A New Early Maturing Satsuma Mandarin Cultivar, 'Haryejosaeng' (온주밀감 신품종 '하례조생' 육성)

  • A new early maturing satsuma mandarin (Citrus unshiu Marc.) 'Haryejosaeng' was developed as a nucellar seedling selection of 'Tachima Wase' (C. unshiu Marc.) that was crossed with C. natsudaidai Hayata at the National Institute of Subtropical Agriculture in Jeju island in 1992. The 'Jegam ga No. 2', a first selection from the seedlings fruited in 2001 was finally named "Haryejosaeng" through field evaluation trials at three locations in Jeju island from 2003 to 2004. 'Haryejosaeng' produces seedless fruit maturing in early November, and has higher soluble solids and lower acidity than 'Miyagawa Wase', the leading early-maturing satsuma mandarin cultivar in Jeju island. Fruit weight is moderate at about 80~90 g and its shape is compressed-oblate globose with a light orange color. The rind thickness of about 2 mm provides easy peeling. The flesh shows light orange colored and contains 10 to 11 Brix and 1 to 1.1% acidity when mature. Tree shows vigorous growth and spreading thornless twigs. Alternate bearing is similar to 'Miyagawa Wase'. 'Haryejosaeng' is susceptible to citrus scab disease and melanose, but resistant to citrus canker.

  • "Green King" is a new mini kiwifruit variety developed at the National Institute of Subtropical Agriculture (NISA), RDA in 2005, which was an edible fruit without peeling. This variety was selected from seeds obtained from the cross breeding between Actinidia chinensis cv. "Apple Sensation" and A. arguta in 1998. Seedling and line selections were conducted from 1999 to 2002, and characteristic trials were carried out from 2003 to 2004. The branch of "Green King" sprouts strongly and the color of leaf is slightly dark green. The shape of fruit is cylindric and the color of peel is green or yellowish green without hair. The average weight of fruit is 15.9 g. The core is small and soft, the pericarp is light green. Soluble solids concentration is $15.4^{\circ}Brix$. The fruit is sweet with slightly acid taste, containing total acid 1.3%, and the yield is higher over twice than that of A. arguta. The content of vitamin C is higher than that of A. arguta. The harvesting time is from middle October. This variety can be planted in the central and southern region of Korea.

A Study on Chinese Characters Play of Edo Period in Japan by Comparison with the Pattern of Tungp'o(東坡体)'s Characters Play and Paza(破字), the Method to Make an Analysis of Chinese Characters; Focused Nanji and Iruiimyo (동파체(東坡体)·파자(破字)와의 비교를 통해 본 일본근세 한자문자유희 - 난지(難字)·이루이 이묘(異類異名)를 중심으로 -)

  • In this study, I examined the relationship between the pattern of Tungp'o (東坡体)'s characters play, Paza(破字) and Nanji(難字), Iruiimyo(異類異名) the Chinese characters play, developed in the Edo period in Japan. I found out the following. First, Nanji and Iruiimyo's method of Chinese character transformation is like Tungp'o(東坡体)'s characters play and Paza(破字), that is to make an analysis of Chinese character. For example, to extend or shorten to character's length, and to increase or reduce the character's size. And, I also found out there is no block type characters play in Nanji and Iruiimyo. Second, I also found that the similarity of the method of Chinese character transformation between the pattern of Tungp'o(東坡体)'s characters play, Paza(破字) and Nanji(難字), Iruiimyo(異類異名). The method of to flip character (180 degrees) and to letting character lie down (90 degrees) is very similar each other. But there is no method to make incline of character (45 degrees) in Nanji and Iruiimyo. Third, I found that the method to extract part of character also exists in Chinese and Japanese characters play. And, I also found that the method to decompose characters in half from the pattern of Tungp'o(東坡体)'s characters play, but I can't find this method from Nanji and Iruiimyo. To decompose characters in half is very like the method of paja. So, we can understand that Nanji and Iruiimyo is located in the middle stage of the pattern of between Tungp'o(東坡体)'s characters play and Paza(破字).

Electrical Surveys for Mapping Leachate in Nanji - Do Landfill Site (난지도 일대의 침출수 양태 조사를 위한 전기 비저항 탐사)

  • Electrical soundings and profilings were conducted for mapping the leachate in the region of Nanji - Do Landfill site. The results of electrical surveys conducted in the landfill area show that the basal leachate is formed at the height about 30 m above the mean sea level and that there is abundant floating leachate over the basal leachate. The surveys conducted around the landfill reveal that the groundwater which may be contaminated by the leachate from the landfill flows to the Han River. The top of the basement rock in this area has been severely affected by polluted groundwater. The layer which is thoroughly saturated with leachate in this region has the very low resistivity value below 10 ohm - m and this low resistivity value indicates that the groundwater and geology are severely contaminated by the leachate and wastes of the landfill.

A Study on the Actual Vegetation of Nanji-do for Restoration of Ecosystem after Stabilization Construction (난지도 안정화공사 이후 생태계 복원을 위한 현존식생에 관한 연구)

  • Nanji-do is an island in Seoul, the area is 272ha, and in which gad was piled up waste discharged from Seoul metropolitan for 15 years(form March 1978 to March 1993). The volume of waste is 92, 000, 000m$^{2}$. The actual vegetation area of Nanji-do is 191ha, and the area of woody plant is 31ha. The rest area is covered by herbaceaus plant. In actual vegetation area of woody plant, Robinia pseudoacacia community and Salix pseudo-lasiogyne community are 83%. The soil pH is alkaline, though general soil pH is acid in Seoul. There is no relation with soil condition and actual vegetation. The result of this study, actual vegetation of Nanji-do don't help the establishment of vegetation restoration after soil stabilization construction. And so following a countermeasure is proposed. 1) Selection of adequate species by an experiment of planting pioneer species, native species, and dietary species 2) Establishment of an adequate planting plan and development of slope stabilization method by planting of native species 3) Establishment of a restoration plan of animal ecosystem by survey for animal ecosystem

  • 현재 반입이 중지된 난지도 매립지에 공원조성이나 하수처리장등의 시설을 설치하는등 매립지를 효율적으로 이용하려는 많은 계획이 진행되고 있다. 그러나 이같은 계획을 수행함에 알서 매립토의 성분을 분석하여 이를 토대로 적절한 대책이 마련된 후에 계획이 수행되어야 할 것이다. 따라서. 본 논문에서는 현재 설치되고 있는 난지 하수처리장 부지에 대하여 매립토의 조성성분 및 침출수의 성분을 분석하고 분석결과를 토대로 시설설치에 따른 토양오염의 가능성을 최소화 할 수 있는 대책수립의 기본자료로 제공하고자 하였다. 이를 위하여 대상지역의 매립토에 대하여 이물질의 중량비와 함수량 및 입도분석을 실시하였고 아울러 침출수의 오염도를 분석하였다.

  • 난지도 매립지는 매립충의 불균질성과 고온의 침출수 및 가스의 흐름이 동시에 복합적으로 일어나는 현상 때문에 수리지질학적으로 매우 복잡한 지역이다. 난지도의 수문층서단위 조사와 디스크-장력 침투계(Disc tension Infiltrometer)로 불포화대 수리 특성을 추정하였으며 가스 거동 현상을 이해하기 위해 지온을 측정하였다. 매립지 주변의 지하수위 변화를 조사하기 위해 양수정과 다중-수위관측정(Multi-Level Monitoring Well)에서 수위변화를 관측하였다. 불포화대 수리특성과 기상자료를 바탕으로 매립지로의 순침투량을 추정하였다. 이것을 근거로 총 침출수 발생량을 추정하였으며, 기저 지하수면 상부에 분포하는 포화 침출수대, 즉 부유침출수의 생성 메카니즘에 대한 연구도 수행하였다.

  • 본 연구는 Matlab GUI 언어를 기반으로 제작된 수질관리모형(WAQUMURIN; Water QUality Management program for Urban RIver Networks)의 개발 및 적용, 검증을 통한 수질분석을 목적으로 둔다. 서울한강수계를 대상지역으로 한강 상류의 팔당댐부터 한강 하류에 위치한 가양대교까지의 오염원 이동에 따른 BOD, T-P 농도를 분석하였다. 한강의 본류를 따라 분류되는 지천들과 한강서울수계 관할 하 4곳의 물재생센터(탄천, 중랑, 서남, 난지)의 배출부하량, 유량, 반응속도상수는 본 모형의 main factor로 설정되었으며 격자화된 데이터의 입출력이 가능토록 하였다. 6곳의 수질측정망(암사, 구의, 잠실, 똑도, 보광, 노량진, 영등포, 가양) 지점을 기준으로 실측치와 모형의 모의결과를 비교함으로써 정확도를 검토하였다. 이는 기존의 사용법이 어려운 수질모형의 한계를 깬 간단한 입출력 방식으로 비전문가들 또한 사용이 가능하며 예측 모형의 단순화라는 점의 연구 목적에 있다.
