A Study on Interacting $CH_4$-Air and $H_2/N_2$-Air Premixed Counterflow Flames (상호작용하는 메탄-수소 예혼합 대향류화염에 관한 연구)

  • Using a counterflow burner, downstream interactions between $CH_4$-air and $H_2/N_2$-Air premixed flames with various equivalence ratios has been experimentally investigated. Flame stability maps on triple and twin flames are provided in terms of global strain rate and equivalence ratio. Lean and rich flammable limits are examined for methane/air and hydrogen/nitrogen/air mixtures over the entire range of mixture concentrations in the interacting flames. Results show that these flammable limits can be significantly modified in the presence of interaction such that mixture conditions beyond the flammability limit can be still burn if it is supported by stronger flame. The experiment also discusses various oscillatory instabilities in a stability map.

  • This paper describe a control scheme for direct torque control of BLDC Motor. The proposed Luenberger Observer scheme calculate flux errors in order to control the torque and flux more correctly. This proposed control scheme has not the requirement of a separate current regulator and proportional-integral (PI) control of the flux and torque, there by improving transient performance and also has the advantage of less torque ripple in steady state with a fixed switching period. The effect of proposed method has been proven by simulations.

  • In this paper, $NO_2$ gas detection characteristics of Octa-dodecyloxy copper-phthalocyanine films prepared by LB method was investigated measuring the electrical conductance of these films. The electivity characteristics of these LB films exposed to $NO_2, NO, and SO_2$ gas was also investigated. Conductivity activation energy of these films as a function of temperature was obtained.

  • Organic semiconductors based on vacuum-deposited films of fused-ring polycyclic aromatic hydrocarbon have great potential to be utilized as an active layer for electronic and optoelectronic devices. We have fabricated organic thin film transistors(OTFTs) and discuss electrical characteristics of the devices. For the gate dielectric layer, OPTMER PC403 photoacryl(JSR Co.) was spin-coated and cured at 220$^{\circ}C$. Electrical characteristics of the device were investigated, where the photoacryl dielectric layer thickness and pentacene active layer thickness were about 0.6$\mu\textrm{m}$ and 800${\AA}$.

  • Electroluminescent(EL) devices based on organic materials have been of great interest due to their possible applications for large-area flat-panel displays. They are attractive because of multicolor emission low operation voltage. In this study, several Eu complexes such as Eu(TPB)$_3$(Phen) and Eu(TPB)$_3$(Bpy) were synthesized and the photoluminescence(PL) and electroluminescence (EL) characteristics of their thin films were investigated by fabricating the devices having a structure of glass substrate/ITO/TPD/Europium-complexs/Alq$_3$/Al, where aromatic diamine(TPD) was used as an hole transporting and Alq$_3$ was used as an electron transporting materials. It was found that the photoluminescence(PL) and electroluminescence(EL) characteristics of these Europium complexes were dependent upon the ligands coordinated to Europium metal. Details on the explanation of electrical transport phenomena of the structure with I-V characteristics of the OLEDs using the trapped-charge-limited current(TCLC) model will be discussed.

  • The NO$_2$gas-detection characteristics were investigated using the functional organic Langmuir-Blodgett(LB) films of Copper-tetra-tert-butylphthalocyanine(CuTBP). The optimum conditions for a film deposition were obtained through a study of $\pi$-A isotherms, and the deposited film status was confirmed by the ellipsometry measurements. It was found that at room temperature there are increments of electrical conductivities by 40 times, 25 seconds of response time and 40 seconds of response time when the films were exposed to the 200ppm NO$_2$gases. We hale observed an increase of the electrical conductivities as the density of NO2 gas increases.

  • Langmuir-Blodgett(LB) technique is one of the ways of fabricating organic ultra-thin films. It is well known that It has the advantage to control the alignment and orientation of the molecules in the films. Metallo-phthalocyanines(MPcs) are sensitive to electron affinitive toxic gaseous molecules, such as NO$_2$, NO, SO$_2$. MPcs are thermal, optical, mechanical, chemical stable. Therefore, it is interesting to prepare phthalocyanine LB films containing copper as a chemical sensor for NO$_2$ and SO$_2$ gas and test their sensitivity to these toxic gases. In this study, thin films of Octa-dodecylosy copper-phthalocyanine were prepared by LB technique. $\pi$-A isotherm, transfer ratio, UV-VIS. spectroscopy of these films were investigated. Also current-voltage(I-V) characteristics of these was auto investigated.

  • Electroluminescence(EL) devices based on organic thin layers have attracted lot of interests because of their possible application as large-area display-emitting display. One of the problems of such devices is lifetime of the cell, where the degradation of the cell is partially due to the crystalliyzation of organic layers. In large part, this problem can be solved by using a multilayer device structure prepared by vapor deposition technique. In this study, blue light-emitting multilayer organic electroluminescence devices were fabricated vsing Poly (9-vinylcarbaEole) (PVK) and 2- (4-tert-butylphenyl)-5-(4$^{#}$-bis-phenyl) 1,3,4-oxadiazole (PBO) as hole trasport and electron transport material, respectively, where trim(8-hyd roxyquinolinate) aluminum (Al $q_3$) was used as a luminescenct material. A cell structure of glass sub- strate/indume-tin-oxide(ITO)/PCK/Al $q_3$/PBD/Mg:In was employed. Blue emission peak at 510nm was observed with this cell structure.e.

  • This paper considers enhancing the robustness of a MIMO(Multi-Input Multi-Output) predictive control system. The characteristic polynomial matrix of the closed-loop is shown to consist of two factors $P_c$ and T, where $P_c$ is determined by the tuning knobs of the predictive controller and T is an observer or prefilter polynomial matrix. The robust stability condition is derived in terms of $P_c$ and T. A guideline on the selection of T is then presented for open-loop stable processes.
