Entomopathogenic fungi can be used to control a variety of sucking and chewing insects, with little effect on beneficial insects and natural enemies. Approximately 170 entomopathogenic fungal insecticides have been registered and used worldwide, with the recent focus being on the mode of action and mechanism of insect-fungal interactions. During the initial period of research and development, the industrialization of entomopathogenic fungi focused on the selection of strains with high virulence. However, improvement in productivity, including securing resistance to environmental stressors, is a major issue that needs to be solved. Although conidia are the primary application propagules, efforts are being made to overcome the limitations of blastospores to improve the economic feasibility of the production procedure. Fungal transformation is also being conducted to enhance insecticidal activity, and molecular biology is being used to investigate functions of various genes. In the fungi-based pest management market, global companies are setting up cooperative platforms with specialized biological companies in the form of M&As or partnerships with the aim of implementing a tank-mix strategy by combining chemical pesticides and entomopathogenic fungi. In this regard, understanding insect ecology in the field helps in providing more effective fungal applications in pest management, which can be used complementary to chemicals. In the future, when fungal applications are combined with digital farming technology, above-ground applications to control leaf-dwelling pests will be more effective. Therefore, for practical industrialization, it is necessary to secure clear research data on intellectual property rights.
This study was conducted to discover new phytotoxins which may be used as lead molecules for the development of new herbicides. A total of 187 endophytic fungi were isolated from 11 plant species, which were collected from 8 locations in Korea. Their herbicidal activities were screened in vivo by herbicidal and duckweed bioassays after they were cultured in potato dextrose broth and rice solid media. Both fermentation broth and solid culture extract of Gliocladium catenulatum F0006 isolated from red pine (Pinus densiflora) showed 70% herbicidal activity only against cocklebur (Xanthium strumarium) out of the 10 weeds tested. Solid culture extract of F0034 isolated from arrowroot (Pueraria thunbergiana) exhibited 20 to 100% herbicidal activities against all of the weeds. Especially, shattercane (Sorghum bicolor), barnyardgrass (Echinochloa crus-galli), large crabgrass (Digitaria sanguinalis), and fall pauicum (Panicum dichtomiflorum) were sensitive to the solid culture extract of F0034. In addition, solid culture extract of F0043 isolated from red pine displayed 20% to 70% herbicidal activities only against 5 grass species, but not against 5 broad-leaf plant species. On the other hand, as the results of duckweed assay, 8 fermentation broths showed 100% growth inhibitory activity at concentrations less than 5.0% of culture supernatants and 12 solid cultures had a potent inhibitory activity against duckweed growth. A toxic metabolite was purified from the solid cultures of G. catenulatum F0006 by repeated column chromatography and bioassay. It caused a phytotoxic syndrome only on cocklebur out of the 10 weeds tested; it completely killed cocklebur seedlings at $500\;{\mu}g/ml$ and showed 85% herbicidal activity against cocklebur at $100\;{\mu}g/ml$. The molecular weight of the toxic metabolite is 238 daltons and its structure determination is underway.
Retroviruses genes have been inserted into the human genome for millions of years. These retroviruses are now inactive due to mutations such as deletions or nonsense mutations. After mutation, retroviruses eventually became fixed in the genome in their endogenous forms and existed as traces of ancient viruses. These retroviruses are called endogenous retroviruses (ERVs), with the human form known as human endogenous retrovirus. HERV cannot become a fully active virus, but a number of viral proteins or even virus particles are expressed under various conditions. Compared to endogenous retroviruses, some exogenous retroviruses are still infectious and can threaten human life. Among these, human immunodeficiency virus (HIV) is one of the most well-known and best-studied. Recent studies have shown some elements of HERV were activated by HIV infection and interact with HIV-derived proteins. In addition, many studies have attempted to use HERV as vaccination against HIV infection. This review will describe the regulation and interaction between HERV and HIV infection and mention the development of vaccines and therapeutic agents against HIV infection by using HERV elements.
I develop a matching model in which risk-averse workers face borrowing constraints and make a labor force participation decision as well as a job search decision. A sharp distinction between unemployment and out of the labor force is made: those who look for work for a certain period but find no job are classified as the unemployed and those who do not look for work are classified as those out of the labor force. In the model, the job search decision consists of two steps. First, each individual who is not working obtains information about employment opportunities. Second, each individual who decides to search has to take costly actions to find a job. Since individuals differ with respect to asset holdings, they have different reservation job-finding probabilities at which an individual is indifferent between searching and not searching. Individuals, who have large asset holdings and thereby are less likely to participate in the labor market, have high reservation job-finding probability, and they are less likely to search if they have less quality of information. In other words, if individuals with large asset holdings search for job, they must have very high quality of information and face very high actual job-finding probability. On the other hand, individuals with small asset holdings have low reservation job-finding probability and they are likely to search for less quality of information. They face very low actual job-finding probability and seem to remain unemployed for a long time. Therefore, differences in the quality of information explain heterogeneous job search decisions among individuals as well as higher job finding probability for those who reenter the labor market than for those who remain in the labor force. The effect of the extended maximum duration of unemployment insurance benefits on the aggregate labor market and the labor market flows is investigated. The benchmark benefit duration is set to three months. As maximum benefit duration is extended up to six months, the employment-population ratio decreases while the unemployment rate increases because individuals who are eligible for benefits have strong incentives to remain unemployed and decide to search even if they obtain less quality of information, which leads to low job-finding probability and then high unemployment rate. Then, the vacancy-unemployment ratio decreases and, in turn, the job-finding probability for both the unemployed and those out of the labor force decrease. Finally, the outflow from nonparticipation decreases with benefit duration because the equilibrium job-finding probability decreases. As the job-finding probability decreases, those who are out of the labor force are less likely to search for the same quality of information. I also consider the matching model with two states of employment and unemployment. Compared to the results of the two-state model, the simulated effects of changes in benefit duration on the aggregate labor market and the labor market flows are quite large and significant.

This study empirically analyzes the relationships among the road and traffic experts' personal characteristics, the driving behavior and factors being expected to have an effect on the satisfaction about roundabout operation. The factors are drawn and grouped through the principle component analysis to clarify driving environment satisfaction on roundabout operation. Each group is named as personal attribute, driving behavior attribute, and satisfaction. After the variables are refined by confirmatory factor analysis, satisfaction model is developed with personal attribute and driving behavior attributes as exogenous variables and roundabout driving awareness and emotion attributes as endogenous variables. As a result, driving satisfaction of roundabout operation is directly influenced by delay reduction, safety improvement, capacity increase, sight improvement, severity accident reduction, and bicycle convenience and indirectly gender, age, driving time, and driving experience. Law obeyance, driving concession, traffic sign obeyance, and interposition do not statistically shows significant on satisfaction. As a result of Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP), the turning radius of geometry and the driving behavior are important elements for roundabout safety.
This study was to analyze structural equation modeling of organizational culture, human resource management and organization performance in the private security corporation. To attain the goal of the study described above paragraphs, the employee of private security corporation located in Seoul, 2006 year were set as a collected group. Then, using the cluster random sampling method, finally drew out 300 peoples and analyzed 250 peoples in total. The material collection device was the brochure named . The validity of instrument was confirmed by confirmatory factor analysis(CFA) The result of reliability check up was here below; Chronbach' ${\alpha}=.724$. To analyze materials, correlation analysis, CFA, SEM were used as statistic analysis techniques. The conclusion based on above study method and the result of material analysis are follows; First, organizational culture influences on the human resource management. Second, organizational culture influences on the organizational performance. Third, human resource management influences on the organizational performance. Particularly, organizational culture influences indirectly on organizational performance throughout human resource management. Human resource management is very important variable mediating organizational culture and performance.
The aim of this study was to examine whether health promoting behavior was dependent on perceived health status and health attitude in adults, and whether health concern mediated the relationships among these variables. Structural equation modeling was applied to test a model in which perceived health status and health attitude were considered as exogenous variables while health concern as a mediating variable. The participants were 292 adults aged from 20 to 59 and completed the self-report measures. The results of the structural equation model showed that perceived health status and health attitude were positively associated with health concern and health promoting behavior. Health concern mediated the relationships between perceived health status and health promoting behavior, and also health attitude and health promoting behavior. The findings suggest that enhancing health attitude may play important roles to promote health promoting behavior in adults, and the development of various health education for adults in schools, work place, and health and medical organization might promote positive health attitude and health concern. Health education program in connection with preventive health examination also might contribute to activate health promoting behavior.
This study is to develop an evaluation index for infection control and to verify its validity by examining each set of weighted data collected from 121 infection control personnel at dental hospitals who agreed to the preliminary survey and advisory. The study was conducted from 14th December, 2010 to 31st January, 2011, and PASW Statistics 18.0 and AMOS 5.0 had been used for the statistical data analysis. As a result of the study, five evaluation factors with 21 sub-indicators have been identified at structural level, eight evaluation factors with 32 sub-indicators at processing level, and one evaluation fact with five sub-indicators at resulting level, total 14 evaluation factors with 58 sub-indicators throughout all levels. The path analysis added on the result that 'standard precautions ($x_1$)', 'infection control support system ($x_2$)', 'internal and external characteristics ($x_3$)' are exogenous variables that affect on other variables, and 'standard infection control ($y_1$)','Organization equipment management handwashing ($y_2$)', 'environmental infection control ($y_3$), 'personal protective equipment ($y_4$)', 'waste and laundry management ($y_5$)' are endogenous variables that are infulenced by others. The standardized metrics are more needed than anything else when examining on infection control. This study attempts to develop proper dental infection control metrics adequately adjusted for domestic circumstances, and therefore to contribute to effective systematic management and decision-making in infection control.

This study conduct for 200 farmhouses who didn't accept new technology like mulberry Protected Cultivation. Through research model combined Innovation diffusion theory(IDT) and Technology Acceptance Model(TAM), it analysed which factors affect for new technology acceptance and diffusion. To verify relations between external factors which affect new technology acceptance and diffusion by endogenous variables such as perceived usefulness, perceived ease of use and perceived riskiness, with external factors, mothed used to analyse it. Most of adopted variables were showed positive results except for individual innovativeness and reliability. Based on the results of these analyses, we can suggest rapid. First, technique diffusion agents should have heighten the level of expertise and technology, and build up the network to solve difficulties with technique supply with mulberry farmhouses. Secondly farmhouses of mulberry outdoor cultivation showed positive attitude protected cultivation, but negative attitude it bacause of the burden of facilities investment. Thus, it is needed to capital investment for individual farmhouse hold. Finally, through cultivation technology education, field trip about mulberry protected cultivation, we can diffuse technology receive for negative farmers.
This study empirically analyzes changes in production patterns of farmers by agricultural disaster insurance. The aim of this project is to achieve stability of farm management by paying insurance in case of a natural disaster. However, it causes farmers to change production patterns in the direction of increasing production, and leads the crop price to drop. This can be explained by producers' risk reduction through the disaster insurance. The empirical analysis is based on IV approach with using two stage least squares method. The first stage estimates by difference-in-differences methodology indicate that the production of insurable crops increases more about 80,000ton on average than that of non-insurable crops. In addition, to solve the endogeneity problem caused by general supply and demand model, I use the first stage estimates and find that the price index of the crops drops about 2.3% according to the production increase by 10,000ton. The credibility of these results is also attained by various robustness checks. These findings suggest that it is necessary for government to analyze the whole economy which consists of producer and consumer welfare when it determines the policy. Besides, it implies that it is essential to develop a new market to cope with the unintended effect.
