자(end-user)와 개발자(developer) 환경에서 발생하는 다국어 지원의 문제점에 대해 알아보고, 이를 부산대학교 언어 정보 연구실에서 연구중인 다국어 지원 방법과 연관하여 특히 웹 환경에서 다국어가 동시에 지원될 수 있는 방안에 관해 연구하였다. 한글 환경에서 다국어가 원활히 지원되기 위해서는 유니코드 도입과 함께 다국어 입력 알고리즘이 개발되어야 하며, 이에 따른 다국어 입력 컨트롤 및 라이브러리 개발이 선행되어야 한다. 또한 웹 환경에서도 KS-C-5601 기반이 아닌 Unicode 기반 웹 환경 구축이 진행되어야 할 것이다.

인터넷 보급의 확산 및 네트웍 성능의 향상으로 멀티캐스트 기술을 응용한 서비스가 일대다의 정보 전달 서비스 위주에서 다중 사용자 네트웍 게임 (MUG) 등과 같이 인터넷을 사용한 다자간 상호작용 서비스로 그 응용 서비스 범위를 넓혀가게 되었다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 다자간 상호작용을 지원하기 위한 다대다 멀티캐스트 세션을 위한 신뢰성 있는 멀티 캐스트 프로토콜에서 발생하는 비용을 기술하고, 기존의 일대다 멀티캐스트 세션을 위해 제안된 신뢰성 있는 멀티캐스트 프로토콜들(RMTP, TMTP)과 다대다 멀티캐스트 세션을 위해 제안된 프로토콜들(SRM, Lorax. GAM)에 대 한 시뮬레이션을 통하여 에러 복구 기법의 처리비용을 측정함으로써 다대다 멀티캐스트 세션에 적합한 신뢰성 있는 멀티캐스트프로토콜을 제안한다.

현재 국내에 체류하는 외국인 수가 150만 명에 이르고 있으며 그 수는 꾸준히 증가하고 있다. 이처럼 한국사회가 다문화사회로 진입함에 따라 일선 도서관에서 제공하는 다문화서비스가 중요해졌기 때문에 다문화자료실과 다문화프로그램도 증가하고 있다. 그러나 서비스 제공을 전담하여 전문적으로 제공할 인력은 충분하지 않다. 본 연구에서는 다문화자료실 혹은 다문화프로그램을 운영하는 도서관의 다문화서비스전문사서 현황과 문제점 등을 알아보고 앞으로의 발전 방향을 모색하고자 한다.

농어촌지역의 인구감소로 인한 인력난 해소를 위하여 국가적으로 농·어가당 외국인 고영허용 인원을 확대하고 농가의 경우 계절 근로제도 대상 적용 작물 제한을 없애는 등 인력확보를 위해 노력하고 있다. 외국인 근로자와 국제결혼 증가로 인하여 국내 체류 외국인 수는 지속적으로 증가추세를 보이고 있으며, 코로나 19 이전 2019년 12월 말에 체류 외국인이 252만 명으로 대한민국 전체 인구의 4.9%에 해당하며, 통상 학계에서는 외국인 비율이 5%를 넘으면 다문화사회로 분류한다. 지속적인 외국인 근로자 및 다문화 가구의 증가에 따라 지역사회에서 갈등이 발생하고 있으며, 다문화사회로 분류된 상황에서 외국인 근로자 및 다문화 가구를 지역사회의 일원으로 인식하고 갈등을 적극적으로 해결할 필요가 있다. 이에 본 연구에서는 남해군 미조권역의 사례를 바탕으로 외국인 근로자 및 다문화 가구와 원주민과의 갈등관리를 위한 시설물 및 프로그램 계획, 현안갈등과 잠재적갈등 관리 방안을 제안하여 어촌지역 다문화사회의 발전을 도모할 수 있는 실질적인 연구 수행의 의의가 있다.

Purpose: The purpose of this study was to investigate the correlation and the degree of multicultural perception, cultural competence, and multicultural acceptance of nursing college students. METHODS: The study was analyzed using the SPSS 25.0 program. The correlation among multicultural perception, cultural competence, and multicultural acceptance was analyzed by Pearson's correlation coefficients, and it was analyzed using Multiple Regression to figure out factors influencing multicultural acceptance. RESULTS: Multicultural acceptance was a significant positive correlation with multicultural perception and cultural competence of nursing college students (r = .645, p <.001; r = .556, p <.001). As a result of regression analysis, it was confirmed that multicultural perception (${\beta}=0.479$, p <.001) and cultural competence (${\beta}=0.299$, p <.001) were factors that influence nursing students' multicultural acceptance. Conclusion: Based on the results of this study, it is suggested that nursing students should develop cultural competency as a way to increase multicultural acceptance in a multicultural society. Also, in developing and implementing multicultural education programs, it is necessary to develop multicultural education program content and the policy backing should be supported that promotes multicultural perception and enhances cultural competence.

The purposes of the study are to understand how multicultural awareness and multicultural efficacy is different and to investigate the factors of multicural awareness affecting the multicultural efficacy. To achieve the goals, the study conducted surveys to examine an interrelation of multicural awareness and efficacy on 329 elementary school students in North Jeolla Province with questionnaires. First, the results showed significant differences in the multicultural awareness and efficacy based on all the ground factors. Second, it was found that elementary school students had significant relations in multicultural awareness and efficacy. Third, the multicultural awareness among elementary school students significantly affected their multicultural efficacy. The study suggests that sustaining multicultural education shall be implemented for elementary school students to have right and positive minds and various studies shall be conducted to nurture values in their lives to live together.
