The purpose of this study was to explore and classify the types of portal sites' preferences among korean elderly in Korea by using the Q-methodology. 35 q-samples were adopted based on literature reviews and interviews with elderly and staff in charge of information education for the elderly. As results, types of portal sites' preferences among Korean elderly were categorized into four: 1) universality and popularity, 2) personal interests, 3) social relationship, and 4) convenience. This study also explored attributes of each type of perception and delivered implication to prepare and improve better portal sites for the elderly and finally help them use portal site more effectively and enhance their quality of life.

노인장기요양보험 체계의 캐어매니지먼트 발달 배경과 제도적 문제점을 파악하여 이에 근거한 활성화 방안을 모색하였다. 기존의 케어매니지먼트는 선진국의 대인 서비스 기관에서 널리 보급되고 있는 사회복지실천의 분야이다. 특히 캐어매니지먼트 활성화를 위해 기존의 케어 대상자들이 양질의 서비스를 받을 수 있도록 케어매니저의 종합적인 지원체계와 교육훈련 및 업무에 관한 제도적 조항이 설정되어야 한다.

노인 및 거동 불편 환자들이 목욕 중 낙상 사고 등을 당하는 비율은 매년 증가하고 있다. 특히 국내 65세 이상 1인 가구 197만 가구는(22년 기준) 가족의 돌봄 없이 혼자 생활하고 있어, 이들이 목욕 중에 사고를 당하는 경우, 빠른 구호가 어려운 상황이다. 이에 본 논문에서는 독거노인의 증가와 낙상 사고의 위험성에 초점을 맞추어 거동이 불편한 환자라도 혼자서 목욕이 가능한, 모든 사용자로부터 접근성을 높인 샤워 부스를 개발 및 연구한다. 요양보호사 두 명과 인터뷰를 하여 실제 상황에서의 문제점을 파악한다. 인터뷰 내용을 바탕으로 사용자의 안전을 1순위로 고려하고, 사용 편의성 및 청결을 유지하는 방안을 고려한다.

This study aimed to identify the impact of human rights violations on elderly discrimination, focusing on the mediating effect of elderly-related experiences. After conducting a two-month survey of 143 dental students in some parts of Busan from September 4, 2020, hierarchical regression analysis was conducted to find out the mediating effects of elderly-related experiences using the SPSS 26.0 program. Dental hygiene students' perception of infringement on elderly human rights was shown to be significant in elderly discrimination(r=-.310) and elderly-related experiences(.185), indicating that elderly-related experiences were partially mediated in elderly human rights infringement and elderly discrimination. Therefore, this study intends to provide basic data on the development of dental hygiene curriculum in a super-aging society by reconsidering the need for senior-related experiences in dental hygiene and education.

The purpose of this study is to find out the characteristics of elderly pedestrian accidents and to suggest policy implications to enhance the level of elderly pedestrian safety. Although much efforts has made to enhance traffic safety environment, pedestrian traffic accidents among elderly population are not significantly decreased. This is mainly because current traffic safety measures do not much consider the characteristics of elderly pedestrians in the aspects of physical and psychological conditions. Main findings from vehicle-pedestrian traffic accident data and survey are as follows. First elderly pedestrians have high probability of traffic accident near crosswalks or cross streets rather than on crosswalk or cross streets. Second they need more green light time for crossing the streets. Third, they feel motor cycles running on the side walk and parked vehicles on the side walk are the most dangerous factors. Forth, general drivers do not have reasonable understanding for the walking behaviors of elderly pedestrians. Fifth, elderly pedestrians frequently need to rest while walking. Sixth, elderly people do not see clearly or understand traffic signs. Finally, many elderly pedestrians experience accidents or inconvenience while walking on the sidewalk.

The purpose of this study was to identify nurses' communication style and the extent of their health literacy and to discern the impact of nurses' communication and health literacy on self-care behaviors, as perceived by elderly diabetic patients in comprehensive nursing-care service wards. This study provides basic data for establishing an efficient nursing-care service-system environment through high-quality self-management. The measurement and improvement of an accurate health literacy level of elderly diabetic patients is an important intervention method to increase the self-care behavior of patients. Therefore, by developing a distinguished nursing intervention plan, early treatment of diabetic patients and quality of care may be possible.

The purpose of this study was to analyze the characteristics of elderly motorcycle accidents according to data from elderly inpatients to prepare prevention measures for the elderly against injury in motorcycle accidents. Chi-squared test, independent sample t-test, and canonical correlation analysis were performed on the Korea Disease Control and Prevention Agency's National Hospital Discharge In-depth Injury Survey data from 2015 to 2019, from which the records of 1,384 elderly inpatients hospitalized because of motorcycle accidents were obtained. intracranial injury(S06) was the most common care and treatment characteristic for both age groups. The most frequent injury site was the head and neck, and the most frequent injury type was a fracture. The above findings show that prevention education and policy formulation at the national level are necessary to identify and manage the factors of elderly motorcycle accidents. This study provides basic data for developing measures and policies to prevent and reduce injuries, making it significant for public health causes.

This study was to investigate the supporting awareness and empathy with the dental hygiene student. The participants were 193 dental hygiene students in Gwang Ju city and analyzed by the frequency analyzed, t-test, ANOVA, pearson corelation coefficients and multiple regression analysis using IBM SPSS STATICS 20.0. Supporting awareness and empathy about the elderly had a significant positive correlation. Factors influencing empathy were interest of elderly problem and supporting awareness. It is necessary to the establishment of a subject and education program about elderly in dental hygiene students.

2022년 기준, 독거노인 가구 수 176만 가구 시대에 노인을 위한 케어 서비스가 필요하다. 고령화 사회에 맞춰, 노인 케어 서비스가 많이 출시되었으나 비대면 케어 서비스는 부족한 면이 있다. 비대면 케어 서비스의 경우, 특히 비싼 값에 판매된다는 단점과 로봇과 소통해야 한다는 단점이 있다. 이를 보완하여 저렴한 가격에 생명력을 지닌 식물을 이용해 소통을 증진시켜 우울감 해소를 돕는다면, 노인 비대면 케어 체계에 큰 도움을 줄 것이라고 확신한다. 이에 따라, 본 연구에서는 식물와 어플리케이션을 이용하여 저가격 보급화가 가능한 비대면 복지 시스템을 개발하고자 한다. 구체적으로, 화분이라는 대화 매개체를 통해 어르신들의 대화 증진을 유도하여 우울증 완화에 도움을 주고자 한다. 또한, 시스템을 통해 수집되는 일상 데이터를 활용해 이상징후를 파악하여 고독사 예방을 위한 후속 조치를 취할 수 있다. 본 논문에서는 위의 시스템을 통해 복지 사각지대를 해소하며, 어르신들의 정신 건강 증진에 기여할 수 있을거라 기대한다.

This study was inteded to include online social relations and ability use information and communication devices to analyze the elderly's participation in volunteer activities and provide basic data to identify the elderly's participation in volunteer activities. The statistical data of the 2017 National survey of Senior Citizen, only 10,073 people aged 65 or older were sampled out of 10,299 people. The participation rate of volunteering was frequently analyzed, and the difference in participation in volunteer according to the factors was Chi-square analysis and One-way variance analysis. A polynomial regression analysis was conducted to identify the effect factors of participation in volunteering. As a results. 3.9% of older adults are volunteering and 11.5% are experienced in the past. Participation in volunteer activity differed significantly depending on age, education level, economic level, subjective health, body function, ability use information and communication devices, social networks, frequency of face-to-face contact and frequency of non face contact. In the regression analysis, utilization of communication and device, social networking, face to face contact frequency were show to be the effect factors. In order to promote elderly's participation in volunteer activities, consideration of related resources reported in prior studies, social relations, frequency of face-to-face contact and ability to use information and communication devices is considered important.
