  • A sensor network is composed of a large number of sensor nodes which have sensing, computation and wireless communication capabilities. The sensor node sends such collected data, usually via radio transmitter, to a command center (sink) either directly or through a data concentration center (a gateway). These sensor networks can be used for various application areas such as health, military, home network, managing inventory, monitoring disaster areas and so on. Moreover, owing to the rapid growth of mobile technology, high-performance smartphones are widespread and in increasing cases are utilized as a terminal device. In this paper, we propose a home management system using smartphone and sensor networks.

Accuracy Analysis of Cadastral Control Points Surveying using VRS case by Jinju city parts (가상기지국을 활용한 지적기준점 관측 정확도 분석 -진주시 일원을 중심으로-)

  • After development of GPS in the 1960's, the United States released SA(Selective Availability) in 2000 and then the GPS has become commercialized to the present. The result of repeatedly developed GPS observation, the GPS real-time observation methods is RTK which basically always needs two base stations and has a fault of the accuracy decreasing as the distance between a mobile station and a receiver is increasing. Because of these weakness, VRS method has come out. VRS(Virtual Reference Station) generates the imaginary point near mobile station from several observatory datum of GPS, sets the accurate location of mobile station, thus shows high reliability and mobility. Now, the cadastral datum point is used with azimuth, repetition, and graphical traversing method for traverse network. The result of measurement indicates many problems because of different accomplishment interval given point, restrictions on the length of the conductor, many errors on the observations. So, this study did comparative analysis of the cadastral datum points through VRS method by Continuously Operating Reference Station. Through the above comparative analysis, The comparative result between surveyed result with repetition method through total station observed Cadastral Control Points and surveyed result with VRS-RTK has shown that average error of x-axis is -0.08m, average error of y-axis, +0.07m and average distance error is +0.11m.

  • 고속국도 및 일반국도 인터체인지부의 설계속도를 분석하기 위하여 현재 적용되고 있는 국내의 설계기준 즉, 도로의 구조 시설기준에 관한 규칙 및 도로설계편람, 도로설계요령, 도로설계기준, 국도설계기준을 검토하고, 국외의 설계기준을 참고하여 국내기준과 비교 검토하였다. 고속도로 교통사고 통계(2006)를 통하여 사고 다발지점을 선정, 원인을 분석하고 램프 유형별, 허용속도별 전국의 입체교차로를 대상으로 주행속도를 계측하였으며, 그 결과로부터 입체교차로의 Loop Ramp 접속부의 적정 설계속도를 제안하였다.

Comparative Experiments for the Improvement of NDGPS Signal Quality (NDGPS 관측자료의 품질향상을 위한 비교실험)

  • The DGNSS Central Office operates 17 DGNSS reference stations. Compared to the other DGNSS sites, the TEQC data quality of some sites is poorer. In this study, we tried to find out the causes that degrade the quality of GPS data for the purpose of improving the signal quality of the DGNSS stations. We selected the Chungju station that is the one of those stations with bad data quality. Through the on-site visit, we found that there is no signal-blocking obstacles. In addition to site surveys, we conducted two experiments; simultaneous observation considering environmental factors and comparison test through equipment replacements to check the malfunctioning of GPS equipments. In the simultaneous test results, we realized that environmental factors do not induce any bad effects on the data quality. In equipment replacement experiments, we confirmed that the data quality is of excellent quality when the test receiver was used instead of the original one installed at the site. When we replaced the antenna instead of the receiver, the data quality was bad. Through those two experiments, we concluded that the receiver is the main factor that degrades the signal quality.

  • The 21.4-22.0GHz frequency band is used to broadcast satellite services in Region 1 and Region 3 in frequency distribution area. The use of this frequency band is according to the provision of the resolution 525 of WRC-03, this frequency band broadcasting service system transmits broadband radio-frequency signals. The trend of the Satellite launching plans for an using this frequency band is growing in worldwide. This frequency band requires fairly more transmit power than the Ku-band because of the rain attenuation of this frequency band is very extreme. An appropriable sharing criteria is required for this broadcast service to be operational.

  • 미국, 유럽에서는 315MHz, 433.92MHz를 아마추어 무선국과 공유하여 차량용 주파수로 활용하고 있다. 참고로, 미국 고속도로 안전위원회는 TPMS(Tire Pressure Monitoring System)를 2003${\sim}$2006년 까지 미국 내 생산 차량 및 수입차량에 대해 TPMS 센서 장착을 100% 의무 적용하고 있다. 433.92MHz는 국내에서 이미 아마추어 무선 업무용 주파수로 할당되어 사용되고 있으며, 현재 TPMS 수입차량의 국내 도입을 위한 주파수 분배 및 기술 기준이 마련되어 있지 않은 상황이다. 향후 해외 수입차량의 국내 도입 및 국내 차량의 해외 수출을 고려할 경우 국제 기준에 부합하면서 국내 전파환경에 적합한 주파수 분배 및 기술 기준의 마련이 필요하다.

  • 전파지정기준은 한정된 전파자원을 효율적으로 이용하기 위하여 무선국 허가시 주파수 지정 등에 관한 필요한 사항을 규정하는 것이다. 중요 내용은 국내 무선통신 업무별, 용도별 분배 및 할당한 주파수에 대하여 무선국 개설 허가시 지정(Designation)할 수 있도록 세부용도, 주파수, 전파형식, 공중선전력, 시설자, 사용지역 등의 지정조건에 관한 사항을 정하고 있다 .이에 본 논문에서는 먼저 전파지정에 대한 각국의 현황을 분석하고 국내의 기술기준 규정과의 차이점, 현 규정의 문제점을 분석하여 전파지정 기준의 효율적인 운영에 대한 방법을 제안하고자 한다.

An Evaluation of Korea's 20-Year ODA (한국의 공적개발원조 20년의 평가)

  • This paper aims to assess the effectiveness of Korea's official development assistance (ODA) in terms of improvement in per capita gross domestic product (GDP) of aid recipients, and promotion of Korea's exports and outward foreign direct investments (FDI) to ODA recipients. The assessment has also been done for different groups of aid recipient countries divided by their regional location, income level, and economic freedom. For this purpose, this paper empirically tests the effectiveness of bilateral grants and loans for 163 aid recipient countries during the period of 1990 to 2003. Results show that ODA from Korea had not been able to explain the variations in aid recipient countries' growth in per capita GDP. Provision of aid promoted outward FDI to aid recipient countries during the entire period considered. With respect to exports, provision of aid had facilitated Korea's exports to aid recipient countries, except for the period of 2000~2003. On the basis of the findings, recommendations for future aid policy have been made.

  • The current DGPS technique is many problems that is permission of radio station using RF Wireless Modem, that is influence of geographic obstacle using radio wave, that is frequency interference, that is finiteness of frequency resources. In this paper, we are solved many elements, IM(Interface Module) replaces RF Wireless Modem, we suggest transmission technique of correction message using mobile phone, we researched Interface Module development which is linkage of DGPS receiver and mobile phone. IM can transmit correction message passing RS-232 port and modem communication control. IM of base station is initialized RS-232 port and modem to move station for correction message transmission, IM waited response mode. IM of move station is initialized RS-232 port and modem, IM requests hand shaking to base station, completed connection establishment. Users are worked Differential surveying using receiving correction message between mobile phones.
