빵꾸나도 주행할 수 있는 타이어가 출현

  • 영국 던로프의 기술진이 개발한 공기입타이어의 제3의 혁명이라고 할 수 있는 "던로프, 토오탈모오빌리티, 타이어"의 공개 실험이 행해졌다. 답정을 해도 바아스트롤 해도 공기없이 주행단속하길 300Km, 스피이드도 내면 100Km는 갈수 있다고 한다. 뿐만 아니라 승차감도 좋다고 하니 말하자면 "마법의 타이어"라고 할 수 있겠다. 그리고 보도관계자등 300명의 면전에서 그 타이어를 파열시켜서 주행해 보였다. 거기에는 마법은 아니고 새로운 타이어의 세계를 크게 느끼게 하는 기풍이 있었다. 그래서 본지는 테스트의 성공, 견학자의 높은 평가를 고려해서 기업의 마법인 연출(운영)과 기술(테스트)을 밐스해서 그날의 인기 타이어를 추적해 보았다. 주최자는 가우(sumitomo)고무공업, 일본던로프이다. 사실은 꼭 듯든 그대로였다.

A Study on the Value of Kanga as an Ethos of the Swahili Culture (스와힐리 문화의 기풍으로써 캉가의 가치)

  • The goal of this study is to analyze the value of Kanga as an ethos of the Swahili culture. The theoretical background of the research method was the analysis of the domestic and foreign literature, journals, and research data from various internet sites related to the subject, and the conclusion was drawn based on these studies. With the spread Pan-Africanism, the interest in African ethos has become a source of inspiration for contemporary fashion. Moreover, as a symbol of Swahili culture in East Africa, Kanga has been developed by embracing its own diverse cultures, The unique feature of Kanga is that it can easily be transformed created ceaselessly and creatively. Consequently, the following results were obtained based on the theoretical content. Firstly, as a representative of Women's Voice, Kanga serves as an outlet for the voices of women coming from a poor social status under the political background in East Africa. Secondly, as a Reliable Advocate, Kanga performs the positive functions as a medium of communication through its traditional usage and distinctive arrangement of clothes. Thirdly, as a Versatile Messenger, the uniqueness of Kanga with the external elements in most interestingly and active mannerly, and it has become the value of communication channel which clearly inspired the fashion designers. I believe that it will be interesting and meaningful to study the strategies on the social role of Kanga in the future which has started receiving more attention in the 21st century. And it can be said that Kanga's unique identity lies in the attraction and value which influences contemporary fashion.

Improvement of Surface Quality of a Stamped Sheet Metal Member with CAE (CAE를 활용한 박판 성형 부재의 면 품질 개선)

  • This paper is concerned with improvement of surface quality of a sheet metal member in the stamping process. The CAE procedure of the stamping process is utilized in order to investigate cause of surface troubles and to improve surface quality. A complicated shape of the sheet metal member can induce surface troubles such as wrinkles because of insufficient tensions force and non-uniform contact of a blank sheet with tools. This paper proposes two guidelines such as a change of tool shape and added draw-beads on the tool surface in order to increase tension forces and to induce uniform contact. The proposed guidelines are verified with the CAE of the stamping process. The CAE results show that the changed shape of tools and added draw-beads can reduce the amount of wrinkles and improve surface quality.

  • This paper replaces an conventional 300-austenitic stainless steel sheet to a 400-ferritic stainless steel for the cost reduction of a pulsator cover of a washing machine. However, ferritic stainless steel has poor formability in comparison with austenitic one. The low formability of ferritic steel results in problems during stamping such as fracture, wrinkling, shape inaccuracy and so on. Design modification of the stamping tool is carried out with the aid of the finite element analysis for multi-stage stamping process. The simulation results show that fracture occurs on top of the product while wrinkles are generated by the excess metal near the wing part. Modification of the initial stamping die is performed to improve metal flow and to eliminate problems during the stamping process. Simulation with the modified design fully demonstrates that safe forming is possible without inferiorities.

  • This paper concerns the progressive die design for an automotive bracket part aided by the computer simulation in order to eliminate the inferiority such as the crack. The computer simulation of the progressive forming process is utilized in order to investigate cause of the cracks. This paper proposes a new guideline for the die design which modifies intermediate shapes and adds intermediate forming stages in progressive forming process. The effectiveness of the proposed design is verified by the computer simulation. The simulation result shows that the modified die design for the progressive forming process can eliminate the crack and improve quality of the automotive bracket part.

  • This study is performed to investigate shearing characteristics for vibration damping sheet metals which are bonded with dissimilar sheet metals. A shearing tool set is designed and manufactured and shearing tests with the tool set are conducted at varying the magnitude of clearance in order to analyze the shearing characteristics. The shearing characteristics are analyzed for burr height and shape of sheared faces with respect to the magnitude of clearance between the punch and the die. The shearing test results demonstrate that optimum clearance is $8{\sim}12%$ of the sheet thickness at the shearing of the vibration damping sheet metals and the shearing direction has to be controlled deriving occurrence of the burr at the thick sheet of the vibration damping sheet metals.

  • 미국 국립표준원(NIST), 전기전자공학회(IEEE) 등의 주도로 진행중인 스마트그리드 프로젝트에서는 미래 전력시스템을 위한 통신망으로 인터넷 기반의 단일화된 통신망을 유력한 후보로 검토하고 있다. 인터넷기반의 전력통신망은 최선노력서비스(best-effort-service)를 기본으로 하기 때문에 종단간 지연을 보장할 수 없으며 패킷 손실이 발생할수 있다. 따라서 기존 전력통신망이 보장해주던 높은 통신 품질과 보안성을 보장해주지 못한다. 본 논문에서는 현재 그리고 미래의 전력관련통신서비스가 인터넷 기반의 통합망에서 사용가능한지 검증하여 본다. 이를 위해 현재의 전력시스템에서 사용되는 통신 서비스들로부터 품질, 보안성 동의 요구조건을 도출하고 이를 바탕으로 스마트그리드 환경에서 추가 될 통신 서비스들이 미래 인터넷 기반통합망에서 사용가능한지를 검증하여 본다. 마지막으로 현재 인터넷 기술로 만족하지 못한 요구조건을 수용하기 위한 해결방안을 제시한다.

Experimental and Analytical Researches on Mechanical Properties Related to Formability of AZ31B Alloy Sheet (AZ31B 합금판재 성형관련 기초물성 실험 및 해석 연구)

  • In this paper, tension tests and formability tests are performed to construct a database related to mechanical properties and the formability of the AZ31B Mg alloy sheet. A forming test with a hemi-spherical punch is conducted at varying temperatures to establish a forming limit diagram. In order to verify the applicability of the analysis using the conventional flow hardening model, a finite element analysis is performed on the hemi-spherical punch forming process and the results are compared with experimental ones. The study investigates problems involving a computational analysis that does not consider flow softening of the magnesium alloy at elevated temperatures.

  • This paper is concerned with a forming analysis of front side members and the application of the forming effect in crash analysis of auto-body. Drawbead restraining forces are calculated with ABAQUS/Strandard in order to identify the boundary condition in forming process. Forming analysis with equivalent drawbead is carried out with LS-DYNA3D. In order to demonstrate the validity of the forming analysis, quantitative comparison of the thickness variation between the real product and the numerical simulation result is carried out. Forming histories obtained from the forming analysis are utilized as the initial condition of the crash analysis for accurate assessment of the crashworthiness.
