It is becoming harder and harder to philosophically defend liberalism in general under the circumstances in which neoliberalism is presumed to be blamed for today's global economic crisis. I nonetheless believe that liberal democracy can be revitalized with the help not from outside but from inside, although this might make my paper 'untimely'. Philosophical reflection on market is indispensible to the project of radical liberalism. Philosophy of market first delves into the nature of market in Principle. Next, it stipulates upon the complex interrelationships between the market order and the democratic order. This inquiry will cast light on that both the standard pro-market theory and the anti-market theory in relation to democracy are one-sided. The project of radical liberalism can be further articulated with the introduction of the concept of 'the political'. In conclusion, radical liberalism is expounded as a plausible version of Contemporary Korean social philosophy with a universal connotation.

The radical probabilitists deny that propositions represent experience. However, since the impact of experience should be propagated through our belief system and be communicated with other agents, they should find some alternative protocols which can represent the impact of experience. The useful protocol which the radical probabilistists suggest is the Bayes factors. It is because Bayes factors factor out the impact of the prior probabilities and satisfy the requirement of commutativity. My main challenge to the radical probabilitists is that there is another useful protocol, q(E|$N_p$) which also factors out the impact of the prior probabilities and satisfies the requirement of commutativity. Moreover I claim that q(E|$N_p$) has a pragmatic virtue which the Bayes factors have not.

Much of literature on the paradoxes of confirmation has been focused on the problems raised by the fact that a nonblack nonraven confirms the hypothesis that every raven is black. In this paper I would like to emphasize that more interesting problems are still waiting to be explained, if we notice that a black nonraven confirms the raven hypothesis as well. For this I examine what Hempel exactly means by the paradoxes of confirmation, and show that the previous discussions on the paradoxes were at most partial solutions. Then I argue that Hempel presupposes the so-called 'converse consequence condition' regarding confirmational evidence. Finally I discuss what impact is made on the Bayesian solution to the paradoxes, if we accept a more faithful interpretation to Hempel.

Some Korean Philosophers has manifested their opinions on Sleeping Beauty problem. For example, Hasuk Song and Namjoong Kim stands for an thirder, while Hanseung Kim for a perspectivistic compatibilist. In order to fill a vacant position, I shall make an argument for halfers in this paper. My presumption is that the probability the question now given to sleeping beauty is the first question among several is greater than thirder's calculated value. Futhermore, I argue that the probability the coin landed heads on condition that the question now given to sleeping beauty is the first question is greater than 1/2.

This analysis is intended to approach a computer game in the context of cultural-study theories. The semiotics can be applied to various area, and it is assumed to also applied to computer games. In semiotical background we tried to analyze the mythology of Starcraft mainly by using Propp's narratives theory and Brathes' mythologies theory. In the narratives of Starcraft, we fouind some simplified functions which penetrate the internal structure. And while most of the games having paradigmatic flow in narratives, Starcraft has syntagmatic flow mainly because of the function of network. With these conditions, we could find some mythologies in Starcraft : (1) naturalization of discipline and control, (2) time and space as resources, (3) deprivation of values of object.

In this paper, I introduce what Boundary-Shifting theories of vagueness (or Contextualism about vagueness) are and what the Context-Fixing Argument is, which is the most powerful and plausible objection to Boundary-Shifting theories. The basic idea of the Context-Fixing Argument is that vagueness still remains even if we hold the context fixed. Many objections based on this simple idea can be found in the literature on Boundary-Shifting theories. It seems that, without a convincing response to the Context-Fixing Argument, Boundary-Shifters must be in trouble. But, oddly, defenders of Boundary Shifters have said very little about this matter. In this situation, ${\AA}$kerman and Greenough try to defend Boundary-Shifting theories of vagueness by suggesting several answers. In this paper, I critically examine their suggestions and develop a new answer to the Context-Fixing Argument.

Continuous provocation of Japanese government to a Dokdo issue and Agreement on Fisheries between the Republic of Korea and Japan evokes a rage and resistance to whole nation in South Korea. In view of mass culture, Japanese Rightists cartoonists, Kobayashi Yoshinori and Yamano Syarin show distorted history in their works. Therefore the consideration of the birth of the Japanese right-wing cartoon is needed in historical, social and cultural viewpoints. First, the actual condition and historical background of Japanese Rightist will be showed. Second, a new Japanese history textbook which was written by right-wing organizations and Yasukuni-jinja will be discussed objectively. Finally, the representative of Japanese right-wing cartoons, and by Kobayashi Yoshinori and Yamano Syarin about historical distortion will be analyzed carefully. In this dissertation, through the factual analysis of cartoons, in opposition to a prejudice and distortion about Korean history of Japanese Rightist, cartoonists' precise and academic posture is proposed.

The goal of this paper is mainly to review and summarize the theory of cataloging. This artical reviews the theortical background of cataloging. First, the objectives and function of the library catalog was analyzed. Second, According to this methodology was researched the Cutter's theory of 'convenience of the public' on the cataloging, Osborn's 'the Crisis of Cataloging' (legalist theory of cataloging, perfectionism theory bibliographic theory and pragmatic theory) and Lubetzky's the theory of 'Cataloging Rules and Principles' and the last Houten' s 'In the Iron Age of Cataloging' theory.

The judgement of 'Koreon Maritime Safety Tribunal'(KMST) influences criminal/civil trials, and thus the judgement must be decided very carefully. The Judge must bear in mind the Principle of Free Evaluation of Evidence is restricted by the admissibility of evidence, in dubio proreo and others. Also, empirical role must be used very carefully with strict proof. Therefore the reasons of the proof shall be expressed on the adjudication.

The purpose of this article is to demonstrate that Hegel's philosophy of right is a dialectic critique of liberalism. The dialectical criticism in this article does not mean the formal logical denial, but a return to self by self-negation. Thus, if Hegel's philosophy of right is a dialectical critique of liberalism, Hegel's philosophy of right will be critical of liberalism and at the same time, it will not reject liberalism, but rather have aspects of liberalism. The criticism of liberalism implies that individual freedoms and rights can not be realized subjectively through individual free acts, but are realized intersubjectively through social mediums. And this is also found in controversies among modern liberalists because modern liberalism requires the government's role and institutional arrangements for the realization of individual freedoms and rights. We can find the aspects of liberalism in Hegel's philosophy of right since Hegel's ethical life entails ultimately the concrete realization and extension of individual freedom and rights.
