Impact Analysis of Printed Circuit Boards Using Finite Element Method (FEM을 활용한 회로기판의 충격 해석)

  • 본 연구에서는 먼저 낙하 충격을 받는 전자 제품을 수학적인 모델링을 행하 므로서 낙하 충격시 제품이 받게되는 충격력을 정량화하였고, 전자 제품내 많은 부품들의 낙하충격에 대한 동특성해석의 일환으로 핵심 부품인 PCB(printed circuit board)를 해석하였다. PCB 해석을 위하여 유한요소법을 사용하였고, PCB에 작용하는 half-sine pulse의 속도 변화에 다른 가속도 응 답 및 최대 충격가속도, 주기의 변화에 다른 PCB의 가속도 응답을 해석하였 다. 제시된 해석 기법은 낙하충격에 대비한 적절한 electric component의 layout및 최적의 PCB 취부조건등의 결정을 가능케 함으로써, 설계단계에서 낙하 충격을 고려한 PCB설계가 될 수 있도록 그 활용 방안을 제시하였고 반복된 낙하충격 실험을 줄일 수 있으므로 경비 절감 및 개발 소요기간도 절감할 수 있다.

Development and Application of Drop Impact Tester for Aerospace Structures (항공우주구조물 낙하충격시험기 개발 및 응용)

  • In this study, a drop impact tester was developed to comprehensively conduct basic testing and academic research on the drop impact characteristics of aerospace structures. A drop tester enables accurate assessment of the dynamic stresses and deformations that occur when an aircraft collides with the ground, thereby enabling the verification of important design factors, such as safety and mechanical strength. The drop tester consists of an electromagnet to attach and drop the test object, a crane to adjust the drop height of the test object, and a drop support structure for vertical drops. Numerical analysis of the drop test object for the test was performed, and basic tests were performed using the drop impact tester. Through the analysis and test results, the structural shape of the landing gear was analyzed, and the behavior of each part was evaluated.

  • 배 포장용 골판지 상자의 자유낙하 실험을 통하여 완충재로써의 골판지 상자에 대한 충격력을 분석하기 위한 시스템을 구성하고 계측 및 분석용 컴퓨터 프로그램을 작성하여 자유낙하에 의한 배 골판지 포장상자의 충격력을 분석하였으며, 배 골판지 포장상자의 낙하높이에 따른 배의 손상정도는 낙하높이가 높아짐에 따라 손상이 심하고 낙하높이가 낮은 25cm에서도 진동에 의한 손상지수보다는 훨씬 큼을 알 수가 있었다. 이것은 자유낙하에 의한 골판지의 충격력이 배에 전달되어 멍이 발생하는 것으로, 진동에 의한 변위 증폭 및 압상에 의한 손상보다 낙하 충격력에 의한 손상이 더 큰 것을 알 수가 있었으며, 배 골판지 포장상자의 적재 및 하역 작업시에는 낮은 낙하높이에서도 포장상자를 떨어뜨리지 않도록 주의를 하여야 할 것이다.

Impact Behaviors of Stitched Sandwich Composites Under Low Energy Impact Using Drop Weight Impact Tester (고낙하추 충격시험기를 이용한 스티칭된 샌드위치 복합재의 저에너지 충격거동 연구)

  • This study investigated the impact behaviors of the stitched sandwich composites under the low energy impact by the use of drop weight impact tester. These sandwich composites condidted of the glass fabric faces with a urethane foam core. The upper face and the lower face were stitched to combinr through the core thickness direction using the polyester reinforcements. Four types of the stitched sandwich composites, each having a different core thickness, were tested to determine the effects of the core thickness. The impact conditions were changes with the variations of the mass and drop height of the impact tup. The test results showed that the core thickness and the impact condidtions such as the drop height and the mass of the impact tup affected the impact force, the contact time, and the strain behaviors of the stitched sandwich composites. The stitched sandwich composites are able to avert the damage and also maintain the structural integrity even thouth the presence of the damage owing to the through-the-thickness reinforcements. However, it is important to improve the wetting ability of the stitched reinforcements so that the conventional structures are substituted for the stitched sandwich composites effectively.

  • The CA (Control Assembly) of an SFR has a CRA(Control Rod Assembly) with an inner duct and control rod. During an emergency situation, the CRA falls into the duct of the CA for a rapid shut-down. The drop time and impact velocity of the CRA are important parameters with respect to the reactivity insertion time and the structural integrity of the CRA. The objective of this study was to investigate the dynamic behavior and integrity of the CRA owing to a drop impact. The impact analysis of the CRA under normal/abnormal drop conditions was carried out using the commercial FEM code LS-DYNA. Results of the drop impact analysis demonstrated that the CRA maintained structural integrity, and could be safely inserted into the flow hole of the damper under abnormal conditions.

  • 본 연구에서는 다트식 낙하충격 시험에 있어서 인성의 강소성 플라스틱 재료 의 준정적 선형의 점탄성 모델이 구성되어 해석되었다. 완화계수함수, E(t)=E$_{f}$ +(E$_{o}$ -E$_{f}$ )e$^{-t/tR}$ 형태의 점탄성 재료의 수정된 Maxwell요소모델을 근거 로 충격속도, 파괴에너지, 임계응력등의 중요변수들의 상대적 종속성이 근사계산으로 평가되었다.

  • When emulsion explosives(1kg/cartridge) are loaded into a long vertical borehole at open blasting site, they undergo an Impact corresponding to 117.6J of shock energy. After shocking. the crystallization of emulsion nay happen immediately. Furthermore, it nay cause a desensitization, arising from increase in the density of emulsion explosive by the breakage of sensitizer. In this paper, some experimental work was performed using PVC pipe equipment(50mm diameter and 12m lengths) to investigate the effects of loading impart of emulsion explosive. It is shown that detonation energy decreases up to 26% of the normal state value and this effect is less than 3% of the total performance of emulsion explosives in borehole blasting.

  • In a PWR rod cluster control assembly(RCCA) for shutdown is released upon action of control rod drive mechanism and falls down through the guide thimble by its weight. Drop time and impact velocity of the RCCA are two key parameters with respect to reactivity insertion time and the mechanical integrity of fuel assembly. Therefore, the precise control of drop time and impact velocity is prerequisite to modifying the existing design features of the RCCA and guide thimble or newly designing them. During its falling down into the core, the RCCA is retarded by various forces acting on it such as fluid resistance caused by the RCCA movement, buoyance and mechanical friction caused by contacting inner surface of the guide thimble, etc. However, complicated coupling of the various forces makes it difficult to derive an analytical dynamic equation for the drop time and impact velocity. This paper deals with the development of a computer program containing an analytical dynamic equation applicable to the Korean Fuel Assembly(KOFA). The computer program is benchmarked with an available single control rod drop tests. Since the predicted values are in good agreement with the test results, the computer program developed in this paper can be employed to modify the exiting design features of the RCCA and guide thimble and to develope their new design features for advanced nuclear reactors.
