A mite damage was observed in spinach (Spinacia oleracea L.) under organic culture greenhouses. The mite was identified as Tyrophagus similis Volgin, 1949. It was very difficult for the farmers to diagnose the mite damage because of its tiny size about 0.5 nm in length. And the symptom was not clear at the early growth stage of the spinach because the mite mainly attack the very young leaves. In this study, we first report the spinach damages by T. similis in Korea. Informations on the mite morphology and the spinach damage symptoms are provided for the diagnosis.
This study was carried out to developed that appraisement model of Potential Productivity Index(PPI). PPI model was used Farmland Productivity Index(FPI) and Labor Productivity Index(LPI) by GIS, and PPI model applied to farm land consolidation region which has been completed recently. FPI was determined by overlapping Poly Grid of the soil properties at the analyzed project region. LPI was estimated by addition productive wages ratio of total direct productive cost. Addition productive wages determined by GIS Network analysis GIS Network analysis of working distance between farm house to paddy and each paddy. PPI variation of each the analyzed paddy of Masu and Weoncheon region was 0.967~0.780 respectively, and could be showed relative largely PPI value. PPI will provide basic element for large scaling and gathering of farm land and a substitute lot of farm land consolidation, and will be maximize productivity of paddy.
This study was carried out to find optimum condition through sterilization methods for cultivation of Neutaribeosut (Oyster mushroom). 1. Yield of additive culture of pine sawdust, cotton and rice hulls at bagcultivation of Neutaribeosut. was similiar to additive culture of pine sawdust, cotton and pulpe as conventional methods. 2. Yield of Neutaribeosut at low temp. sterilization method as 50 to 6$0^{\circ}C$ and 7days treatment was higher about 18 to 19% than that of high temp. as 121$^{\circ}C$ and 90 minutes treatment. 3. In case of farmercost, low than high temperature sterilization method appeared lowly about 12%. So this method will be of advantage to farmers in both yield and farmercost.

Recently, the scale and technical complexity of agricultural production has been growing. Therefore, agricultural facilities are being gradually diversified, expanded, and made more complex. To furnish Korea's agricultural industry with international competitiveness, it is thus necessary to introduce new management techniques. The PCM (procurement-construction-maintenance) information management system for agricultural facilities is established by setting up its WBS (work breakdown structure). In this study, the WBS of a facility such as facility, space, element, works, and resources is analyzed. Following this analysts, a WBS of an agricultural facility that is appropriate for the PCM information system of an agricultural facility, is proposed by deriving it from actual WBS.

The independent groups, which were scattered all over the Korean Peninsula in the bronze age, may be called 'walled-town states' rather than 'chiefdoms'. Gi-Back Lee, a famous Korean historian, argued that 'the walled-town state' rulers kept themselves safe by staying inside a mud-walled or wood-walled castle on a hilltop and they governed the farmers living in the surrounding plains. Among the twenty-one castle sites found in Jinju region, five are believed to be 'walled-town state' sites. Inside the castle are found no well sites. The average altitude of the five castles is 189.4m and the average length of their circumferences is 250m. Archeological excavation research on the castle sites is expected for more scientific conclusion on the 'walled-town states'.

In this paper, a cultivation traceability system to implement smart agriculture developed and implemented, and in particular, devised a system that manages the cultivation traceability of grains that are difficult to grow in smart farms. Mobile and web programs based on smart devices are designed, and the collected information is stored in a DB server and can be used as big data. In addition, real-time location information and agricultural activity information can be matched using an electronic map(Vworld) based on GIS/LBS applying GPS of a mobile device. By designing the cultivation traceability information DB required in the field, the farmhouse, farmers, and cultivation information were developed to make it easy for managers to use, and implemented mobile and web programs in the field. The system is expected to raise the quality and safety management capabilities to the next level in response to variables such as labor saving effect and climate change.

General purpose of the study was to understend nutritional status of the Korean farmers and thus provide rural nutrition intervention programs with more useful in formation and data. The data for the study was collected two times from the 603 sample farm households in 1982 and 1987. The main results of the study were as follows ; 1) Food intake of the Korean farmers was highly dependent upon vegetable foods especially on cereals and gains. However the unbalanced food intake pattern was gradually improved as consumption of vegetable foods was decreased from 992.8 grams per person per day in 1982 to 946.4g in 1987 and that of animal foods increased from 54.2g to 91.4g . 2) In mean value analysis on nutrient intake of the farmeres intakes of energy and protein were nearly reached to Recommended Dietary Allowances(RDA) level; intakes of calcium vitamin A and riboflavin were quite deficient whereas iron thiamin niacin and ascorbic acid were well over. From 1982 to 1987 intakes of all nutrients except energy were increased. 3) In distribution analysis on nutrient intake coefficient of variation(CV) of all nutrients except iron was increased. skewness(SK) the coefficients of calcium iron vitamin A riboflavin and ascorbic acid were decreased Kurtosis (Ku) of iron and vitamin A was increased. On the whole distributions of nutrient intake of the farmers were changed in undesirable ways although the mean values of the nutrient intake were improved 4) In relationship analysis among 115 relationships 76 relationships were consistent between 1982 and 1987. Of 76 consistent relationships only 10 relationship were significant at 5% level such as the protein intake level and the balance of food intake calcium intake level and the age etc.
In relation to $4^{th}$ industrial revolution, it is required to build a smart agricultural system using the pest control drones, which are emerging fast these days as a role to support pest control work of farmers and improve aging issues in farming. However, the absence of accurate criteria on management of the pest control drones and the effect of pesticide application is leading to damage to crops by pesticides. The extreme shortage of analysis of management of the pest control drones and relevant studies, and big differences in pest control efficiency depending on the operation skills of controllers are the biggest reasons for the damage. Therefore, this paper suggests a basic study on agricultural pest control drone operation system buildup to make out working schedules and calculate the dosage of pesticide by understanding the features of the pest control drones properly based on the control using smart operating mode.
In the 2000s, China has been pushing the issue of San-Nong as a national priority. Farmland transfer, one of the solutions to the problem of San-Nong, has grown rapidly over the past decade. Especially, as farmland transfer was promoted, the rural economy developed and the living standards of the farmers improved greatly. However, the rigidity of farmland transfer type, which focuses on Zhuan-Bao method, hinders farmers' willingness to relocate to farmland transfer and ultimately acts as an obstacle in promoting massive farmland transfer. The purpose of this paper is to analyze the determinants of farmland transfer types and farmland transfer prices in Chinese farmers. Based on the results of the analysis, the following implications are suggested. First, farmers should be instructed to farmland transfer in a Ru-Gu manner; Second, the contract period must be long; Third, it is necessary to prepare countermeasures for the farmland transfer by crops; Fourth, Educational programs should be built for the farmers of farmland transfer.

The smartfarm is a leader in the Field of environmental monitoring in agriculture. By the use of wireless remote systems, monitoring applications of the smartfarm are able to provide vital information to the farmer wherever he may be. Absentee farmers are finding the ease of viewing the application graphs on their mobile phone is providing them with peace of mind. We design system and technical requirements of service for managing and operating smart-farm based on cloud technology. It describes requirements of cloud technology for monitoring, controlling, managing, and operating cloud-based smart farm. Smart farm system and service with cloud platform contains 3 interfaces and 3 services. In addition, smart-farm using cloud platform could have several cases so it should be established and managed in varying way depending on cultivars, its size and type. This paper will focus the industry's attention on the importance of Open/Standard Cloud platform thereby stimulating the smartfarm in agriculture.
