  • 시설경비 절감과 국가에너지 절약사업에 일조하기 위해 최근 5년 전부터 에너지절약프로그램을 적극적으로 시행하고 있는 SK텔레콤은 오는 12월에 준공할 예정인 대전 둔산지점 신사옥과 10월 준공예정인 을지로 신사옥 본사에 자사에서는 최초로 ESCO사업을 활용한 에너지 절약설비를 설치했다. 대전 둔산 지점은 ESCO자금 7억2천5백만원으로 빙축열냉방시스템을 설치하고 본사에는 29억8천6백만원을 투입해 흡수식 냉동기, 빙축열시스템을 설치한 것. 이 설비로 인해 각각 연간 약 1억원과 4억원의 에너지절감효과를 기대하고 있다. 부분축열방식을 도입한 대전 둔산지점을 찾았다.

  • 시설원예는 노지원예와 달리 인위적인 환경조절을 통하여 주년안정생산이 가능하여야 하고 단위면적당 생산성을 증대시키면서 품질향상을 극대화시키는 것이 생산의 목표이다. 따라서, 주년안정생산을 위하여 고온기에 작물생산이 가능하도록 시설내 고온환경을 조절해야할 것이다. 고온환경을 조절하기 위한 냉방방식에는 자연환기 및 팬을 이용한 온실내부의 공기를 치환하는 방법, 온실내ㆍ외부에 차광망을 설치하여 온실내로 유입되는 일사량의 일부를 차단하는 방법, 수분증발을 통하여 온실내부의 잠열을 빼앗는 증발냉각방식, 히트펌프나 에어컨을 이용한 기계적인 방법이 이용되고 있다.   • An electrical bill is one of the various factors that influence on energy use of residents. This study focused on electrical bills and searched that whether electrical bills affect resident behavior of operating air conditioner and their controlled indoor climate. We surveyed two groups for field study ; the one is residents who live in a studio apartment in Seoul and they are charged for electric as energy consumption they used, and the other is residents who live in a university dormitory and they are not charged for their energy consumption. We measured how long they used the air conditioner for cooling, on/off temperature of air conditioner and room temperature for these two groups. Residents were interviewed about their cooling needs, decisions about when to turn on their air conditioner and so on. We found that dormitory group has much amount of time used the air conditioner than studio apartment group and there are differences of room temperature between two groups when they turn on or off air conditioner. The result shows that perception of money affects resident behavior of operating air conditioner and their acceptable thermal range.

An Experimental Study on the Optimal Operation Condition of an Air-Cooler using Thermoelectric Modules (열전모듈을 이용한 냉방기의 최적 운전조건에 관한 실험적 연구)

  • This article presents the optimal operation of an air conditioner using thermoelectric modules. A prototype of air conditioner using four thermoelectric modules has been designed and built. The system performance with evaporative cooling for hot side of the module are studied in detail for several operating parameters, such as input power to the thermoelectric module, fans and pump. It is found that the optimal input voltage to the thermoelectric module and pump is selected for the best system performance based on the cooling capacity and the COP at a given operating condition. It is also found that both the cooling capacity and COP of a system is increased with an increase in the input power to fans. The cooling performance could be improved when the ambient temperature is increased and the relative humidity is decreased since the evaporative cooling at the hot side has been increased.

  • The main objective of this paper is to investigate the performance characteristics of a $CO_2$ air conditioning system for fuel cell electric vehicles (FCEV). The present air conditioning system for FCEV uses the electrically driven compressor and electrically controlled expansion valve for $CO_2$ as a working fluid. The experimental work has been done with various operating conditions, which are quite matching the actual vehicle's driving conditions such as different compressor speed and high pressure to identify the characteristics of the system. Experimental results show that the cooling capacity and coefficient of performance (COP) were up to 6.3kW and 2.5, respectively. This paper also deals with the development of optimum high pressure control algorithm for the transcritical $CO_2$ cycle to achieve the maximum COP.

  • 본 논문은 태양열이용 냉난방시스템 중에서 실제로 액체흡수제를 재생하는 재생탑 내의 충진층에 있어서의 열 및 물질전달의 실험치와 이론적 해석에 의한 결과치와의 비교를 나타내고 있다.특히 물질전달의 극대화를 위하여 충진층 내에서 공기와 흡수제의 접촉면적을 크게 할 필요가 있는데,이를 위해서 본 실험에서는 직경이 3cm인 플라스틱제 충진재를 사용하였으며, 흡수제로는 저농도의 염화리튬 수용액이 사용 되었다. 충진층 내에서의 최적 높이를 예측하기 위하여 해석의 모델인 실험장치를 직접 제작하여 실험을 수행하였고, 이론 해석에 있어서 체적 열전달을 고려한 정상상태를 모델화하여 해석하였다. 이 결과, 충진층 내에서 실험치와 이론적인 계산치가 잘 일치함을 알 수 있었으며, 충진층의 높이가 2m 이상인 경우에는 높이에 따른 재생량의 차이가 없어서 없음을 알 수 있었다.

The Cooling Performance Enhancement of a Variable Speed Heat Pump Using Gas Injection Technique (가스인젝션 기술을 적용한 공기열원 가변속 열펌프의 냉방성능 향상에 관한 연구)

  • In this study, the improvement of cooling capacity by applying gas injection technique in a two-stage heat pump using R410A was experimentally investigated. A twin rotary type compressor with gas injection was applied to the heat pump system. The optimum refrigerant charge for the injection and the non-injection cycles was selected to achieve the maximum COP at the cooling standard condition. The injection cycle showed less optimum refrigerant charge than that of the non-injection cycle. The cooling performances of the injection and the non-injection cycles were measured and compared by varying compressor frequency from 40 to 90 Hz. The cooling capacity of the gas injection cycle was 1.6% -11.3% higher than that of the non-injection cycle. The COP of the gas injection cycle was 13.7% to 28.9% higher than that of the non-injection cycle at the same cooling capacity. The heat pump system showed stable operation after 30% of the injection valve opening.

Numerical Analysis on the Thermal Flow by a Thermoelectric Module within the Cabin of a Commercial Vehicle (상용차 캐빈 내의 열전모듈에 의한 열유동 수치해석)

  • The steady three-dimensional numerical analysis on the thermal flow using standard k-${\varepsilon}$ turbulence model was carried out to investigate the air cooling effect of a cooler on the cabin for a commercial vehicle. Here, the heat exchanging method of this cabin cooler uses the cooling effect of a thermoelectric module. In consequence, the air system resistance of a cooler within the cabin is about 12.1 Pa as a static pressure, and then the operating point of a virtual cross-flow fan considering in this study is formed in the comparatively low flowrate region. The discharging air temperature of a cooler is about $14{\sim}15^{\circ}C$. Moreover, the air cooling temperature difference obtained under the outdoor cabin temperature of $40^{\circ}C$ shows about $7{\sim}9^{\circ}C$ in a driver resting space and about $9{\sim}14^{\circ}C$ in the front of a driver's seat including the space of a driver's foot.

Thermal performance of solar cooling and hot water for the demonstration system (태양열 실증 시스템의 냉방 및 급탕 일일 열성능)

  • This study describes thermal performance of solar cooling and hot water for demonstration system with ETSC(Evacuated tubular solar collector) installed at Seo-gu art center of Kwangju. For demonstration study, a reading room with about 350㎡ was heated and cooled with the solar system. The system was consisted of ETSCs, storage tank, hot water supply tank, subsidiary boiler, subsidiary tank, absorption chiller, chiller storage tank, and cooling tower. The results of the experimental study indicated that the total solar energy gain as daily performance on a sunny day (August 25, 2007) with total daily radiation of $606\;W/m^2$ was 671 kWh, the collecting efficiency of 55%. In the case of supplies to heat source more than $83^{\circ}C$, cooling time operated by solar was driven 8.8 hours, cooling energy generated by solar system was 179 kWh and the solar cooling fraction was 79.2%, and hot water supplied with surplus heat source by the solar system was 201 kWh.
