주가(株價)와 날씨 - 한국 주식시장에서의 실증분석 -

  • 본 논문에서는 날씨가 좋은 날의 주식수익률이 날씨가 나쁜 날의 주식수익률보다 높다는 이른 바 날씨효과가 우리나라 주식시장에 존재하는 지의 여부를 검증하였다. 본 논문에서 발견된 실증분석 결과는 다음과 같이 요약될 수 있다. 첫째, 날씨가 좋은 날과 날씨가 궂은 날의 주식수익률의 차이분석에서는 전체표본기간동안 날씨효과가 존재하였다. 그러나, 주식시장 장세별로 보면 날씨효과는 주가변동성이 높은 상승기와 침체기에 나타났을 뿐, 주가변동이 낮은 안정기와 회복기에는 나타나지 않았다. 둘째, 비동시거래효과, 계절효과, 그리고 요일효과 등을 통제하고 순수하게 날씨 효과만을 검증한 회귀분석에서도 차이분석에서 보다 미약하지만 날씨효과가 존재하였으며, 이는 상승기에 집중되었다. 본 논문에서 발견된 실증분석 결과는 우리나라 주식시장의 정보적 효율성을 기각하는 새로운 증거로 해석될 수 있으며, 주식투자자들의 효율적 투자전략 수립에 의미있는 시사점을 제공할 수 있다.

  • This study has been developed in order to provide a visualization of weather information system that users are capable of effective understanding on Android. The visualization of weather information is not expressed by number. It is the easiest way to express information with two or three dimensional of media based on the temperature, wind, rain, yellow dust, thunderstorm and amount of sunshine. What here shows, is by targeting current weather, weekly-weather and particular day's weather which is exactly same as general weather expression and informed by Google API. Now, let's examine how to analyze Android in order to manage it. That users are capable of effective understanding of weather information on Android.

  • 기계를 잘 다루지 못하는 사람들은 스마트폰을 활용할 때 어려움을 겪는다. 따라서 기계에 서툰 사람뿐 아니라 날씨를 확인하기 힘든 바쁜 현대인들이 날씨를 시각적으로 좀 더 쉽게 확인하고, 필요한 용품을 미리 챙겨서 날씨에 대비할 수 있도록 한다. 그뿐만 아니라 사계절이 없는 나라의 사람들에게 다양한 계절을 경험할 수 있게 해준다. 터치스크린을 이용해서 사용자가 원하는 나라를 선택하면 날씨 정보가 화면에 나타나고, 날씨 박스에도 시각적으로 표현이 된다. 날씨 박스로는 인형 소품을 이용해 계절을 알려주고, 조명을 이용해서 황사, 미세먼지 그리고 낮과 밤을 나타내고, 효과음을 이용해서 비 또는 천둥을 표현한다.

  • In this capstone design, weather information using Web API (Application Programming Interface) was obtained from the web and based on the information, a realistic weather displayer was made that enables users to acquire weather information more conveniently and intuitively. To implement this, weather information data according to the region is retrieved through a open API providing weather information. Based on this data, the combination of LED, submersible pump, and humidifier module realized weather effect such as rain, fog, thunder, cloudy, and sunny. You can get weather information from various regions via WiFi and get real-time weather information by retrieving data after a single weather information expression routine. In addition to Wi-Fi, we have also tested the basic performance that enables users to express the desired weather effect by enabling weather expression through Bluetooth communication.

The Effect of Weather and Season on Pedestrian Volume in Urban Space (도시공간에서 날씨와 계절이 보행량에 미치는 영향)

  • This study empirically analyzes the effect of weather on pedestrian volume in an urban space. We used data from the 2009 Seoul Flow Population Survey and constructed a model with the pedestrian volume as a dependent variable and the weather and physical environment as independent variables. We constructed 28 models and compared the results to determine the effects of weather on pedestrian volume by season, land use, and time zone. A negative binomial regression model was used because the dependent variable did not have a normal distribution. The results show that weather affects the volume of walking. Rain reduced walking volume in most models, and snow and thunderstorms reduced the volume in a small number of models. The effects of the weather depended on the season and land use, and the effects of environmental factors depended on the season. The results have various policy implications. First, it is necessary to provide semi-outdoor urban spaces that can cope with snow or rain. Second, it is necessary to have different policies to encourage walking for each season.

Designing Forward Markets for Electricity using Weather Derivatives (날씨파생상품을 이용한 전기선물시장 설계)

  • This paper shows how weather derivatives can be used to hedge against the price risk and volume risk of purchasing relatively large amounts of electricity. Our specific approach to designing new contracts for electricity is to focus on the return over a summer season rather than on the daily levels of demand and price. It is shown that correct market signals can be preserved in a contract and the associated financial risk can be offset by weather options. The advantage of combining a forward contract with a weather derivative is that the high prices on hot days or when the temperature is high reflect the underlying high cost of producing power when the load is high and that the combined contract with a weather derivative substantially reduces the volatility of the return.

  • This study examines the strategy of using literary works to effectively present the emotions, narrative, and characters of a drama through the drama "I'll Visit You When the Weather is Good" (2020). The drama uses poetry to effectively show the internal conflicts of the characters, allowing the viewers to understand the characters much more closely. It also shows the narrative of relationship change and growth between the characters through the narrative of a fairy tale. On the other hand, by showing still cuts of the characters' diaries in each episode, it creates a lyrical effect, as if watching the drama is like reading a literary work. In this way, the drama "I will visit you when the weather is nice" actively utilizes literature to help viewers relate to the narrative of growth and healing and experience it as their own, thus creating a three-dimensional image of the healing effect of literature.

Weather Classification and Fog Detection using Hierarchical Image Tree Model and k-mean Segmentation in Single Outdoor Image (싱글 야외 영상에서 계층적 이미지 트리 모델과 k-평균 세분화를 이용한 날씨 분류와 안개 검출)

  • In this paper, a hierarchical image tree model for weather classification is defined in a single outdoor image, and a weather classification algorithm using image intensity and k-mean segmentation image is proposed. In the first level of the hierarchical image tree model, the indoor and outdoor images are distinguished. Whether the outdoor image is daytime, night, or sunrise/sunset image is judged using the intensity and the k-means segmentation image at the second level. In the last level, if it is classified as daytime image at the second level, it is finally estimated whether it is sunny or foggy image based on edge map and fog rate. Some experiments are conducted so as to verify the weather classification, and as a result, the proposed method shows that weather features are effectively detected in a given image.

  • The number of hospital admissions for pneumonia tends to increase annually and even more, pneumonia, the fifth leading causes of death among elder adults, is one of top diseases in terms of hospitalization rate. Although mainly bacteria and viruses cause pneumonia, the weather is also related to the occurrence of pneumonia. The candidate weather variables are humidity, amount of sunshine, diurnal temperature range, daily mean temperatures and density of particles. Due to the delayed occurrence of pneumonia, lagged weather variables are also considered. Additionally, year effects, holiday effects and seasonal effects are considered. We select the related variables that influence the occurrence of pneumonia using penalized generalized linear models.
