The Moderating Effect of Level of Involvement Between Organization-public Relationships and Organizational Reputation (조직과 공중간 관계가 조직의 명성에 미치는 영향: 공중의 관여도를 중심으로)

  • The purpose of this study is to explore and explain how organization-public relations influence organizational reputation, accounted for by the moderating effect of level of involvement. For this purpose, a survey was conducted to 100 residents in a metropolitan city of Korea with the following five Korean organizations studied: two Korean domestic companies, a sports association, a non-profit organization, and a multinational company. Results of multiple regression analysis indicated that organization-public relationships and publics' level of involvement were significant predictors to account for organizational reputation by non-chance amount, and that level of involvement played a moderating variable role between organization-public relationships and organizational reputation.

  • The purpose of this study examines the interrelationships among antecedents and consequences of privacy concern on the online-shopping mall. Based on relevant literature review, a customer's attitude toward direct marketing, a customer's desire to information control, and a customer's prediction of negative effect as antecedents that affect the privacy concern. Also, consequences are a firm's reputation and a customer's purchase experience. Then related hypotheses were tested using data from 165 online shopping mall customer. The results for empirical analysis are as follows; 1) a customer's attitude toward direct marketing affected negatively the privacy concern, 2) a customer's desire to information control and a customer's prediction of negative effect affected positively the privacy concern, 3) a firm's reputation negatively related to the privacy concern, 4) a customer's purchase experience positively related to a firm's reputation.

  • SNS is in the process of fast evolution as well. This study is about influence of authenticity and interactivity among Facebook Fan Page users. Authenticity is something people form in the process of expressing and sharing information thru SNS Facebook Fan Page. Interactivity is a level of participation of users in the process of expressing and sharing information thru SNS Facebook Fan Page. The focus of this paper is to see the power of authenticity and interactivity of SNS Facebook Fan Page users in a time of crisis. Authenticity is proven as a valuable asset for corporations for it showed a sturdy characteristic even when something terrible happened. When a crisis attacked, high authenticity user group was not willing to change their evaluation on a company reputation and image as much as low authenticity user group. Interestingly enough, the meaning interactivity level was strikingly different from what we expected. The more their level of interactivity, was the more they were likely to change their evaluation on a company in a time of crisis. A serious discussion is necessary for this contraty results.

  • Since the 1990s, Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) issues have been attracting more and more attention from companies and researchers alike. The purchasing behavior of consumers is directly related to not only a company's financial performance, but also the future development of the company. Much of the previous research regarding CSR has mainly focused on the perspectives of enterprises. This paper aims to study the impact of CSR on purchase intention in three aspects - consumer, company and country. We decided to use Samsung to describe the impact of CSR on consumer purchase intentions in China. The results of this study revealed that CSR has a positive impact on the consumer-company identification, corporate reputation and country of origin image. Consumer-company identification turned out to be amore important moderator between CSR and consumers' purchase intentions than country of origin image and corporate reputation.

  • This paper explores a theoretical framework, in which compassion arising from others' suffering among organizational members can be connected to EV to CSR activities via POI. We argue that compassion may generate positive identity related to being a member of a particular organization (i.e., POI), which increases to EV to CSR, ultimately leading to the enhancement of the corporate reputation. In return, an enhanced reputation for the corporation results in an increase of employees' perceived organizational identity via increase of CEI. Employees with high POI are more likely to carry out compassion and share it with others within an organization. In short, the positive circulation between compassion and EV to CSR as shown in Figure 2 demonstrates not only the ways in which compassion among organizational members can evoke EV to CSR through POI, but also how EV to CSR can facilitate compassion within an organization in terms of enhanced corporate reputation.

  • 한 대의 자동차가 완성되기 위해서는 약 2~3만 개에 가까운 부품이 들어간다. 자동차의 심장인 엔진부분은 물론 자동차의 외형을 이루는 몸체, 각종 전기장치 등을 만들기 위해서 갖가지 부속품이 필요한 것이다. 이들 부품 가운데 특히 많이 쓰이는 것이 압축코일, 비틀림코일, 태엽 등의 각종 스프링이다. 이와 같은 스프링을 제작하는 기업은 많지만 그중에서도 (주)디지에쓰는 업계에서 명성이 자자하다. 지난 1974년 설립돼 현재 40여 명이 근무하고 있는 작은 회사이지만 기술연구소를 설치 운영하고 있을 정도로 연구개발에 힘써 온 결과 남부럽지 않은 기술력을 갖게 됐기 때문이다. 2010년에 중소기업청으로부터 기술혁신형 중소기업으로 선정된 것이 이를 입증하고 있다. 작지만 강한 기업이라는 수식어가 전혀 어색하지 않은 것이다. (주)디지에쓰가 명성을 얻고 있는 데에는 또 다른 이유가 있다. 바로 철저한 안전관리를 바탕으로 5년 연속 무재해를 이어가고 있기 때문이다. 우리나라의 산업재해 가운데 80% 이상이 50인 미만 소규모 사업장에서 발생하고 있다는 점에 비춰보면 이곳의 무재해 기록이 갖는 의미는 남다르다고 할 수 있다. 철저한 안전관리를 바탕으로 성장을 거듭하고 있는 (주)디지에쓰를 찾아가 봤다.

  • According to the results of the FKI's ethical management status and CSR promotion status, about 95% of domestic companies enact the Code of Ethics, while 64% of companies operating systems for communication and dialogue with stakeholders in the process of CSR activities, It seems that strategic CSR activities of domestic companies have not been fully established yet compared with the introduction of ethical management. Even if companies conduct CSR activities strategically, there is very little CSR level of the companies that consumers perceive. This is because the psychological mechanism of CSR on consumers' perceptions is too complicated and detailed, resulting in a positive result and a negative result depending on the investigator's research method. So far, there have been many studies on the direct impact of CSR on corporate evaluation, purchase intention, and corporate image. However, there are few studies on the effect of CSR and CA on purchase intention through product attitude. Therefore, The purpose of this study is to demonstrate the effect of corporate social responsibility(CSR) and corporate Ability(CA) on the purchase intention through product attitudes perceived by consumers, and the moderating effect of corporate reputation between product attitude and purchase intention. As a research method, we selected 4 companies, such as Samsung etc, who have been conducting CSR for the past 10 years, as a sample. The relationship between the CSR and the corporate competence of these companies on purchasing intention was examined through questionnaires for general consumers. The results of this study show that CSR and CA have a positive effect on product attitude, and consumers' product attitude has a positive effect on purchase intention. In addition, CSR and CA were found to have a positive (+) effect on purchase intention through consumer attitude. Finally, it is found that the reputation of the firm has a moderating effect on the relationship between consumer's product attitude and purchase intention. This study suggests that CSR should be strategically promoted in order to positively shape the attitude of consumers toward products of companies and their companies. As a theoretical implication, this study showed that the effect of CSR activities and CA on consumer's product attitude and purchase intention, centered on mediating effects of product attitude and corporate reputation discrimination.

  • 일반적으로 신규공모주식(新規公募株式)(initial public offering : 이하 IPO라 약칭함)은 실제가치보다 저가발행(低價發行)되는데 이것은 투자은행(投資銀行)의 명성(名聲)과 어떤 관련이 있을 것으로 생각된다. 본 논문에서는 1988년부터 1989년 사이에 우리나라의 기업공개에 있어서 IPO의 가격형성(價格形成)에 주간사회사(主幹事會社)의 명성(名聲)이 어떤 영향을 미치는지를 실증분석을 통하여 검토하였다. 실증분석의 결과에서는 IPO의 저평가율(低評價率), 위험도(危險度), 공모규모(公募規模)면에서 주간사회사의 명성에 따른 차이를 밝힐 수 없었다. 그러나 이름 있는 주간사회사는 보다 일관되게 IPO를 저가발행하며, 상장후의 주가수준도 더 높게 유지하는 것으로 나타났다. 이러한 현상은 주간사회사의 공모주 매출능력이나 인수기능보다는 상장후 일정기간 동안 주간사회사의 주가 관리 능력을 더 중요시하게 하는 제도상의 특징에 기인될 것이므로 주간사회사(主幹事會社)의 명성(名聲)이 나름대로 IPO의 가격형성에 중요한 역할을 한다고 판단된다.
