초고속 네트워크에 연동된 고성능 컴퓨팅 자원들을 효율적으로 활용하려는 그리드 컴퓨팅(Grid computing) 기술은 네트워크를 통한 기존의 단순한 정보 공유(Information sharing)뿐만 아니라 자원의 공유 (Resource sharing)를 통해 분산된 자원들의 통합을 가능하게 한다. 이상적인 그리드 컴퓨팅 환경을 구축하기 위해서는 무엇보다도 그리드 환경에 속한 자원들의 정보를 통합적으로 관리 및 서비스하는 것이 무엇보다도 중요하다. 그리드 정보서비스의 역할은 그리드 사용자가 필요한 자원 및 그에 대한 정보를 쉴게 찾을 수 있도록 다양한 검색 기능을 제공하는 것 이외에도, 전세계에 분산된 자원들의 최신 정보를 빠르게 서비스하도록 하여야 한다. 이를 위해서는 그리드 환경의 특성을 고려하여 효율적인 그리드 정보 서비스 아키텍쳐를 구성하는 것이 필요하다. 본 논문에서는 기존에 널리 사용되는 그리드 정보 서비스(MDS) 모듈 구조인 클라이언트/서버 구조가 아닌 피어-투-피어 구조의 정보 서비스 구조(PARIS)를 제안한다. 이는 그리드 자원 활용의 지역성과 사용자 접근 패턴에 따라 정보 서비스의 정확성을 높이면서 지연 시간을 획기적으로 감소시킬 수 있다.

WWW(World Wide Web)은 인터넷상에 광범위하게 분산된 다양한 형식의 데이터를 손쉽게 검색할 수 있도록 하며, 모든 응용의 사용자 환경을 손쉽게 포함시킴으로써 새로운 미디어 타입의 통합을 위한 가장 성공적인 기술로 평가받고 있다. 처음 Tim Berners-Lee에 의해 처음 개발될 당시 WWW는 텍스트 기반의 구조에 맞추어 비동기적인 형태의 검색과 상호작용을 지원하도록 설계되었다. 반면 최근 인터넷상의 상당수를 차지하는 오디오, 비디오와 같은 실시간 환경의 멀티미디어 데이터들은 연속적, 동기적이며, 대화형 특징을 포함하고 있어 WWW에서 이러한 미디어들을 통합하기 위해서는 구조적인 확장이 요구된다. 본 논문에서는 현재 가장 많이 쓰이는 WWW 기능인 e-Mail 서비스에 대한 동기적 방법론을 제안하고자 한다. e-Mail 사용자가 HTML tag에 대한 사전 지식이 없이도 사전을 기반으로 e-Mail의 형식을 지정할 수 있도록 하며 이렇게 함으로써 보다 동기적인 형태의 서비스를 구현하도록 한다.

웹을 통한 다수의 정보서비스와 전산자원을 공동으로 활용하는 경우에 있어서는, 구성자원에 대한 통합과 공동 활용이 상당히 중요한 요소이다. 일반적으로 웹 서비스를 위한 구성요소로서는 Web, WAS, 데이터베이스, 검색엔진 등의 다양한 소프트웨어를 통합, 운영하게 된다. 또한, 투입비용에 대한 효과적인 측면과 서비스 연속성 측면에서 서버의 공유 및 공유 스토로지에 대한 요구를 피할 수 없게 된다. 본 논문에서는 전체적인 서비스의 성능에 커다란 영향을 미치는 Back-end Tier의 검색서버를 통하여, IP 네트워크 기반의 스토리지 I/O에 대한 성능측정을 수행하였고, 그 성능실험의 결과에 따라 해당 애플리케이션에 최적의 스토리지 설계하고, 애플리케이션의 특성별로 최적의 스토리지를 할당하여 정보서비스의 전체적인 성능향상을 이루었다.

The objective of this paper is to develop mobile-based PACS(Picture Archiving Communication System: mPACS) for diagnostic medical image service available via Android-based mobile smartphone. The proposed mPACS provides an integrated platform for mobile application of diagnostic medical images stored in hospital PACS, and allows the smartphone to store, retrieve, manipulate and transfer the diagnostic medical images. Then, the mPACS platform includes the following features for use in the Android framework (i. e., diagnostic medical image processing) : transfer protocols between PACS, mPACS and smartphone, image format converter, JPEG and JPEG2000 coders, text and avatar search, and etc. This mPACS is shown to be useful and effective in providing a solution for mobile-based diagnostic medical image service.

SMTP와 POP3를 이용하여 많은 웹 메일 서비스들이 구현 되어 있다. 이런 웹 메일 서비스들은 모든 업체들이 기본적으로 지원하는 기능들과 부가적인 기능들을 사용자에게 서비스 하고 있다. 본 논문에서는 이런 여러 가지 기능에 사용자의 환경(주소록, 받은 메일, 지운 메일등)과 같은 것들을 XML파일로 변환, XML파일을 다시 RDB에 삽입하여 서로 다른 기반의 웹 메일 서비스를 이용할 때도 저장해놓은 XML파일을 이용해 기존의 환경을 다시 구축하고 오프라인 상에서도 검색 할 수 있는 기능을 구현하였다.

Recently, most of computing technology is based on web. Therefore, the users register web services or needed resources, and they can find and use the registered item. These services can be used alone or can be used in combination. When the item is used in combination, the ordering and association of service is important, and an ontology that defined association of services is required. In this paper, we define association of services based on ontology, and propose a method that can be used by services integration. The proposed method provides an efficient retrieval service by compositing the ontology with the service area and data association area.

최근의 웹 환경은 개별적인 웹 어플리케이션을 통합하는 웹 서비스의 방식을 원하게 되었다. UDDI는 이러한 요구를 수용하여 웹 서비스 시스템에 대한 정보를 한 곳에 분류하여 쉽게 검색할 수 있게 해주므로 특정한 웹 서비스를 찾기 위한 노력을 줄일 수 있다. 이러한 UDDI의 기본적인 검색 기능을 기반으로 웹 서비스 중개자는 다양한 형태로 응용된 정보를 클라이언트에게 제공할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 UDDI 레지스트리에 정보를 올리고 원하는 형태로 정보를 가져오는 과정을 구현하였다.

For Knowledge Information Governance, integration search mechanism of Knowledge Information is required in various industries. But when Knowledge Information system constructs in each professional field, it developed and used its own metadata format. Accordingly, if distributed information system searches using metadata, heterogeneous problems are occurred among metadata. For integration search, it needs a consistency management of metadata. Therefore, this paper defines a standard metadata that represent standard metadata as surveying a used metadata in each field systems. Also, we propose a metadata registry integration framework for Knowledge Information Governance. It enables an integration search service without a metadata modification of existing system. Through the proposed framework, it can registries and manages efficiently the existing metadata. Also, it enables a semantically extended search using semantic relation between metadata.

With the development of ICT technology and the promotion of smartphone penetration, purchasing services that purchase various products through online market are being activated. In particular, due to advances in storage and delivery technology, sales of short food materials can be purchased online. Therefore, in this paper, we propose an integrated solution that enables advertisement effect, ordering and delivery through a purchase service even if there is no sales knowledge and sales network in a small shopping mall where only offline sales can be performed. The proposed system is able to efficiently view the product information by category through image search for the product that the user desires, so that the seller of the registered product can efficiently sell without any additional advertisement.

The World Wide Web is transitioning from being a mere collection of documents that contain useful information toward providing a collection of services that perform useful tasks. The emerging Web service technology has been envisioned as the next technological wave and is expected to play an important role in this recent transformation of the Web. By providing interoperable interface standards for application-to-application communication, Web services can be combined with component-based software development to promote application interaction and integration within and across enterprises. To make Web services for service-oriented computing operational, it is important that Web services repositories not only be well-structured but also provide efficient tools for an environment supporting reusable software components for both service providers and consumers. As the potential of Web services for service-oriented computing is becoming widely recognized, the demand for an integrated framework that facilitates service discovery and publishing is concomitantly growing. In our research, we propose a framework that facilitates Web service discovery and publishing by combining clustering techniques and leveraging the semantics of the XML-based service specification in WSDL files. We believe that this is one of the first attempts at applying unsupervised artificial neural network-based machine-learning techniques in the Web service domain. We have developed a Web service discovery tool based on the proposed approach using an unsupervised artificial neural network and empirically evaluated the proposed approach and tool using real Web service descriptions drawn from operational Web services repositories. We believe that both service providers and consumers in a service-oriented computing environment can benefit from our Web service discovery approach.
