A New PLL Frequency Synthesizer with Fast Switching Time (고속의 주파수 절환시간을 갖는 주파수 신시사이저)

  • 본문에서 주파수hopping과 이동통신에서 요구되는 고속 주파수 전환이 가능한 새로운 주파수 신시사이저 (Synthesizer)를 제안한다. 종래의 PLL 주파수 신시사이저는 기준 주파수와 출력의 채널 주파수 간격이 동일하기 때문에 기준 주파수를 낮게 하면 매우 긴 동기 시간이 소요된다. 본 논문에서 제안하는 주파수 신시사이저는 새로운 제어 방법을 이용한 다단 펄스 제거 회로를 사용하여 기준 주파수와 채널 간격 주파수를 독립적으로 설정할 수 있기 때문에 종래의 신시사이저와 동일한 채널 간격의 주파수를 유지시키면서 기준 주파수를 높일 수 있고, 또한 루프(loop)이득을 크게 할 수 있다. 따라서 종래의 주파수 신시사이저보다 주파수 절환시간을 크게 단축할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 주파수 절환시간을 1/100 정도 단축시킬 수 있음을 보여주고 있다.

  • This paper proposes a balancing control of DC-link voltages of a H-bridge multilevel inverter for STATCOM application. Individual DC link voltage is controlled by simply adjusting the d-q voltage reference through a PI controller in each cell while the main controller carries out the reactive power control. The correctness and effectiveness of the method are validated by PSIM simulation with unbalanced load condition data taken from a typical arc furnace load, showing the adverse effects of load unbalance to DC link voltage significantly suppressed.

  • 본 연구는 자전거의 속도를 이용하여 자동으로 기어변속을 하는 시스템 개발에 관한 연구이다. 본 논문은 자전거의 기어변속 메커니즘을 활용하여 기어 변속기를 개선함으로써 진행속도에 맞추어 자동으로 기어 변속을 수행하는 시스템의 설계 및 개발에 관하여 서술하였다. 상세하게는 뒷바퀴에 속도 측정장치를 설치하여 회전수에 따라 자전거의 진행하는 속도를 감지하며, 기존 자전거의 변속기에 개발된 전자제어장치를 탑재하여 운행자의 진행속도에 맞추어 자동변속을 구현한다.

  • Movable weirs with multi-stage control are necessary in many Korean rivers to actively control the water storage level. A mesh dependency test was performed to determine the appropriate number of meshes for structural analysis of movable weirs. The standing angles of movable weirs were set to 60°, 45°, 30°, and 15° for stress analysis. The standing angle of 0° was excluded from the analysis because it was unloaded. Changes in the standing angle led to changes in the water depth, maximum pressure, maximum strain, and maximum stress. The maximum average stress and the structural safety of the multi-stage control movable weir were computed and tested using the Ansys FEA software package.

  • It is throwing the spotlight on the cultivation crops about high quality crops and productivity improvement per unit area because of rapid climate change caused by global warming. Therefore, we propose a water culture management of circulation nutrient method control system applies to solar tracking method not using traditional method of deep flow technique and artificial light source. We design it in the form of the circulation nutrient method in waterway of a certain amount of nutrient solution and water flowed into the way of circular. In addition, we design a multistage structure in pyramid shape which be possible continuous photosynthesis action to crops of water culture bottom part. Also, solar tracking method is designed five sensor method of center hole sensor method for tracking shadow of solar light not using traditional two hole, four hole sensor method. Finally, through the water culture device applies to solar light tracking method was not introduced in existing study yet, we can reduce growth speed of crops which be possible continuous photosynthesis action to crops. Moreover, We can expect high productivity of per unit area which be possible all crops can be offered growth environment of same type by using form of pyramid shape of multistage structure without top or bottom part.

A High-Performance Fault-Tolerant Switching Network and Its Fault Diagnosis (고성능 결함감내 스위칭 망과 결함 진단법)

  • In this paper, we present a high-performance fault-tolerant switching networks using a deflection self-routing scheme, and present fault-diagnosis method for the network. We use the facts: 1) Each stage of the Banyan network is arrayed as the sequences of a Cyclic group of SEs. 2) There is the homomorphism between adjacent stages from a view of self-routing, so that all of each Cyclic group is the subgroup of the Cyclic group in the next stage, and there are factor groups due to such subgroup and homomorphism. We provide high-performance fault-tolerant switching networks of which the all links including augmented links are used as the alternate links detouring faulty links. We also present the fault diagnosis scheme for the proposed switching network that provide multiple paths for each input-output pair.

  • COS 조작봉은 선로의 사고나 설비교체 또는 수리 등이 필요할 때 활선상태에서 COS를 개폐하기 위한 장비로서 보통 절연특성 및 강도가 우수하고 경량소재인 FRP(Fiberglass Reinforced Plastics)로 제작된다. 따라서 특고압 선로에서 작업 중 안전사고를 예방하기 위해 사용되는 장비인 만큼 안전거리 확보와 작업의 편리성을 고려하여 직접 조작봉을 연장하여 사용할 수 있도록 다단으로 제작되며, 조작봉의 크기는 작업조건에 따라 길이를 선택하여 사용할 수 있도록 2, 4, 6m급 등 길이에 따른 종류별로 생산되고 있다. 이러한 COS 조작봉의 사용특징은 장소와 시간에 관계없이 사용이 가능해야 하고, 특정한 사정에 의해선 작업자 혼자서 사용할 수 있도록 조작봉과 일체된 조명장치의 필요성이 항상 제기되어 왔던 문제이다. 본 논문에서는 이러한 문제점에 주안을 두고 조작봉과 일체된 전계검출에 의한 발광동작을 제어할 수 있는 발광형 COS 조작봉에 대해 각각의 구성별 요소들을 분석하고자 한다.

A Study on the Lean Combustion Characteristics with Variation of Combustion Parameter in a Gasoline Direct Injection Engine (직접분사식 가솔린 엔진의 연소제어인자에 따른 희박연소 특성 연구)

  • Today gasoline engines for vehicular application are not only faced with stringent emission regulation but also with increasing requirements to better fuel economy, while guaranteeing power density. The spray-guided type gasoline direct injection (GDI) engine has an advantage of improved thermal efficiency and lower harmful emissions. Centrally mounted high pressure injector and adjacent spark plug allow stable lean combustion due to the flexible mixture stratification. In the present study, the performance and emissions characteristics of developed spray-guided type GDI combustion system were evaluated at various excess air ratio conditions. The specific fuel consumption and nitrogen oxides ($NO_x$) emissions were reduced due to the achievement of stable lean combustion under flammability limit. Multiple injection strategy was not helpful to improve fuel consumption while further reduction of $NO_x$ emissions was possible.

  • A static synchronous compensator (STATCOM) applied to rapidly changing, highly unbalanced loads such as electric arc furnaces (EAFs), requires both positive-sequence and negative-sequence current control, which indicates fast response characteristics and can be controlled independently. Furthermore, a delta-connected STATCOM with cascaded H-bridge configuration accompanying multiple separate DC-sides, should have high performance zero-sequence current control to suppress a phase-to-phase imbalance in DC-side voltages when compensating for unbalanced load. In this paper, actual EAF data is analyzed to reflect on the design of current controllers and a pioneering zero-sequence current controller with a superb transient performance is devised, which generates an imaginary -axis component from the presumed response of forwarded reference. Via simulation and experiments, the performance of the positive, negative, and zero-sequence current control of a cascaded H-bridge STATCOM for EAF is verified.

Oxidation Behavior of STS Series at High -Temperature/Stagnation/Oxidizer-Rich Environment (고온/정체/산화제 과잉 환경에서 STS 계열의 산화 거동)

  • Metal exposed to high temperature/high pressure/oxidizer-rich environment may cause rapid oxidation(ignition and combustion). In this study, a DC power supply test system that controls the temperature of specimen by supplying power to the specimen was constructed and after simulating the high temperature/stagnation/oxidizer-rich environment, the metal oxidation and ignition of STS series metal materials were evaluated. As a result, we was confirmed that the deformation (discoloration) of the selected material, the change in the surface roughness and the peeling of the metal surface were observed, and that the weight and the specimen thickness were changed. The most oxidized specimen was STS 304 and the less oxidized specimen was XM-19.
