An Optimum-adaptive Intrusion Detection System Using a Mobile Code (모바일 코드를 이용한 최적적응 침입탐지시스템)

  • A damage scale of information property has been increasing rapidly by various illegal actions of information systems, which result from dysfunction of a knowledge society. Reinforcement in criminal investigation requests of network security has accelerated research and development of Intrusion Detection Systems(IDSs), which report intrusion-detection about these illegal actions. Due to limited designs of early IDSs, it is hard for the IDSs to cope with tricks to go around IDS as well as false-positive and false-negative trials in various network environments. In this paper, we showed that this kind of problems can be solved by using a Virtual Protocol Stack(VPS) that possesses automatic learning ability through an optimum-adaptive mobile code. Therefore, the enhanced IDS adapts dynamically to various network environments in consideration of monitored and self-learned network status. Moreover, it is shown that Insertion/Evasion attacks can be actively detected. Finally, we discussed that this method can be expanded to an intrusion detection technique that possesses adaptability in the various mixed network environments.

  • As the network composed of numerous sensor nodes, sensor network conducts the function of sensing the surrounding information by sensor and of the sensed information. Our military has also developed ICT(Information and Communication Technology) along with the methods for effective war by sharing smooth information of battlefield resources through network with each object. In this paper, a sensor network is clustered in advance and a cluster header (CH) is elected for clusters. Before deployment, a certificate is provided between the BS and the sensor nodes, and after clustering, authentication is done between the BS and the sensor nodes. Moreover, inter-CH authentication technique is used to allow active response to destruction or replacement of sensor nodes. Also, because authentication is done twice, higher level of security can be provided.

  • The insistence of rights and interests in contract is being generalized by opening in construction market which is following F.T.A, internationally. Conditions of contract in construction have different specialities compared with other industries. Different conditions of contract should be established because of a specific character that is different from each construction, such as work, environment, circumference conditions. Although the order of Turn-key is being expanded by increasing construction scale and demanding hybrid function, the suitable regulations of contract are not settled. As a result, various factors of claim is occurring in Change Order-Claim, because they just obey a part of guide-line. This study suggests useful solutions in detail concerned with the main factor of Change Order-Claim by each D/B phases through practical sorting and analysis of the causes of Change Order-Claim.

Development of an Evaluation Index for Identifying Freeway Traffic Safety Based on Integrating RWIS and VDS Data (기상 및 교통 자료를 이용한 교통류 안전성 판단 지표 개발)

  • This study proposes a novel performance measure, which is referred to as Hazardous Spacing Index (HSI), to be used for evaluating safety of traffic stream on freeways. The basic principle of the proposed methodology is to investigate whether drivers would have sufficient stopping sight distance (SSD) under limited visibility conditions to eliminate rear-end crash potentials at every time step. Both Road Weather Information Systems (RWIS) and Vehicle Detection Systems (VDS) data were used to derive visibility distance (VD) and SSD, respectively. Moreover, the K-Nearest Neighbors (KNN) method was adopted to predict both VD and SSD in estimating predictive HSIs, which would be used to trigger advanced warning information to encourage safer driving. The outcome of this study is also expected to be used for monitoring freeway traffic stream in terms of safety.

Quality Control to Improve Reliability of Automatic Water Quality Data (수질자동측정망 자료의 신뢰성 제고를 위한 정도관리)

  • The automatic water quality monitoring system (AWQMS) have been installed to immediately response to any pollution incident. It also make it possible to conduct the task efficiently regarding water quality control. The purpose of this study is to enhance reliability by securing accuracy of automatic water quality data through quality assessment (QA) for temperature, pH, dissolved oxygen (DO), electric conductivity (EC), total organic carbon (TOC). The result of comparison between manual and automatic data, relative accuracy of general items (temperature, pH, EC, DO) and TOC were mostly satisfied with guideline (i.e. less than 20%). On the other hand, relative accuracy of DO between sampling site and housing site was somewhat against the guideline. The contamination by attaching algae and microorganism in the pipeline is considered as main cause. After backwashing the pipeline, DO concentration was increased up to 53%. Therefore, pipeline management is recognizable as important thing to secure reliability of water quality data.

  • The government has made a lot of efforts to realize 'low-carbon green growth', one of the national policy agendas, throughout the whole industries. The construction sector is not an exception, and technological developments are active to reduce energy consumption and greenhouse gas emission. In particular, buildings occupy more than 20% of the total national energy consumptions. Thus, it can be said that increasing energy efficiency of the residential buildings and reducing CO2 emission are the urgent national agenda. Moreover, as ordinary people find it more and more difficult to get a lease on housing, which has become an important social issue recently, a housing production system that can actively respond to market demands is in urgent need. To build an eco-friendly system that can maximize efficiency in construction, this study attempts to examine and analyze the modular housing production system in the county and to find its problems. By suggesting the ways to improve the system, it aims to prepare for the base to revitalize the unit modular housing production system.

  • The user valence of VoIP services with SIP protocol is increasing rapidly because of cheap communication cost and its conveniency. But attacker can easily modify the packet contents of SIP protocol as SIP header is transmitted by using UDP methods in text form. The reason is that SIP protocols does not provide an authentication function on the transmission session. Therefore, existing SIP protocol is very weak on SIP Packet Flooding attack etc. In order to solve like this kinds of SIP vulnerabilities, we used SIP status codes under the monitoring module for detecting SIP Flooding attacks and additionally proposed an advanced protocol where the authentication and security function is strengthened about SIP packet. We managed SIP session spontaneously in order to strengthen security with SIP authentication function and to solve the vulnerability of SIP protocol. The proposed mechanism can securely send SIP packet to solves the security vulnerability with minimum traffic transmission. Also service delay in SIP proxy servers will be minimized to solve the overload problem on SIP proxy server.

  • To lunch the Korea Space Launch Vehicle-II(KSLV-II), the second launch complex will be constructed on the Naro Space Center and Kerosene Filling System (KFS) will be also installed newly. KFS of KSLV-II launch complex system is being designed based on Naro Launch Complex. But this must supply fuel to fuel tanks of the vehicle with only a supply pump because KSLV-II is a 3-stage launch vehicle unlike Naro Launch Vehicle or Test Launch Vehicle (TLV). A sudden rise of pump output pressure is recognized during fuel filling scenario selection process. This occurs because return flow can not actively deal with a lot of flow change using flow control method of orifice type. To solve this problem, it is verified that fuel can be stably supplied by installation of accumulator and an appropriate adjustment of filling mode change sequence through flow analysis of various cases.

An Empirical Study on the Export Competitiveness of Korean Automobiles in the Local Chinese Market (한국 자동차의 대중국 수출경쟁력에 관한 연구 - RCA, CAC, ESI 지수 비교를 중심으로)

  • This study aims at analysing the export competitiveness of the six largest countries which have the highest market share in world automobile market, namely Japan, USA, China, Germany, South Korea and France for the last seven years between 2000 and 2006 in Chinese automobile market by using revealed comparative advantage index(RCA), comparative advantage index by country (CAC) and exporting similarity index(ESI). On analysis of the RCA index, it showed that the export competitiveness of Korean automobile in the world market was high following Japan and Germany, but it ranked the lowest competitiveness among the six trade competitors in Chinese automobile market. In other side, it is also made sure that the formidable competitors of Korean automobile export in global market are Germany and Japan. Therefore, South Korea needs to raise its ability to adjust to improvement of the international competitiveness in exports through close cooperation between government and automobile export enterprise and consistent monitoring about Chinese automobile industry and market.
