  • A distributed healthcare monitoring system prototype for clinical and trauma patients, was developed, using wireless sensor network node. The proposed system aimed to measure various vital physiological health parameters like ECG and body temperature of patients and elderly persons and transfer his/ her health status wirelessly in Ad-hoc network, to remote base station which was connected to doctor's PDA/PC or to a hospital's main Server using wireless sensor node. The system also aims to save the cost of healthcare facility for patients and the operating power of the system because sensor network is deployed widely and the distance from sensor to base station was shorter than in general centralized system. The wireless data communication will follow IEEE 802.15.4 frequency communication with ad-hoc routing thus enabling every motes attached to patients, to form a wireless data network to send data to base-station, providing mobility and convenience to the users in home environment.

  • The purpose of the present study is to theoretically assess IT Implementation Model of Cooper and Zmud (1990) in a hospital IS use context. A case study was applied to analogical study by interview from several end-users of the information systems at a university hospital. This study presented an EMR(Electronic Medical Record) systems how is initially implemented at an initial stage, continually adopted, adapted, accepted at an adoption stage, and finally rountinized and infused into an organization. Our study also elaborated IT Implementation Model as defining EMR development and its impact on nature of IS use in a hospital. This case study explained the characteristics of EMR and hospital organization context conceptually.

  • RFID and USN are major technology in Ubiquitous. RFID is an automatic identification method, relying on storing and remotely retrieving data using devices called RFID tags or transponders through RFID reader. USN is wireless sense network and monitoring environment conditions that is temperature, noise, pressure, oscillation. In this paper, we propose wireless sensor network system that is monitoring to optimize environment conditions.

  • The use of Wireless Sensor Networks in many applications require not only efficient network design but also broad aspects of security, military and health care for hospital. Among many applications of WSNs, target tracking is an essential research area in WSNs. We need to track a target quickly as well as find the lost target in WSNs. In this paper, we propose an efficient target tracking method. We also propose an efficient clustering method and algorithm for target tracking.

  • In the ubiquitous computing environments, ICT industries of current society are developed in enormous growth. Medicine or patients with mobile devices can access at any time, any place. The medical procedures at the patient bedside are out of the scope of current systems, which means that patient record and image data access during the medical visit or the execution, recording and confirmation of the medicine prescriptions, still do not enjoy computerized support. Today, the exchange of medical images and clinical information is well defined by DICOM and HL7 standards. The DICOM independent terminal equipment image access system was developed in which a DICOM Engine acts as the gateway between a PACS DB and user's terminal. Implementation system is compatible with most currently available Integration system models. This paper presents a software technology where the medical and nursing staff will be equipped with any device connected by wire and wireless to a central server that provides access to the electronic patient records and that will actively inform about tasks pending distribution. The prototype described in this article implements a medical images and structured reports server that makes the search and recovery of data stored in the DICOM standard possible.

  • The present study examined factors for current conditions of dental office manager in Korean dental clinic. 108 randomly selected members of Korean dental office manager responded to a questionnaire. A survey was conducted for a month from 1, June 2008, and the chi-square test and ANOVA were used in the statistical analysis. The findings of the study were as follows: The number of members depending on the type of occupation dental hospital was the highest number of members, members of the dental hygienist at the dental hospital number significantly higher. The career of dental office manager followed by 1-5 year in dental hospital, 5-10 year in dental network, 1-5 year in dental clinic accounting for 48%, 52.9%, 69.4%. The difficulty during duty performance are high expectation of owner in dental hospital, learning of dental office manager duty in dental clinic. The duty of dental office manager followed by customer service, appointment scheduling, telephone etiquette, treatment plan. Henceforth, it needs to standardize the Korean name of dental office manager and duty. Also, it have to an official certification system.

  • RFID 시스템은 물품 등의 관리할 사물에 태그를 부착하고 전파를 이용하여 사물의 정보(Identification) 및 주변 환경 정보를 인식하여 각 사물의 정보를 수집, 저장, 가공 및 추적함으로써 사물에 대한 측위, 원격처리 관리 및 개체 간에 정보교환 등 다양한 서비스를 제공하며, 칩, 태그, 리더, 미들웨어 및 응용서비스플랫폼으로 구성된다. 이러한 RFID 기술은 반도체 기술의 지속적인 발전에 의한 컴퓨팅 능력의 급성장과 통신망 인프라의 융합화를 기반으로 이제까지의 사람 중심 정보화에서 사물중심으로 정보화의 지평을 확대시킬 수 있는 핵심기수로서 부각되고 있다.[1][2][3] 본 연구는 실용화되어 운영되고 있는 RFID미들웨어의 형태를 조사하여 연구하고, RFID 기반 EPC 네트워크를 이용하여 병원 환경에서 RFID태그를 리더가 읽은 후 태그정보와 병원정보를 매칭하여 병원환경에서 통합적으로 운영할 수 있는 미들웨어(Middleware) 인터페이스 프로그램 개발에 관한 연구를 진행한다.

  • IMF 체제와 의료시장 개방 체제속에서 경쟁우위와 합리적인 경영환경을 구축하기 위해서는 의료업계에서도 불합리한 구조적 개선과 다변화하는 고객서비스 개선을 위해 병원 조직의 효과성 또는 경영 합리화를 위해 구조조정이 불가피하다. 변화의 대응전략 하나로정보기술(Information Technology)에 의한 HPR(Hospital Process ReEngineering) 방법론을 적용시켜 조직의 리스트럭처링(Restructuring)과 프로세스 리엔지니어링(Process ReEngineering)개선으로 인한 경영환경 변화요인을 분석함으로써 기대되는 학습조직, 유연조직, 가상조직, 네트워크 조직, 인간존중조직의 구성효과와 서비스의 질적 향상, 조직의 재구성, 업무의 재분배,인적자원의 적재적소 배치, 사무환경개선, 업무처리과정이 표준와, 경영환경 개선의 기대효과와 정보기술은 단순한 프로세스의 개선, 효율화가 아니라 새로운 환경에 적합한 최적의 경영도구로 병원의 목적 달성에 간접적이 아닌 직접적인 도움을 주는 성공요인으로 평가하였다.

  • Performance of Hadoop, which is a distributed data processing framework for big data analysis, is affected by several characteristics of each node in distributed cluster such as processing power and network bandwidth. This paper analyzes previous approaches for heterogeneous hadoop clusters, and presents several requirements for distributed node clustering in small-and-medium sized hospitals by considering computing environments of the hospitals.
