Breeding a new variety of white Hypsizygus marmoreus 'Baekmaru' with excellent cultivation stability and storability (재배적 안정성과 저장성이 우수한 백색 느티만가닥버섯 신품종 '백마루' 육성)

  • The purpose of this study was to breed a variety of stable productivity and high storage characteristics of white Hypsizygus marmoreus, which has high demand at domestic and global market due to a low bitter taste and the preference for white species. Accordingly, 'Baekmaru' was bred by hybridizing brown and white cap color species and backcrossing with white species. The 'Baekmaru' variety was bred by crossbreeding the brown and white species and backcrossing the white species. Through repeated cultivation of 'Baekmaru', a variety with a low contamination rate was selected when culturing the spawn for stable cultivation. As a results of demonstration test, the yield of 'Baekmaru' was 14% higher than that of the commercial variety. In addition, among the fruiting body characteristics of 'Baekmaru', diameter and thickness of the pileus were 16.43±15.27mm and 6.46±0.58mm, which were slightly higher than the commercial variety, and the hardness was 2.69±0.89N for the pileus and 3.09±0.89N for the stipe. The shelf life showed less change in thickness and color of pileus compared to commercial variety. The hardness of pileus of 'Baekmaru' was maintained in the range of 3.5 to 4.0N in the 4℃ and 4℃ and 20℃ mixed treatment until 30 days of storage, and was higher than that of the commercial variety. Therefore, it was suggested to be excellent in storability.

  • 2018년 5월 전라북도 남원군에서 재배하여 수확 후 $0^{\circ}C$ 저장고에서 예냉을 마친 산마늘을 사용하였으며 외 포장 상자는 골판지로 구성된 통기공이 없는 골판지상자 1kg용을 사용하였다. 골판지상자와 함께 내부 포장으로 사용하기 위한 내포장 필름은 $20{\mu}m$ 두께의 HDPE으로 된 필름 봉지, 흡습종이는 파라핀왁스 코팅 종이($32{\times}35cm$, 태영산업)를 이용하여 조합 처리하고 국내에서 개발한 기능성 필름2종으로 포장처리는 총 4가지로 (1) PE(관행) (2) PE+흡습지 (3) 기능성필름1($30{\times}58cm$, 기능성물질 1%+40,000OTR, 제조사: 신영산업사) (4) 기능성필름2($30{\times}58cm$, Key fresh, 제조사: 씨앤케이프로팩(주)) 각 처리당 1kg 씩의 산마늘 잎을 포장하였다. 실험은 포장 처리 후 상온상태로 전북 완주군 실험실까지 수송하였으며 실험실 도착 후 상온 실험실에 두고 2일과 6일 후 중량감소율, 색도, 엽록소, 손실률 및 종합선도 등 품질특성 변화를 조사하였고 각 포장방법별 온도와 상대습도 변화를 보기 위하여 산마늘 잎이 포장된 상자 내부 중앙 부분에 디지털온습도기록계(SP-2000-20R)를 고정한 후 측정하였다. 대조구로 사용한 PE필름 단용으로 포장한 산마늘 잎은 상온저장 6일 경과 후 중량 소율이 1.7%, PE필름+신선지 처리는 1.0%, 기능성필름1과 기능성필름2는 거의 중량감소가 없어 1% 미만의 변화를 보였다. 산마늘 잎의 SPAD 값에 의한 엽록소 수치와 색도를 측정한 명도($L^*$)와 Hue angle 값의 변화는 기능성필름1과 기능성필름2가 유사하게 높게 유지되었고 반면에 PE필름은 저장 2일 후 부터 값이 감소하기 시작하여 6일 후 크게 감소하였다. 저장 6일 후 기능성필름1과 기능성필름2가 외관품위에서 높은 평가를 받아 상품성을 유지하고 있었으나 PE필름 처리와 PE필름+흡습지 처리는 상품성을 상실한 상태였다. 이러한 경향은 건전율에 있어서도 유사하였으며 기능성필름1(다공성 나노 물질이 혼입되어 있으며 산소투과율을 $40,000cc/m2{\cdot}day{\cdot}atm$으로 조성한 필름)이 상온저장 6일 후 상품성을 유지하는 건전율이 83%로 가장 높았다.

Dietary factors affecting bone mineral density in Korean rural postmenopausal women (농촌지역 폐경후 여성의 골밀도 변화에 영향을 미치는 식이 요인 연구)

  • This study was conducted to investigate dietary factors, bone status, and bone loss in postmenopausal women in rural areas. A total of 189 women participated in the follow-up study after two years. Radius, Tibia, and Phalanx SOS (Speed of Sound) was measured on two occasions 2 years apart by ultra-sonic-metry, and % body fat was measured by bioelectrical impedance analysis at the baseline and after 2years. Dietary intake data were collected 4 times at different season by 24-hour recall method, and then calculated as average. Bone density of radius decreased by 4.2% during the two year period. When the subjects were divided into three groups, by bone decline level during two years, the lowest bone loss group had higher potassium and vegetable intake than other groups. Age and calcium intakes showed significant correlation with bone decline rate at tibia. In multiple regressions, the baseline SOS, vitamin A, vegetables and eggs intakes were found to be significant factors for tibia bone decline. In conclusion, dietary factors, such as higher vegetable intake, seem to affect the changes in bone mineral density in more favorable way. Therefore, efforts are needed to enhance the access to nutritional care for rural elderly postmenopausal women.

Comparison of MODIS and VIIRS NDVI Characteristics on Corn and Soybean Cultivation Areas in Illinois (일리노이주 옥수수, 콩 재배지 MODIS와 VIIRS NDVI 특성 비교)

  • We analyzed the potential for joint utilization of Visible Infrared Imaging Radiometer Suite (VIIRS) satellite imagery Normalized Difference Vegetation Index (NDVI) in crop assessment, considering the aging of MODerate resolution Imaging Spectroradiometer (MODIS) satellites. Over 11 years from 2012 to 2022, we examined the characteristics of NDVI changes in corn and soybean cultivation areas in Illinois, USA. VIIRS and MODIS satellite imagery NDVI exhibited a high correlation coefficient of over 0.98. However, during periods of rapid crop growth or decline, VIIRS NDVI showed values approximately 0.12 to 0.14 higher than MODIS. Estimating crop anomaly classes based on NDVI, we observed similar trends in corn and soybean crop anomaly classes in 2018 and 2019. However, in 2022, there appeared to be a significant divergence in crop anomaly classes, suggesting the need for further investigation. The correlation coefficients between MODIS and VIIRS satellite imagery NDVI and corn and soybean yields were consistently high, exceeding 0.8, indicating the potential for quantity estimation using both MODIS and VIIRS satellite imagery. Specifically, for VIIRS NDVI, excluding the increasing trend in crop quantity estimation for soybeans enhanced the correlation, and compared to MODIS, it showed a consistently high correlation with quantity from approximately 16 days earlier, indicating the potential for early estimation.

  • The purpose of this study is to identify the characteristics and the impact of it on the education satisfaction a positive change in life after the education according to education participation motive types in married immigrant women. By the regression, education participation motive types(${\beta}$=.16) affected on the women's the education satisfaction significantly but it's effect(${\beta}$=.16) on the a positive change in life through the education affected insignificantly. By the ANOVA analysis, the activity-oriented among the education participation motive types were highest in the level of education satisfaction, self-esteem, marital satisfaction, the length of residence in Korea, and age. By the logistic regression, only the length of residence in Korea affected on the activity-oriented significantly.

  • Many application using GIS has been carried out by governments and public office, and Cungbuk province has produced very effective results on agricultural income crops cultivation suit-land, since executed local autonomy system imported GIS for cope with variation of local administration environment, science of administration. The result on the selection of agricultural cultivation suit-land, in fact, offered us very useful information of the policy establishment concern with agriculture. In this study, we had analysed suit elements of cultivation : soil texture, soil drain, soil slope, soil depth and pH. ARC/INFO and ERDAS systems were used for this study.

  • 1) Lee-Su village is located in a riverside of an upper Tu-men river. Since an upper stream of Tu-men river is narrow and easy to pilot a boat, early in the past, it facilitated the form of the village near to the North Korean. 2) The form of the village is parabolic from the founding period. That is, increasing the number of houses in the time of the Cultural Revilution Campaign, and the Japanese colony, the village has transformed into the bigger size about 72 families from the small town. After the cultural revolution, due to private asset allowed in accordance with the Chinese Reform and Open Policy, the number of families in the town and the population have been decreased. As a result, 28 families live in the village currently. 3) The town which was well-ordered in the Japanese colonial period has been changed to a very disordered and agricultural town, owing to the decrease of the families A road system has been also ruined naturally in accordance with the decline of the number of the families.
