  • 매실나무겨우살이 막걸리의 생리적 효능을 검정하여 의약 화장품의 소재화 가능성을 검토할 목적으로 발효기간과 겨우살이 함량에 따른 총 폴리페놀, 플라보노이드 함량, DPPH free radical 소거능을 측정하였고, tyrosinase 저해활성은 5분 간격으로 65분간 측정하였다. 막걸리는 백미와 기장을 7:3의 비율로, 겨우살이의 함량을 0%, 5%, 10%로 달리하여 10일 간격으로 최대 30일까지 Shaking incubator($30{\sim}35^{\circ}C$, 100 rpm)에서 발효하였고, 발효가 끝난 막걸리는 80 mesh 망으로 여과하였다. 총 폴리페놀 함량은 10일에 최대치를 나타내었고, 0%는 $633.53{\mu}g/ml$, 5%는 $759.67{\mu}g/ml$, 10%는 $752.2{\mu}g/ml$을 나타내었다. 기간이 경과함에 따라 감소하는 경향이었으며 30일에 0%는 $507.57{\mu}g/ml$, 5%는 $570.13{\mu}g/ml$, 10%는 $551{\mu}g/ml$를 함유하고 있는 것으로 나타났다. 총 플라보노이드 함량 또한 10일에 최대치를 나타내었고, 0%는 $16.18{\mu}g/ml$, 5%는 $63.87{\mu}g/ml$, 10%는 $62.99{\mu}g/ml$였고, 기간이 경과함에 따라 감소하는 경향성을 나타내어 30일에 0%는 $0.59{\mu}g/ml$, 5%는 $10.98{\mu}g/ml$, 10%는 $1.18{\mu}g/ml$를 함유하였다. DPPH free radical 소거능은 0%의 경우 10일에 72.34%로 최대치가 나타났고, 30일에 58.61%로 가장 낮은 소거능을 보여주어 기간이 경과함에 따라 감소하는 경향성을 보여주었다. 하지만, 겨우살이 첨가군인 5%(10일:91.13%, 20일:91.09%)와 10%(10일:91%, 20일:90.8%)는 비교적 차이가 없었고, 발효기간이 30일이 경과한 후 5%는 93.46%, 10%는 92.3%로 최대값을 보여주었다. Tyrosinase 저해활성은 DPPH free radical 소거능이 가장 좋은 30일 발효 막걸리를 측정하였다. 모든 겨우살이 첨가군에서 5분이 경과하였을 때, 0%는 82.68%, 5%는 69.29%, 10%는 79.53%의 저해활성을 나타내었으며, 시간에 유의적으로 저해활성이 감소하였다. 본 연구 결과에 따르면, 겨우살이 막걸리의 총 폴리페놀과 플라보노이드 함량은 기간이 경과함에 따라 감소함에도 불구하고, DPPH free radical 소거능은 증가함을 알 수 있었다. Tyrosinase 저해활성은 5% 첨가 막걸리에서 가장 낮았으며, 겨우살이를 첨가하지 않은 0%에서 가장 저해활성이 높고 오랜시간 유지되는 것을 확인할 수 있었다.

  • The income and price elasticities of the timber demand for the 27 years (1953~79) in Korea were analyzed by the 3 economic growth stages - in 1953~61, in 1962~71, in 1972~79-. The results obtained are as follows : 1. In 1953~79, the income and price elasticities of the total timber demand were respectively 1.87 and -0.47 ; those of the domestic timber demand were respectively 0.09 and -0.30 ; those of the foreign timber demand were respectively 2.50 and -0.11. 2. In 1953~61, the income and price elasticities of the total timber demand were respectively 2.11 and -0.86 ; those of the domestic timber demand were respectively -2.94 and -0.57 ; those of the foreign timber demand were respectively 1.20 and 0.43. 3. In 1962~71, the income and price elasticities of the total timber demand were respectively 2.89 and -0.20 ; those of the domestic timber demand were respectively 1.38 and -0.25 ; those of the foreign timber demand were respectively 3.54 and -0.42. 4. In 1972~79, the income and price elasticities of the total timber demand were respectively 1.07 and 0.17 ; those of the domestic timber demand were respectively 1.12 and 0.12 ; those of the foreign timber demand were respectively 1.22 and 0.17.

Studies on Growth Stimulation of Lactic Starter (유산균(乳酸菌) Starter의 생육촉진(生育促進)에 관(關)한 연구(硏究))

  • This experiment was carried out to stimulate lactic starter culture for yoghurt manufacturing. A each of 1.5% of Bios 2000, CR starter medium, and Yeast extract were added to bulk medium, acidity, pH and changes in the number of lactic acid bacteria were investigated at, intervals of two hours for Lactobacillus bulgaricus and four hours for Streptococus thermophilus and Lactobacillus casei. The results obtained were summarized as follows. 1. The acidity of control arrived at 0.99% after 16 hours of incubation during the incubation of Lactobacillus bulgaricus. Whereas that of CR starter medium reached 1.00% at 12 hours of incubation. Yeast extract, 1.12% at 12 hours, and Bios 2000 reached 0.97% at 10 hours respectively, Thus, Bios 2000 showed the fastest rate of acid production. 2. When the acidity of experiment medium peaked on optimum levels. pH of control was 4.03 in 16 hours of incubation during the incubation of Lactobacillus bulgaricus. Whereas that of Bios 2000 reached 4.10 of Yeast extract reached 3.97 at 12 hours, and of CR starter medium reached 4.05 at 12 hours. 3. Lactic acid bacterial counts were $3.1{\times}10^{10}/ml$ after 16 hours of incubation during the incubation of lactobacillus bulgaricus, Whereas those of Bios 2000 reached $2.1{\times}10^{10}/ml$ at 10 hours, with the fastest stimulation of growth, The counts in CR starter medium were at $2.9{\times}10^{10}/ml$ at 12 hours, and Yeast extract were $3.8{\times}10^{10}/ml$ at 12 hours. 4. The acidity of control, CR starter medium, and Yeast extract reached 0.92% at 44 hours, and 0.96% at 32 hours, and 0.90% at 32 hours respectively, Also, that of Bios 2,000 reached 0.97% at 32 hours, which exhibited the highest, among the treatments. 5. The pH of control was 4.27 at 44 hours. that of CR starter medium was 4.33 at 40 hours and that of Yeast extract was 4.25 at 32 hours during the incubation in Streptococcus thermophilus. Besides, pH of Bios 2000 is lowest as 4.18 at 32 hours. 6. Lactic acid bacterial counts in control, CR starter medium, and Yeast extract during the incubation of Streptococcus thermophilus were $9.8{\times}10^{9}/ml$ at 44 hours,$9.5{\times}10^{8}/ml$ at 40 hours, and $9.6{\times}10^{8}/ml$ at 32 hours. And, the highest number was $2.0{\times}10^{9}/ml$ for Bios 2000 at 32 hours. 7. The acidity of control during the incubation of Lactobacillus casei reached 0.92% at 40 hours, and those of CR starter medium and Yeast extract were 0.95% at 40 hours, and 1.01% at 36 hours respectively. Also, Bios 2000 had the highest acidity as 0.94% at 32 hours. 8. The pH of control, CR starter medium and Yeast extract during the incubation Lactobacillus casei was 4.27 at 40 hours. 4.21 at 40 hours, and 4.15 at 36 hours respectively. Also, Bios 2000 showed the lowest pH, as 4.23, at 32 hours. 9. Lactic acid bacterial counts in control, CR starter medium and Yeast extract during the incubation of Lactobacillus casei were $9.4{\times}10^{7}/ml$ at 40 hours, $1.1{\times}10^{8}/ml$ at 40 hours, and $5.0{\times}10^{8}/ml$ at 36 hours respectively. And, the progress of 32 hours showed the highest number of lactic acid bacteria as$6.4{\times}10^{8}/ml$ in Bios 2000.

The Current State of Lens Care in Contact Lens Wearer (콘택트렌즈 착용에 따른 사용자 실태조사)

  • The Hydroxyethyl methacrylate(HEMA) was developped in 1960's and later the use of contact lenses increased. At present more and more people use RGP contact lenses. Due to the wide range of optical corrections available and due to their high oxygen transmission Japanese and Korean people like them. Nevertheless one of nine CL users(beginners) stopped wearing the CL within the first year. We conducted a survey to evaluate the level of patient compliance in lens care and maintenance and to assess practitioner knowledge of contact lens information. Generally 6% of contact lens wearers drop out per year. The aim of this research was to find out what opticians can do to reduce the drop-out rate by getting information on handling, on general data of the patient and on optical prescription. Lens wearer were asked to complete a 10 question survey that focused on lens care-wear modality, lens replacement, storage, symptoms and case disinfection. There were total 180 participants in the study. Most of contact lens wearers have an inadequate understanding of contact lens care system. Therefore, it is important that contact lens specialists place more emphasis on practitioner education about general contact lens fields and reinforce patient education during the dispensing visit.

  • 닭의 혈액상에 관한 발표는 많으나 아직 우리나라에서의 보고는 거의 없다. 이에 산난능력이 우수한 닭과 병계에 대한 앞으로의 혈액학적 연구를 위한 기초적자료를 얻고저 임상적으로 건강한 소위 한국 재내종(LCH)과 백색레그혼 (WLH)암탉의 정상 혈액학치 즉 적혈구, 백혈구, 혈색소, 헤마토크리프. 평균적혈구 용적, 평균 적혈구 혈색소량. 평균 적혈구 혈색소 농도 등을 조사하였다. 1 R.B.C.는 L.C.H.에서 3.18$\pm$0.10million per c$\mu$. mm였으며 W.L.H.는 3.23$\pm$0.05였다. 2. W.B.C.는 L.C.H에서 42.17$\pm$3.35, thousand per. c$\mu$mm였으며 W.L.H.는 35.64$\pm$2.89였다. 3. Hemoglobin치는 L.C.H.에서 11.24$\pm$0.30gm per 100$m\ell$였으며 WL.H.는 38.40$\pm$0.75였다. 4. Hematocrit치는 L.C.H.에서 34.00$\pm$0,98 percent였으며, W.L.H.는 33.40$\pm$0.75였다. 5. M.C.V.는 L.C.H에서 103.66$\pm$1.22 c$\mu$ 였으며, W.L.H.는 103.32$\pm$1.28이였다. 6. M.C.H,는 C.L.H.에서 34.19$\pm$0.41 $\mu$ $\mu\textrm{g}$9였으며. W.L.H,는 34.37$\pm$0.31이었다. 7. M.C.H.C는 L.C.H.에서 33.09$\pm$0.22 percent였으며, W.L.H.는 33.25$\pm$0.36 0.36이었다. (중략)

수도권 거주 중.고등학생의 점심식사 유헝별 만족도 조사

  • 중ㆍ고등학생의 점심식사가 학교급식의 형태로 점차 전환되고 있는 실정에서 수도권에 거주하는 중ㆍ고등학생을 대상으로 점심식사 유형에 따른 만족도를 조사하여 학생들의 만족도를 증가시킬 수 있는 점심식사를 제공하는 방안을 모색하고자 하였다. 수도권 거주 중ㆍ고등학생의 경우 응답자의 54.2%가 학교 급식을 하였으며, 37.4%가 도시락을 싸오고, 3.7%는 도시락 전문점, 1.6%는 학교 식당, 1.1%는 학교 밖 식당을 이용하였으며, 1.1%는 기타, 1.1%는 먹지 않는다고 조사되었다. (중략)

Effect of KIM-112 Application on Internode Elongation and Lodging Characteristics in Paddy Rice (KIM-112 처리(處理)가 수도의(水稻) 절간신장(節間伸長), 도복(倒伏) 및 수량(收量)에 미치는 영향(影響))

  • This study is conducted to evaluate the effect of KIM-112 (Ca-3, 5-diode-4-propyonly-cyclohexane-1-carboxylate) application at 13, 8 and 3 days before heading for the possibility of lodging prevention, growing pattern of several organisms, growth and yield in paddy rice. KIM-112 was the most effective in reducing elongation of the third internode when it was applied at 13 days before heading(13DBH) and the second internode when it was applied at 8DBH and 3. KIM-112 gradually inhibited internode elongation of rice with increase in dosage starting from 1.0ga.i./10a. The culm length shortened by 7-17% at 3DBH. The maximum distribution of leaf blade at canopy structure was positioned higher on KIM-112 application than on untreated. Lodging index decreased by 8-47% on KIM-112 application and field lodging degree(0-5) was 5 at untreated but KIM-112 application was only 1.3-2.0 of 3 DBH and was little lodging of 8-13 DBH. Ripened grain ratio of KIM-112 application were higher than those of untreated. Yield increased by 27-37% at KIM-112 application.

  • The extraction curve of metal ions with Amberite LAl-chloroform has been found to be more steeper than with Amberite LAl-xylene or hexane, and the extraction ratio of Zn (II) in 2M HCl solution is 98%. The extraction ratio of As (III) in 9~11M HCl soln., Sb (III) in 2~4M HCl soln., and Fe (III) in 6~10M HCl soln. are 100%. The separated elements from Bi metal were determined by colorimetry, Zn (III) with dithizone, As (III) with Gutzeit method, Sb (III) with brilliant green and Fe (III) with thiocyanate.
