  • 우리나라의 대표적인 대기오염물질의 하나인 SO$_2$는 국가정책의 일환으로 지속적인 단속과 규제로 인해 꾸준히 감소하는 추세이다. 하지만, 연안공업도시인 울산지역의 경우 SO$_2$의 농도가 다른 지역에 비해 상대적으로 높게 나타나 여전히 문제가 되고 있는 실정이다. 울산지역에서 SO$_2$고농도 현상이 빈번히 발생하는 이유로, 도시를 감싸고 있는 산들과 많은 산업시설 및 도시빌딩으로 인해 복잡 지형의 형태를 가지고 있으며 특히, 인근 해양의 영향과 함께 나타나는 뚜렷한 국지기후 특성 등을 들 수 있다(Kondo et al., 1979; Entwistle, 1997).(중략)

  • 최근 동아시아의 발원지에서부터 편서풍을 따라 이동해 오는 황사는 중국의 북동부 공업지대에서 방출되는 중금속 오염물질까지 함께 섞여 수송되므로 그 피해는 훨씬 심각하다. 지난 20년 동안 황사에 대한 많은 연구가 발원지의 기원, 수송 및 침적 메카니즘, 그리고 황사의 광학적 특성과 물리적 특성의 정성분석을 중심으로 이루어져 왔다. 이들 연구는 주로 위성, 라이다. 원격탐사 그리고 기타 지표관측 자료를 이용하여 황사의 광학적 두께 및 화학성분 분석, 일기도를 이용한 기상장 분석, 그리고 중규모 기상 모델과 황사의 장거리 수송에 집중되어 있었다(정관영과 박순웅, 1997; Murayama et al., 2001). 부산 지역의 SO$_2$ 농도 변화 특성에 관한 고찰 (On the Characteristics of the SO$_2$ Concentration Variation in Pusan, Korea)

  • We considered that characteristics of SO$_2$, concentration level and relations of the meteorological parameters and high pollution concentration from the data measured 7 air quality continuous monitoring stations during 4 years, from 1990 to 1993 in Pusan. The SO$_2$ concentration level showed decreasing trend yearly, it was maximum in Winter, minimum in Summer. The time of SO$_2$ peak concentration lagged from seashore to land because of break-down of the nocturnal inversion layer and seabreeze. Ihe correlations of daily SO$_2$, value between various air quality continuous monitoring stations were highest between Beomcheondong and Meongryundong, lowest between Daeyeondong and Sinpyeongdong because of difference of air Pollution emission sources characteristic. The meteorological parameters affecting SO$_2$ concentration level were minimum temperature, relative humidity, wind speed and air pressure. The SO$_2$ high pollution($\geq$95ppb) occurred almost in Winter, particulaly in such day showing lower wind speed and higher air pressure. Elementary SO$_2$ high Pollution Predictor were high pressure system and stability of lower atmosphere.

부산 지역의 오존 농도 특징과 기상 인자에 관한 연구 (On Characteristics of Surface Ozone Concentration and Important Meteorological Parameters in Pusan, Korea)

  • We considered that characteristics of surface ozone continuous and important meteorological parameters from the data measured 7 air quality continuous monitoring stations during 2 years (1990, 1993) in pusan. The diurnal ozone variation showed a primary peak near 1500LST and a secondary peak of the DP(double peaked) pattern. The episode day was defined when an ozone peak higher than 60 ppb was observed at least one station. The frequency of episode day was 100 (298 hours, 69 days). The frequency of the episode day was higher at Meongryundong and Daeyeondong than other sites and highest in August under control of pacific subtropical high. The high temporatant meteorological parameters accompanying the high episode days. The favorable synoptic environment accompanying ozone episode was distributed to 7 different pattern. These pattern can be taken as a nesessary but not an absolute indicator for predicting the occerrence of an episode.

  • 최근 국외 여러 연구에서 지역 및 종관규모의 기류움직임과 연계된 오염물질 수송이 풍하측 도시 또는 배경지역의 오존농도 상승에 큰 영향을 미침을 밝히고 있다 (Lam et al, 2001; Chan and Chan, 2000). 한반도 역시 중국과 동아시아 주요 국가의 빠른 경제성장으로 인해 대기질의 변화에 중요한 요인으로 장거리 수송의 영향을 고려하지 않을 수 없다. 특히 중국의 북경을 중심으로 한 황해연안에서 배출되는 다량의 오염물질은 (Streets and Waldhoff, 2000) 편서풍대의 풍하측에 위치해 있는 우리나라에 직접적으로 영향을 주며, 초근 심각한 대기환경문제로 부각되고 있는 오존농도 상승에도 기여하게 된다.   • In recent years emissions of pollutants from ship sources, especially NOx and SOx, is controlled by IMO(International Maritime Organization). The emissions of pollutants from ship sources in Pusan is considerably large, because the number of ship's coming and going in Pusan port is larger than that of other ports in Korea. Since Pusan is under the strong influence of land-sea breezes, pollutants emitted from ship sources will be transported into the inland. Control of emissions from ship sources is required to devise effectively the policy of air quality management in Pusan. Therefore this paper considered the present condition of total pollutant sources and emission characteristics including in coastal urban area.

부산지역에서의 오염물 배출량 산정에 관한 연구 (A Study on the Emission Estimate of Pollutants in Pusan)

  • In order to accurately predict air pollution concentration according to reduction of air pollutant emission, a numerical model is needed. And the total emission amount of air pollutants should be estimated to explain the air pollution phenomena. The characteristics of the emission amount from area, line, and point sources in Pusan were studied by using emission data during one year (1992). The result showed that the annual total emission amount of pollutant is about 299,744 tons in Pusan. The emission consists of 31.8% of $SO_2$, 48.4% of CO, 4.6% of HC, 11.0% of NOx and 4.1% of TSP, as well as 52.1% of line, 24.1% of area and 23.7% of point sources. The result also showed that emission amount becomes larger in winter than that of the others.

부산지역 지표 바람장의 특성에 관한 연구 (Study on the Characteristics of Wind Field at Ground Level around Pusan)

  • In order to investigate horizontal wind field in the boundary layer around Pusan area, wind speed and wind direction measured at 14 AWS(Automatic Weather Station), 1997, was used. The wind direction at PRM(Pusan Regional Meterological Office) was showed that southwest and northeast wind dominated for spring and summer, northeast wind for fall and northwest for winter. Anticline flow was showed at \`Gaekumm\` which is located between Mt. Backyang(641m) and Mt. Yumkwang(503m) and affected on wind field at \`Pusanjin\`. The low wind speed and various wind direction was represented at the basin topography, \`Buckgu\`, \`Jeasong\`, \`Ilkwang\` and \`Kijang\`. The annual mean wind speed at 14 sites, 2.5ms(sup)-1, was lower than that measured at PRMO, 3.9ms(sup)-1. The wind direction analysis showed that the case of same direction in compare with that measured at PRMO is about 54% and case of opposite direction is about 12%. Annual and seasonal mean windrose showed wind direction is affected by not only synoptic weather state but also topography.

대기오염물질의 장거리 수송과 열적저기압의 관계 (Relationship between Thermal Low and Long-Range Transport of Air Pollutants)

  • The atmospheric conditions and the transport mechanism of long-range transport of air pollutants from coastal area to inland area were investigated using regular meteorological data and air pollution data obtatined from the southeastern area of Korea. Daytime temperature over the inland area(Taegu) was higher than that over the coastal area(Pusan) and the temperature difference of about 5~6$^{\circ}C$ when the thermal low most fully developed and the sea level pressure over Taegu was lower than that over Pusan by about 4~5hPa at that time. Therefore this low pressure appeared to the thermally induced low. Air mass polluted from the coastal area during the morning period was transported inland area, at first by the sea breeze and by the large scale wind system toward the thermal low generated in the mountainous inland region. This was explained by the fact that the concentration of air pollutants over Taegu increased throughtout the late afternoon.

선박배출 오염물질의 영향을 고려한 부산지역 대기질 모델의 개발 (The Development of Air Quality Model Considering Shipping Source in Pusan Region)

  • Air quality modeling about coastal urban region such as Pusan shoud be consider shipping source emmited from ships anchoraging and running. It has been proved at our previous studies that the ratios of air pollutants emission amount in coastal area to inland are 12.2% for NO$_2$ and 11.7% for $SO_2$ and the air qualify of coastal urban area consierably counts on ships. Also the dispersion pattern of the all pollutants followed local circulation system in this region. Therefore this study has been developed air quality model which can describe the formation, transport, transformation and deposition processes of air pollutants considering shipping source. Currently, restriction for emission amount of ships does not exist, so our study will be useful to set the omission standard and for devising air quality policy in coastal urban region.
