A Study on Position Detection in Gears in Automatic Production of Geared Shaft (기어의 생산자동화를 위한 기어의 위치정보 검출에 관한 연구)

  • Available shafts with gears at each end of the cylinder-shaped steel are widely used as power train components for automobiles. In order to automate the production of a geared shaft, there are problems to be solved. After one side of the cylinder is cut in gears, one of the problems is to determine the position of the cylinder which has been already cut. The shaft is then to be fed ahead with geared position to the chuck with jaws in geared shape. The other problem is to acquire information on an angular position of the shaft to fit to the jaws of the chuck. This paper deals with the magnetic detection sensor of gear position. Coils are installed in two places. Self-inductances of coils are detected by the changes of reluctance and are then compared. The magnetic analysis also has been carried out by the finite element analysis (FEM).

  • 냉간단조에 의한 새로운 헬리컬기어 성형공정이 제시되었다. 원형봉재로 부터 헬리컬기어를 압출함에 있어서 압출압력을 계산하기 위하여 상계정리를 적용하여 수치계산하고, 수치해석 결과와 압출하려는 기어의 금형을 설계 제작하여 실험한 결과를 비교 검토하고자 한다. 이론해석상 다이형상으로 인벌류트곡선을 사용한 이론해는 실험결과와 잘 일치하였다. 그리고, 다이의 형상을 평기어부와 헬리컬기어부의 이중구조로 된 신공정이 헬리컬기어부로만 된 사만타공정과 비교해서 금형강도를 향상시킴으로써 다이수명은 증가되었고, 자동차 변속기용으로 헬리컬기어는 KS 기어급수 4~5 급의 정밀도에 해당하는 기어를 가공했다. 이는 사만타공정의 정밀도 보다 향상된 결과를 얻었다.

  • 반도체 가공공정에서 웨이퍼의 정렬이나 각종 초정밀 가공에서 가공물의 각도를 미체 조정하기 위한 초정밀 메커니즘을 제안하였다. 일반적으로 각도를 결정하는 메커니즘은 기어를 이용한다. 기어를 이용할 경우 회전 분해능을 높일 수 있으나 기어의 백래쉬에 의한 오차가 있어 보다 높은 정밀도를 구현하기가 어렵다. 본 논문에서는 직접구동(direct drive) 방식과 이중서보(dual servo) 방식을 이용하여 기어를 사용하지 않고 회전 스테이지를 구현하였다.

A Study on the Helical Gear Forming by Cold Extrusion (냉간 압출에 의한 헬리컬 기어의 제조에 관한 연구)

  • A gear forming method by cold extrusion and an analytical method with its numerical solution program based on the upper bound method were developed. In the analysis the involute curve was as a shape of die and the upper bound method was used to calculate energy dissipation rate. By this method the power requirement and optimum conditions necessary for extruding helical(spur) gear were successfully calculated. These numerical solutions are in good agreement with experimental data. In the experiment, 4-6 class helical gear of KS standard for automobile transmission was successfully manufactured.

  • In this study, we experimentally investigate a noise mechanism related to the machining accuracy of the reducer in the driving state. We fabricate a planetary reducer and four types of gears for use in the planetary reducer. We use signal analysis to determine the noise and vibration of the reducer at different motor speeds; the motor speed is increased from 0 rpm to the maximum speed in a stepwise manner. In addition, we obtain the sound level by using a sound level meter. The machining accuracy of gears is evaluated by public organizations, Korea Testing Laboratory (KTL), on the basis of the Japanese Industrial Standard (JIS). We analyze and compare the results with the noise and vibration of the reducer.

  • The straight bevel gear for automobile part has been manufactured by the cold forging instead of the gear machining tool for the mass production. The application to CAD/CAM system has been necessary in order to develop the precision product quickly by forging through the minimization of trial and error and confirm the reproducibility. In the study, the straight bevel gear with the crown teeth has been modelled by the CAD/CAM system. The master gear after the gearing test has been machined after the modelling, NC data generation and verification. The die for forging and the jig for machining has been manufactured using the master gear.

  • Elliptical gears are used in the oval flowmeter and oval flow meter inspects volume of water thanks to space by the elliptical shape. The purpose of this study is to judge accuracy of processing of the elliptical gear and develop inspection system using machine vision. Demand of machine vision is increasing while the factory automation is spreading and principle factor in-process inspection. But, gear inspection using the machine vision rarely used because of complex shape of gear. In this study, it seems possible that elliptical gear is inspected by inspection software using machine vision and inspection program can judge accuracy of processing of the elliptical gear designed this study.

  • This study is making a product for the development of one process worm wheel of making a shape for gear for worm wheel without hobbing manufacturing process. Because of removing a hobbing process, plastic worm wheel for increased productivity and equivalent quality is produced in the result. As the result, this product is selling to Hyundai Mobis, Mando, TRW, KOYO/NSK/Showa(Japan), Delphai(America). The core technology and different strategy are as follows. The technology protection for molding of worm whee is currently patent process "Molding process of helical gear(No. 10-2008-0105908). Further patent procedure for "molding system for positioning decision of inserting boss is currently prepared. As gear molding procedure in hobbing machine without gear machining procedure, most of all, core development technology which is making a gear tooth is main topic. So that, in case of currently developed worm wheel, because core and mold base are not developed in the first procedure, gear is machining in hobbing M/C as the second procedure. In the later, patent for mold base structure will be prepared in this study results.
