냉장고의 이상소음에 관한 사례연구 (Measurement and Control of Abnormal Sound for Refrigerator)

  • The household reftigerator's noise which is closely related with resident environment can hardly be evaluated its sound quality using the Korean Standards. Radiation characteristics of compressor noise consist of tonal noise in low frequency range and, or narrow band noise in high frequency range. In this study, measuring method for detecting the abnormal and low-level noise in high frequency band is presented, and control method for its reduction is proposed. After installing wall which is similar to living condition, we determined a major concerning frequency band of noise. It can be found the directivity of high frequency noise radiated from compressor by using experiment and analysis. According to isolation of noise transfer path, remarkable noise reduction is achieved.

  • The conventional methods for noise control attempts to simply reduce the level of product noise. This has been common practice in noise control industry. However, it is very straightforward common sense that we have consider human perception on noise. In this paper, we propose a noise control strategy which takes into account the subjective perception of product noise. We especially has concentrated on a refrigerator noise. The proposed method is composed of 3 steps. Firstly, the actual refrigerator noise signal is measured. Then, to make the sample noise set for subjective assessment the noise signal is edited in 1/3 octave bands. Finally, we establish a strategy of refrigerator noise control by using the results from subjective assessment of these noise signals

  • Sound measurement experiments and Finite Element analysis are carried out to understand the characteristics of the noise propagation and structure of the compressor in this research. Noises generated from the compressor on various conditions are measured to classify the transmission path of the noise propagation with respect to the sources. The experiment results show that noises attributed to the shell bending resonant modes accounts fer a major portion of the spectra and that damping spring of the discharge pipe have a damping effect on some frequency range. Constructions of the FE model show that the curvature of the upper shell is very important for the resonance of the upper shell. And, present upper shell has a difficult shape to be manufactured. And, in this research, shape optimization is conducted to increase the strength of the shell for the reduction of the noise. Sound spectrum of noise from the modified compressor verified the sound reduction.

주거 공간내 냉장고 소음의 정상상태 평가 (Evaluation of indoor refrigerator noise in steady-state condition)

  • The characteristics of refrigerator noise recorded in anechoic chamber was investigated in condition of a the real living room and a kitchen. To predict the noise propagation in an apartment unit, room acoustic simulation software was used. It was found that the noise level in the real living room was $4\sim8dB$ higher than in the anechoic chamber. When a noise barrier and absorption materials were used on the rear wall and floor, the noise level reduced up to $3\sim4dB$. In addition, when the subjective evaluation of auralized refrigerator noise was undertaken using headphone, it was revealed that 21dB (A) is the allowable sound pressure level of 95% satisfaction.

  • 축류팬(axial fan)은 냉장고, 에어컨 등 가전제품 뿐 아니라, 자동차, 중장비 등에 가장 널리 사용되는 팬의 형태로 제품의 성능과 소음에 많은 영향을 미치는 요소이다. 그러나 설계, 목업(mock-up)개발, 풍동실험 등의 시간과 비용적인 면에서 비효율적인 방법을 통해 개발이 이루어지고 있다. 따라서 범용으로 사용가능한 팬 설계 프로그램과 설계 인자의 입력만으로도 성능을 예측하여 개발에 소요되는 시간과 비용을 줄일 수 있는 시스템의 개발이 필요하다. 본 연구에서는 슈퍼컴퓨터를 활용하여 축류팬 형상변수의 변화에 대한 성능과 소음을 미리 해석한 후 그 결과를 지식형 데이터베이스로 저장하고, 팬 자동설계 시스템과 결합한다. 즉, 축류팬 설계 변수를 입력하면 팬의 형상을 CAD 파일로 자동 생성할 뿐 아니라, 지식형 데이터베이스을 기반으로 하는 데이터 마이닝 기법을 이용하여 해당 모델의 성능과 소음을 예측한다.

  • Acoustical noise at low frequency range (below 500Hz) of refrigerator result from fans which are inside of the refrigerator. In generally to evaluate and apply to refrigerator it is recommended that acoustical noise and fluidic performance of the fan were measured simultaneously. To do that twin-room type anechoic wind tunnel was needed. But constructing twin room type anechoic wind tunnel was very expensive and estimation of small refrigerator fan performance was not easy. So in this paper we composed anechoic fan tester. A successful noise and performance measurement was performed using the anechoic fan tester. Existing 22 kinds of refrigerator fan were investigated and mapped into one database. Refrigerator duct pressure resistance were measured and reflected into the fan database to find out appropriate fan. Through the application of fan database, the refrigerator became less noise compared to current one and these data shows what is the best way to reduce fan noise.

  • 전기에너지를 기계에너지로 변환하는 기존의 브러시 있는 직류모터보다 고효율, 저소음, 제어용이성, 고내구성 특징을 가지는 브러시 없는 직류(BLDC: Brushless Direct Current)모터의 응용분야의 확대로 지속적으로 성장하는 BLDC 모터시장에 대응하기 위한 에너지 절감형 BLDC 모터구동시스템 기술개발이 절실히 요구되는 실정이다. 이에 따라, 본고에서는 일반차량 및 PHEV(Plug-in Hybrid Electric Vehicle)/EV(Electric Vehicle) 등 그린자동차용, 에어컨, 세탁기, 냉장고 등 그린백색 가전용, 산업용 건조기, ATM, 자판기 등 그린산업 기기용 BLDC 모터에 적용할 수 있는 에너지 절감기능이 우수한 BLDC 모터, BLDC 모터구동회로, 고전압 파워소자구동회로, 고전압 파워소자로 구성된 BLDC 모터구동시스템 기술동향에 대해 논의하고자 한다.

냉장고 동작부품의 소음특성 분석을 통한 감성품질 개선 (Evaluation of Sound Quality for Ergonomic Design of Movable Parts in a Refrigerator)

  • We propose a method for evaluating sound quality quantitatively to develop high-level home appliances (HA). Generally, a refrigerator has diverse movable parts such as slider, drawer, and folding shelf. Therefore, an engineering treatment to control the noise quality is considered as one of key technologies for a higher level refrigerator. Among the movable parts, we have selected a folding shelf as an example, which is commonly setup inside of a home refrigerator for increasing space convenience, to control the noise quality. However, it is known that its noise level is very high comparing to other movable parts when folding or unfolding actions. In order to evaluate and compare the noise quality, we have tested different eighteen models, and have suggested an impact sound quality index (ISQI) based on subjective evaluation data obtained experimentally by thirty two evaluators. The ISQI was formulated using three sound quality elements (noise peak, raising time, impact duration) to determine psycho-acoustic properties. Through this work, we developed an evaluating process and ISQI that was verified the usefulness by comparing the test results of personal perceptions given by evaluators with the prediction value of ISQI. We showed a good relations between them, so we believe that the proposed method and ISQI can be utilized to control of the noise quality of HA effectively.

  • A weighted sound pressure level has been used to evaluate sounds test or sound quality test for a refrigerator up to present but the customer had different satisfactions of refrigerator sounds with different listening position. It means that there was a sound directivity caused by a position of fan or compressor. In this paper, we proposed a sound power spectrum guideline that represents total sound of refrigerator.
