특집 - 남극 기지 건설 현황 및 전망 - 혹독한 자연환경을 극복한 세종기지, 국내 건설사(史)에 한 획 그어 - (제2남극기지 건설 올 하반기 가시화)

  • 지난 1988년 2월 남극반도 남쉐틀랜드 군도의 킹조지섬과 넬슨섬으로 둘러싸인 맥스웰만 연안에 건설된 남극세종과학기지. 우리나라는 지구상의 유일한 비오염 지역인 극지 연구를 위해 세종기지를 건설하고 연구활동을 벌이고 있다. 세종기지 건설은 현대그룹의 현대건설, 현대엔지니어링, 현대중공업이 수행했다. 세종기지는 과학사적 의미와 함께 혹독한 자연환경을 극복하고 건설에 성공했다는 점에서 국내 건설사의 한 페이지를 장식하는 시설물이다. 이제 제2남극대륙기지 건설이 추진 중이다. 현재 건설 후보지 정밀 조사 중으로 정밀조사가 끝나면 건설사 선정 등 사업이 본격적으로 진행될 예정이다. 제2남극대륙기지 건설에 어떤 건설사 및 설비건설업체가 참여할지 주목된다. 한국해양연구원 극지연구소가 제공한 자료와 건설사 취재 등을 토대로 세종과학기지 건설과정을 살펴보고 제2남극대륙기지 건설계획을 전망해본다.

Accuracy Analysis of Cadastral Control Points Surveying using VRS case by Jinju city parts (가상기지국을 활용한 지적기준점 관측 정확도 분석 -진주시 일원을 중심으로-)

  • After development of GPS in the 1960's, the United States released SA(Selective Availability) in 2000 and then the GPS has become commercialized to the present. The result of repeatedly developed GPS observation, the GPS real-time observation methods is RTK which basically always needs two base stations and has a fault of the accuracy decreasing as the distance between a mobile station and a receiver is increasing. Because of these weakness, VRS method has come out. VRS(Virtual Reference Station) generates the imaginary point near mobile station from several observatory datum of GPS, sets the accurate location of mobile station, thus shows high reliability and mobility. Now, the cadastral datum point is used with azimuth, repetition, and graphical traversing method for traverse network. The result of measurement indicates many problems because of different accomplishment interval given point, restrictions on the length of the conductor, many errors on the observations. So, this study did comparative analysis of the cadastral datum points through VRS method by Continuously Operating Reference Station. Through the above comparative analysis, The comparative result between surveyed result with repetition method through total station observed Cadastral Control Points and surveyed result with VRS-RTK has shown that average error of x-axis is -0.08m, average error of y-axis, +0.07m and average distance error is +0.11m.

Generation of Topographic Map Using GeoEye-1 Satellite Imagery for Construction of the Jangbogo Antarctic Station (GeoEye-1 위성영상을 이용한 남극의 장보고기지 건설을 위한 지형도 제작)

  • Construction of the Jangbogo antarctic station was planned, and it requires detailed information on topography of the area around the station. The purpose of this research is to generate the topographic map to construct the Jangbogo antarctic station using the satellite image. To do this, surveying and pre-test of equipment were conducted. In addition, for sensor modeling of the GeoEye-1 satellite image, RPC-bias correction was done, and it showed that at least two control points are required. In generating the map, a 1/2,500 scale was deemed suitable in consideration of resolution of the image and the fact that supplementary topographic surveying would be impossible. In order to provide detailed information on the topography around the Jangbogo station, the digital elevation model based on image matching was created, and compared with GPS-RTK data, accuracy of vertical location about 0.6m was exhibited.

  • 본 연구는 경상남도 창원시 삼각점의 GPS 데이터를 활용하여 오차수준 및 지역적인 특성 등을 종합적으로 분석하여 봄으로써 향후 지적세부측량을 위한 지적기준점측량 수행 시 보다 정확한 성과가 산출될 수 있는 방안을 모색하여 보고자 하였다. 연구결과, 토지조사사업 당시 설치된 삼각점의 경우 삼각점 자체의 자연적 인위적 이동이 없을 경우 대부분 삼각점의 성과가 안정적으로 나타나므로 지적기준점 성과결정시 기지점으로 사용할 삼각점은 토지조사 당시 설치된 삼각점을 우선적으로 선정하여야 할 것으로 판단되었다. 또한 본 연구결과에서 안정적인 성과로 제시된 삼각점을 기준으로 하여 지적기준점의 성과를 결정할 경우 향후 지적기준점이 망실되어 재설치 하더라도 항상 동일한 측량성과를 유지 관리할 수 있을 것으로 보인다.

The Operation Method of Coordinated Multi-point Transmission/Reception in Cloud Base Station (클라우드 기지국에서의 조정 다중점 송수신 운용 방법)

  • Mobile operators are considering a variety of technical measures to cope with the explosion of data while reducing TCO(Total Cost of Ownership) of their networks. In this paper, to investigate the possibility about one of such technical measures, system level simulation to evaluate the performance of the capacity and mobility was performed in cloud base station structure to apply coordinated multi-point transmission and reception. As a result, we find out that system capacity and mobility performance may be improved according to the scale and application area of cloud base station with the operation of coordinated multi-point transmission and reception, and these mutual causality can provide practical guidelines to mobile network's operation.

  • With the improvement of the accuracy of EDM and theodolite, three-dimensional geodetic coordinates can be determinated by means of analytical Intersection & Resection using vector approach. In this paper the accuracy of Resection, Intersection and Multilateration, by which the geodetic coordinates of a unknown point are determinated using the geodetic coordinates, horizontal angles, vertical angles, and slope distances to a known point are analyzed. As a result, it is found that the solution of multilateration method converges into an allowable limit and the method is better than other two methods in accuracy. And it is found that if the known points are over five points, the solution of Resection and Intersection method can also converge into an allowable limit.

  • This paper is designed to put forth a proposal for configuration of an optimized observation network based on GNSS CORS with a view to continued monitoring of crustal deformation in the East-Asian region. For this purpose, a comprehensive analysis of the results of the testing of various forms of GNSS CORS observation network tentatively constructed based on the Asia-Pacific IGS station has confirmed that geometrically arranged minimum five and ten or more reference points and an EAREF, constructed with a baseline length no longer than 2,500km, can produce an optimum outcome. And an EAREF-applied analysis on the effects of the Great Eastern Japan Earthquake of March 2011 shows that there were conspicuous positional movements in Japan and Korea while there was no significant movement in other regions.

A Study on Locational Competitiveness Factor of Inland Logistics Complex in Gangwon (강원영동남부권 내륙물류기지 입지경쟁 요인에 관한 연구)

  • This res arch was conducted to identify a suitable location for an inland logistics complex in Gangwon Province, South Korea and it aims use competitive factors to derive implications from the logistics competitiveness of Gangwon Province. According to Origin-Destination analysis, the most suitable and desirable site for creating the complex was found to be in the Wonju city area. A total of 28 variable were derived through prior study in order to identify the competition factors for the inland logistics complex, As a result of exploratory factor analysis, a total of 16 subfactors were reclassified into four main factors. Analytic hierarchy process(AHP) analysis showed that 'accessibility factors' (0.374) ranked highest in terms of importance, followed by 'reliability factors' (0.358), 'operability factors' (0.166), and 'government policy factors' (0.102). In each category, delivery of goods from the inland logistics complex base to the demand site was found to be the most important factor (0.160).

  • In this paper, we propose a high level design architecture of WCDMA(UMTS) base station modem and synchronization algorithms applied to the proposed architecture. Also analysis of each synchronization algorithm and performance evaluation of fixed point designed modem are shown. Since the target system is base station modem, each synchronization algorithm is designed for its stable operation. To minimize implementation complexity, optimum fixed point design for best operation of synchronization algorithms is performed. We performed symbol level link simulation with fixed point designed modem simulator for data rate of 12.2kbps, 64kbps, 144kbps, and 384kbps. We compared performance results to the minimum requirements specified in 3GPP TS 25.104(Release 5). Extensive computer simulation shows that the proposed modem architecture has stable operation and outperform the minimum requirement by 2 dB. The proposed modem architecture has been applied in the implementation of WCDMA reverse link receiver modem chip successfully.

New Record of Neoclinus chihiroe (Perciformes: Chaenopsidae) from Dokdo, East Sea, Korea (한국 동해 독도에서 채집된 비늘베도라치과(Chaenopsidae) 어류 첫기록종, Neoclinus chihiroe)

  • A single specimen (52.5 mm SL) of Neoclinus chihiroe, belonging to the family Chaenopsidae, was firstly collected from Dokdo, East Sea of Korea on 9 December 2020. This species was characterized by a black spot between the first and the second dorsal spines, and a black spot on upper part of opercular membrane. The species was morphologically similar to N. okazakii, but distinctly distinguished by pectoral fin base without a black dot. This study documents the first record of N. chihiroe in Korean waters and suggests the new Korean name 'Dong-hae-bi-neul-be-do-la-chi' for the species.
