A Theoretical Study of the Public Library Performance Measurement (공공도서관의 성과평가에 관한 이론적 연구)

  • According to the recent survey, it was reported that the public libraries in Korea had seldom conducted the measurement and evaluation of the public library performance. This study, therefore. has investigated the wide range of existing literature on performance measurement and analyzed the different approaches to the problem of measuring public library performance. The performance indicators suggested in this study are 62 indicators and fall into five domains, such as materials, staff resources, user services, facilities, budget and management. Besides, some indicators are suggested to be used in cases where a more detailed examination is required - usually when measuring the performance of an individual library.

  • 본 연구는 기술사업화 역량과 외부기술획득활동이 신제품개발성과에 미치는 영향에 대한 연구이다. 최근의 기술창업기업은 기존 조직 내부의 기술들 이외에 외부의 다양한 기술들을 들여와 기존 기술과 융 복합하여 기술 사업화를 도모하여 치열한 글로벌 경제 환경 속에서 경쟁력을 갖추기 위해 노력하고 있다. 정책적으로도 글로벌 경쟁력과 첨단기술을 갖춘 중소 벤처기업 육성 안이 대거 포함되어 기술기반의 기술창업기업을 창출하고 육성하여 기술사업화를 촉진하고 있다. 이와 더불어 기술사업화의 핵심적 요소로 간주되고 있는 기술사업화역량 및 외부기술획득활동은 여러 측면에서 연구되고 있다. 따라서 현 시점에서 기술기반의 기술창업기업의 창출과 지속적인 성장을 위해 기술사업화 역량과 외부기술획득활동이 신제품개발 성과에 미치는 영향을 검증함으로써 궁극적으로 기술창업기업의 신제품개발성과 향상을 위하여 어떤 노력을 해야 하는가를 규명하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 기술창업기업을 대상으로 자료를 수집, 실증분석을 실시하였다. 본 연구결과는 향후 기술기반의 기술창업 기업의 기술사업화 역량과 외부기술획득활동이 신제품개발성과 향상을 위한 시사점을 제공할 뿐만 아니라 성공적인 기술사업화에 미치는 효과에 대한 연구 확산에도 기여할 수 있을 것이라고 판단된다.

A Study on Interrelationship among Smartwork Supporting Tool, Exploration, Exploitation, and Smartwork Performances (스마트워크 지원도구, 조직 내 탐험 및 활용활동, 스마트워크 성과 간 상호관계 분석)

  • Korean's major firms made a slogan Smart Work as an important business strategy and tried to implement some activities. These Smart trends influenced the way people's working and organization. Based on the actual practices of Korean's major firms, we extract the smart-work supporting tools and practices, exploratory and exploitative activities as the important factors influencing the smart work performances. The statistical result, based upon survey responses, shows that exploratory and exploitative activities are the salient factors for smarkwork level, and that three types of he smart-work supporting tools and practices indirectly influence smarkwork level through exploratory and exploitative activities. As a conclusion, the academic and practical implications of these findings are also discussed.

Proactive Personality, Knowledge Sharing Behavior, Job Characteristics, and Organizational Recognition: An Application of Costly Signaling Theory (주도적 성격과 지식 공유행위, 직무 특성, 그리고 조직의 인정 간 관계에 관한 연구: 비싼 신호보내기 이론을 중심으로)

  • Drawing on costly signaling theory and self-enhancement motive, this study examines the relationships among proactive personality, knowledge sharing behavior, and organizational recognition. In addition to the individual characteristic, this study considers job characteristics as conditional factors, and especially proposes the moderated mediation model in which job complexity and variety moderate the relationships among proactive personality, knowledge sharing behavior, and organizational recognition. To prove these hypotheses, empirical analyses are conducted with 166 dyad samples collected from various industries. As predicted, individuals with high proactive personality are more likely to become involved in knowledge sharing behavior, and this behavior increases organizational recognition rated by their supervisors. Moreover, job complexity and variety moderate the positive relationship between proactive personality and organizational recognition is mediated by knowledge sharing behavior. These results reveal the motive in knowledge sharing and the boundary condition that is necessary to increase such behavior. The study findings will ultimately contribute theoretical and empirical implications to the knowledge management literature.

  • The Balanced Scorecard is known as an integrated performance management framework that helps enterprise to translate strategic objectives into relevant performance measurement within an organization. In recent years, the importance of framework development, implementation and deployment of Balanced Scorecard and Strategic Enterprise Management system have realized its value in public sectors performance management systems. However, the public domains can be characterized as non-profit organizations involving diverse stakeholders which may provoke obstacles to proper implementation. This paper offers an insight into strategic performance management systems design and implementation in Ministry of Information and Communication in Korea. The paper evaluated a number of key guidelines to understand the complexity of strategic performance management design and implementation to be successful in delivering strategic goals in public sector.

Impacts of Contract types on Construction Project Performance - Cost Reimbursable and Lump Sum - (계약방식에 따른 건설프로젝트 성과의 비교분석 연구 - 실비정산방식과 총액계약방식을 중심으로 -)

  • Multiple parties-owners, engineering and construction contractors, and suppliers involve the delivery process of capital facility projects in the construction industry, and each party obtains or provides their workforce, material, equipment, or service tied into specific contracts. Considering that construction projects are based on the contracted relationship between the parties and that contract types are one of the significant factors determining project success. it is critical for project stakeholder to select appropriate contract types for successful deliveries of projects. With these considerations, this paper assesses impacts of different contract types on project cost, schedule, safety, change, or rework. Analyzing data from real construction projects, the differences in project performance between two contract types, Cost Reimbursable and Lump Sum are measured and statistically tested to investigate if the differences are significant. For this analysis, performance metrics developed by Benchmarking and Metrics program, the Construction Industry Institute are used.

Market Performance and Strategy of Program Providers (방송채널사용사업자의 시장 성과와 전략)

  • This study examines the performance of program providers(PP) considering various factors. This study employs the panel regression models with the dataset from 2014 to 2019. This study analyzes how various market structural factors and behavioral factors have impact on the performance. The results show that the high proportion of retransmission fees to broadcasting revenue is negatively associated with total media revenue and operating income while advertising revenue is positively associated with these factors. The results imply PPs that have heavily depended on the fees have not showed a superior performance. Current PP markets are evaluated to have low average revenue per users and thus the size of retransmission fees cannot be enlarged. Under such market conditions, PPs focusing on raising advertising revenue show better performance. This study also suggests that PPs that own diverse channel assets have improved their performances.

  • 비스코스 레이온 소재는 목재 펄프를 원료로 한 재생섬유로서 Drape성과 반발성은 탁월하나, 습식 방사에 따른 분자 구조적 불안정성으로 소비자가 일반 세탁 시 수축발생으로 종종 Dry Cleaning을 해야 하는 문제점들이 있음. 본 연구에서는 이와 같은 레이온의 단점을 극복하고 신축성 발현 및 형태안정성을 부여하기 위해 Rayon DTY사와 Spun T/R 40's를 개발하고 다양한 조직의 환편물을 제작하였으며, 기존의 레이온 제품 대비 수축률 등 형태안정성과 신축특성이 발현될 수 있는 염색가공 공정 조건을 설정하였음. 먼저 전처리시 균일하고 안정적인 수축이 발생하도록 하여 최종 생산품의 형태안정성과 신축성이 유지 될 수 있는 최적의 조건을 설정하였음. 전처리는 저온 축소 후 고온에서 정련하는 공정이 환편물의 조직에 관계없이 우수하였으며, 비교적 견뢰도가 우수하다고 판단되는 시판 분산염료 및 반응성염료를 사용하여 Polyester/Rayon의 2욕 2단 염색을 진행하였음. 또한 시제품의 품위를 높이기 위해 레이온 섬유의 고유한 특성을 부여할 수 있는 유연처방을 사용하여 총 13종의 환편물을 개발할 수 있었으며, 이렇게 개발된 원단은 형태안정성 -2.5~1.0%, 신장회복률 83% 이상, 필링성 4-5급의 결과를 나타내었음.

  • 포도당 대사에서 중심적인 역할을 담당하고 있는 호르몬인 인슐린의 작용기전은 이전에 알려진 것보다 매우 다양하고 복잡한 세포내 신호전달 체계에 의해서 수행된다. 지난 10여년간 이러한 세포 신호전달 흐름내 중간물질인 여러 가지 단백질의 역할에 대해서 많은 연구가 진행되어 적지 않은 성과를 거두고 있다. 근래에는 해당 유전자에 대해 분자생물학적인 조작을 가하여 실험동물 체내에서 이러한 중간 단백질이 발현되지 못하도록 한 후, 각 조직에서의 인슐린 신호전달 체계를 더욱 심도 있게 연구하고 있다. 여러 연구방법 가운데서, 특히 조직 특이적으로 특정 유전자를 제거하여 태어난 개체를 이용하고, 또한 이들을 서로 교배시켜 나타나는 현상을 연구하여 비정상적인 포도당대사를 이해하는데 많은 도움을 받고 있다. 동물종에 따른 대사상의 차이점 등으로 인해 적지 않은 한계를 갖고 있지만, 동물 질환모델은 포도당 대사와 같은 생체 내에서 중요한 작용을 깊게 이해하고 더 나아가서는 비정상적인 대사를 밝히는데 핵심적인 역할을 수행하고 있다. 기초분야의 성과를 활용하는 응용학문인 축산분야에서도 이러한 접근방법과 연구 결과는 시사하는 바가 있을 것이다.

The Moderating effects of Tenure and Achievement needs on the relationship between Job Characteristics and Organizational Citizenship Behavior (직무특성과 조직시민행동간의 관계에 대한 재직기간과 성취욕구의 조절효과에 관한 연구)

  • Organ(1988) has suggested that OCB should be considered an important component of job performance because citizenship behaviors are part of the spontaneous and innovative behaviors. Also it has been suggested that organizational characteristics may potentially explain many organizational behavior outcome variables(Hackman & Oldham, 1980). In recent years there has been a resurgence of interest in the validity of personality measures as a moderator between many variables and organizational outcome variables. This is largely due to the facts that first personality is difficult to control for promoting many organizational outcomes and next many researchers have found the moderating effects of personality(Brief & Aldag, 1975; Wanous, 1974). The purpose of this research is to test the moderating effects of tenure and growth needs on the relationships between organizational characteristics and OCB. To assess the moderating effects, the hierarchical regression procedures outlined by Cohen and Cohen(1983) were followed. On the basis of data from 698 teachers in Wonju province, results indicated that job variety has more impacts than any other independent variable on OCB like other studies. It is found that job variety and job identity have more impacts on courtesy and altruism in lower growth needs group than in higher growth needs group. Also it is resulted that job importance and autonomy have more impacts on sportsmanship in higher growth needs group than in lower growth needs group.
