  • 1. 서론 : 발효조를 통해서 생성되는 유기산은 주로 아세트산과 프로피온산으로 나타나는데 이는 배양액중에 2-3% 정도로 희석되어 있다. 이러한 유기산을 선택적으로 분리하여 농축시켜야만 제설제로 사용되는 유기산 염을 제조하는 공정에 적용할 수 있다. 일반적으로 유기산은 석유화합물로부터 얻어지는 것을 사용하여 왔는데 발효조를 통하여 얻어지는 유기산을 이용하는 경우 자원의 재활용을 통하여 얻어지는 생성물을 이용한다는 측면외에도 에너지를 절약할 수 있는 장점을 가질 수 있어서 에너지환경적인 측면에서 기대되는 공정이다. (생략)

  • For the use of sea mustard in snack food as the supplement of minerals and nutrients, three types of product like sweet jelly, jam and candy were prepared adding fresh sea mustard homogenates, dried sea mustard powder and sea mustard extract, respectively. That were prepared by four different ways, cold water extract, hot water extract, $1\%$ NaOH extract and $95\%$ ethanol extract. The extract contains plenty of particulary iodine and calcium in hot water extract and other nutrients. Judging by sensory evaluation, color, flavor and taste of jam, sweet jelly and candy added with sea mustard, products were satisfactory to attractive snack food for children and these could be useful as the source of minerals and nutrients.

  • 미국의회 조사국(CRS)은 지난해에 ${\ulcorner}$경수로에서의 plutonium이용 경제성${\lrcorner}$이라고 보고서를 발표했다. 이 보고서의 목적은 미국에서 농축한 사용후핵연료에서 회수한 플루토늄을 경수로에서 재사용토록 하는 계획이 유럽 및 일본에 있으며, 그 허가 발급에는 핵불확산 문제가 야기되므로 리사이클은 경제적으로 꼭 필요할 때까지는 실시해서는 안된다고 반대하는 사람들을 배경으로 플루토늄의 경수로이용에 관한 경제성을 평가하는데 있다. 평가는 다음의 세가지 경우에 대하여 실시되었다.

  • The anaerobic continuous reactor, which was filled with a sludge of anaerobic digestion from Sooyoung sewage treatment plant, was supplied with synthetic wastewater of various concentration. After changing to substrate concentration, 디 1is research indicated that attached biomass was kept constant after attachment 23 days. In SEM photographs. shape and structure of biofilm could be observed, but bacteria species and methanogens were not identified. A large number of methanogenic bacteria were showed on the surface of PE substratum by fluorescence under 480nm of radiation.

Effects of Astringent Persimmon Paste on Quality Properties of Injeolmi (떫은감 농축액을 첨가한 인절미의 품질 특성)

  • The purpose of this study was to find the optimum addition amount of astringent persimmon paste to glutinous rice flour in the preparation of Gaminjeolmi (persimmon glutinous rice cake). The moisture contents of Gaminjeolmi with added astringent persimmon paste were 57$\∼$59$ \% $. With increasing addition of astringent persimmon paste, the L- and b-value were decreased. The a-value was the highest at the 8$\%$ level. In the mechanical evaluation of Gaminjeolmi, the hardness was the highest in the 0$\%$ astringent persimmon paste-lnjeolmi but the 0$\%$ level was decomposed after 2 day of storage. The adhesiveness and cohesiveness were the lowest at the 0$\%$ and 16$\%$ levels. The springiness did not differ significantly with the addition of astringent persimmon paste for 2 days of storage. The gumminess was the highest at the 0$\%$ level for 1 day of storage, significantly. In the sensory evaluation of Gaminjeolmi, the acceptance of the softness characteristics was the best at the 8$\%$ level. Addition of astringent persimmon paste improve preservation of Injeolmi and the addition of 8$\%$ of astringent persimmon paste to glutinous rice flour was found to be the best recipe in terms of the sensory qualities of softness and overall acceptability.

  • Membrane backwashing waste shows seasonally different characteristics and it has bad settleability differently from general backwashing waste in water treatment plant. When chemicals was injected to membrane backwashing waste, the settleability was better than chemicals was not injected. However, when settled lower sludge was not discharged, flowing sludge continuously was concentrated over a certain surface and floatation penomena occurred according to flowing velocity. When the lower sludge was discharged continuously in the thickener to prevent floatation penomena of turbidity materials, the depth of sludge surface was the least and the settleability increased.

  • 현재 국내에서 생산되는 에탄올은 원료나 연료용으로 사용되는 합성알콜과 주류의 원료로 사용되는 발효알콜이 대부분을 차지하고 있다. 그러나 휘발유 첨가제, 연료용 알콜의 수요가 늘어날 경우 발효공정을 이용한 에탄올 연료의 사용이 늘어날 전망이며 특히 기존의 휘발유 첨가제 중 옥탄가 향상을 위한 MTBE 대신 에탄올, ETBE의 사용이 환경적인 측면이나 경제적으로 유리하다. 연로나 첨가제로서 에탄올을 사용하기 위해서는 기존의 95%의 순도를 갖는 일반에탄ㅇ올 대신에 99.5wt%이상의 고순도 에탄올을 생산하여야 하며 에탄올 농축공정 중의 하나인 Pervaporation은 국내에서 1-2년 전부터 연구가 활발히 진행되고 있으나 현재 국내에서 진행되고 있는 Pervaporation Test는 대부분 합성알콜을 이용하여 수행되었다. 이 실험에서는 주정공장에서 제조한 주정과 조주정을 이용, 현장 Pilot Test를 통해 PV System의 성능 검증, 에탄올 내 Trace 물질파악 및 필요 막면적을 이용하여 합성알콜과의 Performance비교를 수행하였다.

  • A cell sedimentaion system was designed and employed for the high culture of hydridoma. An upward divering cell settler allowed a good sedimentation of hybridoma but the accumulation of cell mass on the settler's wall side was a potential prolem. Although a cyinderical cell settler was useful to solve this problem, this device was employable only at low dilytion rate. A modified cell settler could support the high density culture of hybridoma at a concentration of $5{\times}10^6$ cell/ ml during 1 week, producting 380mg of monclonal antibody.

  • This study was to investigate physicochemical and sensory evaluation properties of chicken jerky with pear, pineapple and kiwi extracts. Moisture content range was $25.87{\sim}27.55%$, and crude protein and crude fat turned out to satisfy the jerky standard. Degree of saline was $5.34{\sim}5.44%$, and that value showed lower level of T-1, T-2 and T-3 sample than C-1. The pH levels of the samples with fruit extracts were low, and, as the storage period was extended, they increased. The initial level of water activation was $0.732{\sim}0.756%$, which proved significant in the storage period(p<0.01). Hardness value of jerky products was $45.25{\sim}49.66{\times}10^5dyne/cm^2$, and the kiwi extract added jerky samples showed the lowest. Strength value range was $89.37{\sim}108.16{\times}10^5dyne/cm^2$, and the S-1 was the highest. It has significance between contrasting groups and comparing ones and among the storage periods(p<0.01). The color value of early jerky products showed 4.80, the highest, and the shape and the texture showed above 4.50, and the flavor was above 4.30, which became lower as the storage periods at normal temperature were extended.

  • So many nationwide drinking water treatment plants are under much difficulties by new reinforced discharged effluent standards. Generally, the sludge at thickener should be retended for a long time during usual days. Sometime, the soluble manganese and chloroform may be formed under the anaerobic condition in the sludge thickener when the sludge retention time is longer with low turbidity. This phenomenon results in difficulties to keep regulatory level of the discharged effluent. It was necessary to improve the operation conditions and process itself in order to meet water quality standard recently reinforced. For an effort to overcome the problems, a sludge aeration was successfully implemented into the thickening process. Sludge aeration prevent particle oxidated Manganese eluting soluble de-oxidated Manganese, excrete formated Chloroform from effluent to air, and improve sludge settling through homogenized sludge particle. We aerated sludge at the conventional water treatment plant, measured Manganese and Chloroform of clarified water at upper sludge, and solid-fluid interface height of sludge in mass cylinder. As a result, contaminant's concentrations of the final effluent was much decreased : 41% of manganese, approximately 62% of chloroform and 35% of sludge volume, compared with non-aeration sludge.
