  • Over the last decade or so, there has been an increase in activity devoted to the development of renewable resources for generating electric energy. Many of these generators are small and can only be economically connected to the distribution system or to ths subtransmission system. Those which involve storage, a secondary source of energy, can provide a means to achieve more efficient use of existing generating plant. Such systems are known collectively as Dispersed Storage and Generation devices, or DSGs. So, in this paper, for uninterruptable service in one bank outage in 154/22.9KV substation, the proper capacity of DSGs is examined through the configuration and the reliability.

  • 전력계통은 선로설비 규모면에서 급격하게 증가를 해 왔고, 특히 선로는 천재지변 등에 의해 절연이 파괴되고 조류나 기타 원인에 의해 병렬사고 및 단락사고 둥이 유발되고 있다. 대다수 전기사고는 신속한 선로복구를 요구하는데 이를 위해 신속하고 정확하게 고장위치를 검출하는 방법이 요구되기 때문에 전력회사 기술자와 연구자들에 의해 고장위치 검출 방법이 주요 과제로 수행되어 왔다. 또한, 전력시장의 규제완화에 의해 전력품질의 경쟁력을 요구하고, 이에 대한 관심이 높아짐으로서 본 연구에서는 배전계통의 고장위치를 신속, 정확하게 추정하는 알고리즘을 제안하고자 한다.

  • This paper proposes a new methodology for adequacy evaluation of composite power system considering an ambiguity of overload of transmission lines. Nodal arrival powers under considering an ambiguity of overload of transmission lines can be evaluated using the proposed method. Fuzzy set theory has been used in order to consider the permission level of overload of transmission lines. The problem of adequacy evaluation has been formulated using fuzzy linear programing. The effectiveness of the proposed method considering permissible overload of transmission lines has been demonstrated on the IEEE RTS.

But in practical distribution system, voltage variation characteristics of high and low voltage distribution line are not same. Then in this paper, we proposes a voltage regulation method considering load variation characteristics of high and low voltage distribution line in distribution system.

  • Voltage drop of low voltage distribution line is closely related with proper voltage regulation. It depends on the voltage drop of pole transformer, low voltage distribution line, and low voltage customer entrance line. Using above voltage drop factors, we proposes an estimation method of voltage drop in low voltage distribution line. Proposed method has been applied to a 22.9kV practical distribution system.

  • This paper deals with a evaluation algorithm of interruption cost in distribution systems in the case where Dispersed Storage and Generation (DSG) systems are interconnected with the distribution systems. If DSG systems are operated as the function of the load levelling in distribution systems at the normal conditions and as the uninterruptible power supply in fault areas at the emergency conditions, the reliability improvement of the distribution systems can be expected. In other words, the benefit can be represented by the cost avoiding interruption according to the operation of DSG systems when a fault is occurred. Therefore, this paper presents the evaluation algorithm for interruption cost in order to evaluate the benefit for the uninterruptible power supply of DSG systems in a quantitative manner.

  • This paper deals with a method for determining an optimal operation strategy of dispersed generating sources. For effective utilization of dispersed generating sources, it is indispensable to consider their thermal merits in addition to electric power. And then the optimal operation of these sources can be determined easily by the principle of equal incremental fuel cost. This paper presents an priority method to decide the optimal location of those sources in power systems about the whole year. The validity of the proposed algorithms are demonstrated using a model system.

  • Compared to other sources of electricity such as Thermal and Nuclear power plant, dispersed storage and generation system (DSG) is environmentally clean, quiet and efficient, thus this source is expected to be introduced In urban area by the utilities and customers. If a great number of DSG will be applied to electric power system in the rear future (around 2000, in Korea), these will give a great influence on the existing power system. In other words, the interconnection to electric power system of these source may bring many problems such as system operation, protection coordination, and service quality related with voltages (110${\pm}$6V, 220${\pm}$13V), harmonics (5%) and pour factor (90% over). So, this analysis of the interconnection to power system of DSG is required

  • 종래의 배전계통에 있어서의 전력조류는 변전소에서 선로말단을 향한 단 방향이었지만, 분산전원이 연계된 배전계통의 경우에는 그 출력용량의 여부에 따라 양방향의 전력조류가 발생할 가능성이 있어, 계통운용상 여러 가지의 문제점이 야기될 수 있다. 분산형전원에 대규모전원의 보완적 역할과 배전선로 상의 국부적 부하 감당 역할을 부과하여 그의 적극적 활용을 꾀하기 위해서는, 분산전원으로부터 배전계통에 전력을 공급하는 역조류의 기능을 허용할 수 있는 양방향 보호협조방식의 체제를 확립할 필요가 있다. 따라서 본 연구에서는 분산전원 연계에 따른 보호협조 기본 방안과 부하절체 운전에 따른 보호협조 방안, 변압기결선에 따른 보호협조 방안 등에 대한 알고리즘을 제시하였다.

  • 전력 시스템은 인간이 만든 시스템 가운데 가장 크고 복잡한 시스템이다. 현대 디지털 경제 사회의 인프라는 전력시스템을 통한 전기에너지의 공급과 기술에 기초하고 있다. 전력시스템은 대용량화, 대규모화, 고 효율화를 위한 시설증대와 기술개발로 이루어져 있다. 사람이 직접 사고 현장을 가지 않고 컴퓨터로 제어함으로써 사람의 번거로움을 기계가 대신해 줌으로서 사람의 생활을 보다 편리하며 효율성 측면에서도 기여함에 틀림이 없는 사실이다. 따라서 디지털 정보화 사회에서 언제 어디서나 인간과 설비들이 컴퓨터와 통신네트워크에 의해 접속되는 유비쿼터스화 사회의 에너지와 정보통신 인프라 역할로 새롭게 전환 될 수 있음을 인식하는 전력감시시스템을 PLC 기술을 이용하여 저렴하게 구현하였다.
