융합환경하의 중소기업 육성방향

  • 기술혁신은 끝없이 지속적, 반복적으로 발생하지만, 최근의 기술혁신은 자체적인 혁신의 한계에 직면하고 있는 것처럼 보여진다. 국가경제의 발전은 개별적으로 진행되어 온 기술혁신에 크게 의존하지만, 이제 개별적인 혁신의 한계를 극복하기 위하여 이종간 기술 및 산업융합이 활발하게 모색되고 있다. 융합이라는 새로운 환경은 개별적인 기술이나 산업에 다양한 기회와 위험을 제공하게 될 것이다. 융합이라는 것이 단지 하나의 영역에 머무르는 개념이 아니라 여러 분야에 걸쳐서 대단히 광범위한 영역에서 발생하게 될 것이라는 점에서 그렇다. 이미 초기적인 융합의 현상들은 도처에서 발견되고 있으며, 이제 이를 더욱 확대 발전시키고 심화시켜 나가기 위한 노력들이 진행중이다. 융합을 가속화시키고 심화시켜 나가는데 필요한 요인은 무엇일까? 다양한 방법과 수단들이 거론될 수 있겠지만, 융합 발생의 광역성이라는 측면에서 개인의 창의력이 대단히 중요하다. 제한적인 인간의 역량으로 모든 분야에서 창의력을 발현한다는 것은 쉽지 않기 때문이다. 이러한 관점에서 우리나라 전체 기업의 대다수를 차지하는 중소기업의 역할은 대단히 중요하다. 국민소득 3만불 이상을 달성하기 위해서는 대기업과 중소기업의 육성을 위하여 다양한 정책을 입안하고 집행하여 왔지만, 중소기업의 경쟁력은 아직도 취약한 것이 회피할 수 없는 현실이다. 개인의 역량과 창의력 발현이 중시되는 융합환경에서 중소기업 육성을 위한 정책은 기존의 물적자원 중심의 지원방식과는 달리 다양한 협력네트워크의 구축과 네트워크 기반의 정보 공유 및 활용을 위한 방향으로 전환될 필요가 있다. 정보의 공유와 활용을 통하여 창의적인 아이디어의 발현이 더욱 확대되고 심화될 수 있기 때문이다.

A study on the Effect of Motivation and Creative Work Environment of SME Members on Innovative Behavior : Focused on Individual Absorption Capacity (중소기업 구성원의 동기와 창의적 작업환경이 혁신행동에 미치는 영향 연구 : 개인 흡수역량을 중심으로 )

  • The purpose of this study is to verify the influence of SME members' motivation and creative working environment on innovative behavior and to see differences according to individual absorptive capacity. As a research method for this, 350 copies were collected by requesting a specialized research company for employees who have worked at SMEs for more than a year, and research models and hypotheses were verified with SPSS 28 and Smart PLS 3. As a result of the study, approach motivation and creative work environment had a positive effect on individual innovation behavior, which showed significant differences according to individual absorptive capacity. The implications of this study are summarized as follows. First, for innovative organizational management in SMEs where human resources are more important than physical resources, SMEs need to provide a creative working environment and motivate members to derive positive innovative behavior. Second, innovation behavior differs depending on personal absorptive capacity, and innovation behavior becomes the subject of corporate growth, indicating that various interests and support are needed to increase personal absorptive capacity along with positive motivation for members.

Changes in product innovation strategy reflecting industry evolutionary phases and dynamic capabilities in the Korea Wireless Internet industry (산업진화단계와 동태적역량에 따른 제품혁신 전략의 변화: 한국 무선인터넷 산업을 중심으로)

  • Production innovation capabilities are critical to the survival and growth of firms. This paper investigates industrial dynamics and dynamic capabilities of firms by looking at how an industry evolution process influences firms' product innovation strategy and how dynamic capabilities affect firms' product innovation process. Korea Wireless Internet industry shows a full cycle of industry evolution process including introduction phase, growth phase, maturity phase, and decline phase using by dynamic technological and market changes. 7 listed companies in Korea Wireless Internet industry were selected. We have conducted multiple case studies based upon in depth interviews. Empirical results show that different phases of industry evolution influence firms' strategy of product innovation. Dynamic capabilities are also appears to be very important to the survival and growth of a firm.

A Study on the Core Competency of Specialized Company for Semiconductor Design of Korea (한국반도체 설계전문기업의 핵심경쟁력 역량에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to analyze the level of competitiveness of semiconductor design firms of Korea. The categories of competitiveness are divided into product development, accumulated technology, market-related competencies, human resources, and management system. The sample of 73 semiconductor design companies were used, and the analysis data were gathered by parallel with the questionnaire and the surveyor visited. For respondents, importance of competitiveness factor was prioritized using nominal scale and the competitiveness of each item is expressed based on 100 points. It was confirmed that there was a difference between the order of importance and the actual level of core competence. The ranking of the importance of core competencies is in the order of product development, technical capability, market-related competencies, human resources, and management system. However, in terms of actual competitiveness in each category, human resources were the best, followed by the management level. The product development and technology competencies were in order. The market-related competitiveness was found to be the most urgently raised. In order to increase the market related competitiveness, a new customer base must be developed and the information acquisition capability of the customer, and the ability to analyze their data needs to be improved.

Janus's Two Faces: SME's Performance Through Ambidextrous Organization Capabilities (야누스(Janus)의 두 얼굴: 조직의 양손잡이 역량을 통한 중소기업의 성과관리)

  • The firms must perform both exploitation activities that efficiently use current resources and exploration activities that capture new opportunities. A company that simultaneously performs two opposite attributes, exploitation and exploration activities, is called an 'Ambidexerity Organization' or 'Organizational ambidexterity', which is called the Ambidextrous organization. This study examines whether the key factors of entrepreneurial orientation affect a firm's performance using two-handed strategies, and empirically analyzes the moderating effects of environmental dynamics. The results show that the entrepreneurial orientation has a significant effect on a firm's performance in the Ambidextrous organization. In addition, the moderating effect of environmental dynamics showed a moderating effect on the relationship between entrepreneurial orientation and organizational ambidexterity. This study not only suggests practical implications for SMEs, including venture firms and startups, but also has a significant impact on the relationship between organizational ambidexterity and a firm's performance. It is expected to make academic contributions by introducing variables and analyzing influential relationships.

The Effect of Logistics Company Strategies and Logistics Cooperation on Business Performance (물류기업의 전략과 물류공동화가 경영성과에 미치는 영향)

  • Companies must strengthen core competencies by concentrating resources to secure a competitive edge and operate efficient processes from a company-wide perspective. To this end, it is seeking to concentrate its capabilities and reduce costs by pooling non-essential tasks or facilities that require a lot of time and capital at a strategic level. Therefore, logistics companies should actively utilize logistics coorperate system in order to maximize the use of logistics resources according to the limitations of human resources, physical resources, and time. This study is an empirical analysis of the strategy of logistics companies and the impact of logistics coorperate on corporate performance, and a survey and analysis was conducted on domestic logistics companies. The results of the empirical analysis showed that the cost·relationship·information-oriented strategy of logistics has a positive(+) effect on the financial·operation·strategic performance indicators of companies through logistics coorperate. The results derived from this paper will be used as an important determining factor in establishing a logistics strategy and logistics coorperate to improve the performance of logistics companies and logistics service companies.

A Study on the Factors Influencing Technology Innovation Capability on the Knowledge Management Performance of the Company: Focused on Government Small and Medium Venture Business R&D Business (기술혁신역량이 기업의 지식경영성과에 미치는 요인에 관한 연구: 정부 중소벤처기업 R&D사업을 중심으로)

  • Due to the recent mid- to long-term slump and falling growth rates in the global economy, interest in organizational structures that create new products or services as a new alternative to survive and develop in an opaque environment both internally and externally, and enhance organizational sustainability through changes in production methods and business innovation is increasing day by day. In this atmosphere, we agree that the growth of small and medium-sized venture companies has a significant impact on the national economy, and various efforts are being made to enhance the technological innovation capabilities of the members so that these small and medium-sized venture companies can enhance and sustain their performance. The purpose of this study is also to investigate how the technological innovation capabilities of small and medium-sized venture companies correlate with the performance of knowledge management and to analyze the role of network capabilities to organize the strategic activities of enterprise to obtain the resources and organizational capabilities to be used for value creation from external networks. In other words, research was conducted on the impact of technological innovation capabilities of small and medium venture companies on knowledge management performance by using network capabilities as parameters. Therefore, in this study, we would like to verify the hypothesis that innovation capabilities will have a positive impact on knowledge management performance by using network capabilities of small and medium venture companies. Economic activities based on technological innovation capabilities should respond quickly to new changes in an environment where uncertainty has increased, and lead to macro-economic growth and development as well as overcoming long-term economic downturns so that they can become the nation's new growth engine as well as sustainable growth and survival of the organization. In addition, this study was conducted by setting the most important knowledge management performance within the organization as a dependent variable. As a result, R&D and learning capabilities among technological innovation capabilities have no impact on financial performance. In contrast, it was shown that corporate innovation activities have a positive impact on both financial and non-financial performance. The fact that non-financial factors such as quality and productivity improvement are identified in the management of small and medium-sized venture companies utilizing their technological innovation capabilities is contrary to a number of studies by those corporate innovation activities affect financial performance during prior research. The reason for this result is that research companies have been out of start-up companies for more than seven years, but sales are less than 10 billion won, and unlike start-up companies, R&D and learning capabilities have more positive effects on intangible non-financial performance than financial performance. Corporate innovation activities have been shown to have a positive (+) impact on both financial and non-financial performance, while R&D and learning capabilities have a positive (+) impact on financial performance by parameters of network capability. Corporate innovation activities have been shown to have no impact on both financial and non-financial performance, and R&D and learning capabilities have no impact on non-financial performance. It could be seen that the parameter effects of network competency are limited to when R&D and learning competencies are derived from quantitative financial performance.   • In this research, we analyzed the research and development process of small and medium enterprises, and diagnosed the problem of the research and development process of domestic small and medium enterprises, and evaluated the influence of innovative ability on the speed of research and development and corporate performance. In evaluating these effects, it is possible to grasp the direction of power generation according to the type of analysis, taking into account the meltdown factor of factors related to innovative capabilities. The main purpose of this research is to confirm the influence on the speed of research and development according to the innovative capacity and business environment and to verify the reliability and validity of the research by Klumbach alpha Was used. In this research, we analyzed how the speed of R & D affects R & D activities, it is a research aimed at the necessity of a resource-based approach to the internal capacity of a company, Have a valuable value. Based on the influence on the company, each factor is a research that analyzed the influence on R & D and financial indicators through maintaining company's development level, Research that has practical value that can base on the development of R & D capacity on corporate strategy formulation.

Factors Influencing the Performance of Interfirm R&D Cooperation Supported by the Government (정부지원 중소기업 기술협력사업의 성과판별 요인에 관한 연구)

  • This study aims to explore the variables which determine performance of inter-firm R&D cooperation. As the dependent variable is categorical - whether the new product developed by the inter-firm cooperation were sold or not-and the independent variables were interval, discriminant analysis was used. The independent variables were composed of degree of inter-firm cooperation, experience of cooperation, market attractiveness, R&D intensity, resources and competences of enterprise and efficiency of government support. A total of 144 responses were obtained. The results indicate that the degree or inter-firm cooperation is the best predictor of the performance, followed by market attractiveness, R&D intensity and resources/competences of enterprises. Whereas, the experience of cooperation and efficiency of government support program were not statistically significant predictors. The hit ratio or the percentage of cases correctly classified was 66.2%. We derived several implications of these findings in an effort to guide subsequent inquiry.

  • This study is designed to explore whether the integration of product development and quality management have influence on the success of localization of weapon system. To that end, empirical analysis has been conducted on a total of 110 systematic major defense contractors, their subcontractors and small-and-medium sized defense contractors. The result shows that success of the localization of weapons system, as well as the price of localization, manufacturing time, and quality turn out to have significantly influenced by factors of quality management capabilities including human resources development capability, organizational capability and process capability and R&D development factors including human resources capabilities, capability to accumulate technology and internal/external collaborative capabilities. To sum up, this study suggests that integration of quality management and product development continuously provides a competitive strength in developing new product by a non-defense company as well as localization of core parts of weapon system.
