스마트무인기 드라이브장치의 개발 - 설계 및 해석 (Development of the SUAV Drive System - Design and Analysis)

  • 스마트무인기 기술개발사업단에서 개발 중인 틸트로터 스마트무인기의 드라이브장치 개발과 관련하여, 주요 구성부품의 설계와 해석을 중심으로 개발 결과를 기술한다. 스마트무인기의 로터 구동을 위한 드라이브장치는 매우 정밀한 고난이 도의 시스템으로서 국내 개발 경험이 전혀 없는 기술 분야의 하나이다. 따라서 드라이브장치의 개발을 위해서 미국의 선진업체(EATI)와의 공동연구개발을 수행하였다.

  • MRU(motor reduction unit) for KTX is a assembled complex structure that is equipped with a lot of parts at the express train KTX and that is the core power source operating variable speeds. This study is recorded the dynamic characteristics analysis results tested by EMA which is done through the parts and assembly test, transient analysis and stoped train test in order to design the online monitoring system for KTX MRU. And the mode shapes result from critical vibration frequency explain the relation with variable speeds of express train over 250 km/hr. Also these variable speeds make variable operational frequencies at pinion, axle gear mesh frequency and normal bearing fault frequencies. As the specified speed can make resonance with natural frequencies of the MRU, for the train operating stability, this study also presents the MRU's critical speeds calculated by the each train speed.

수상 자전거의 동력전달장치 설계 (Design of Power Transmission System of a Water Bike)

  • The power transmission system has always been considered critical for a human powered boat(or water bike) since it first showed up at Human Powered Vessel Festival. Mechanical problems, such as abrasions and other damages of the gear system for the power transmission, lead to poor durability and low efficiency of a boat. This paper described mechanical problems and a design process of power transmission system and then suggested the method to solve the problems. It is selected a module and a type of gears that are structurally stable thus can transmit the power durable. Especially the lower gear box is applied to CRP(contra rotating propeller) system for improving the structural stability and the propeller efficiency as well. As the results, the upper and lower gear box are designed and manufactured. And from the trial test, it is confirmed that the power transmission system is reliable.

풍력발전기용 3점 지지 기어박스에서 캐리어 핀홀 위치 오차가 유성기어의 하중분할에 미치는 정성적 영향에 관한 실험적 연구 (An Experimental Study for the Qualitative Effect of Carrier Pin Hole Position Error on Planet Load Sharing of Wind Turbine Three-point Suspension Gearbox)

  • In this study, the qualitative effects of the positional error of carrier pin holes on the planet load sharing characteristics of the three-point suspension gearbox of wind turbines were investigated experimentally. A 35-kW gearbox comprising two planetary gear stages and a parallel gear stage and size one-fourth of that of a 2-MW three-point suspension gearbox was used as the test gearbox. The strain gauges attached to the ring gear teeth of the input planetary gear stage were used for the purpose of this study. The applied loading conditions were 50%, 75%, and 100% of the rated torque, and the mesh load factor was used as the load sharing index. The experimental results indicated that both the magnitude and direction of the positional error of pin holes had a significant effect on the planet load sharing characteristics of the three-point suspension gearbox. In addition, an increase in the applied torque results in uniform load sharing.

  • Bearing diagnostics is difficult in a gearbox because bearing signals are masked by the strong gear signals. Self adaptive noise cancellation(SANC) Is useful technique to seperate bearing signals from gear signals. While gear signals are correlated with a long correlation length, bearing signals are not correlated with a short length. SANC seperates two components on the basis of correlation length. (omitted)

  • The steering gear box for mid-heavy duty electric vehicles are usually produced by only a few specialized companies. The special techniques, such as designing, producing and testing technology have been veiled. For this reason, steering gear boxes are imported from other country. The durability test with the electric vehicle which is satisfies the design parameters takes several years, and a prototype is installed in the real vehicle for the test. In this research, the steering gear box of the steering system was developed based on the reverse engineering and the testing methods and the steering gear box development process have been suggested. The prototype is also developed with the CAD and CAE tools. Developed steering gear box have been tested in torque tester and have satisfied requied torque. As a result, the process and testing methods studied in this research are useful in the development processes of electric vehicles steering system.

  • The wind turbine gearbox is important rotating part to transmit torque from turbine blade to generator. Generally, gear shaft which rotates causes vibration by influence of stiffness and mass with gear shaft. Root cause of this vibration source is well known to gear transmission error that is decided from gear tooth property. Transmission error excites a gear, and makes excitation force that is vibrated shaft. This vibration of shaft is transmitted to gearbox housing through gearbox bearing. If the resonance about which the natural frequency of the gearbox accords with shaft exciting frequency occurs, a wind turbine can lead to failure. The gearbox for wind turbine should be considered influence of vibration as well as the fatigue life and its performance by such reason. The cause to vibration should be closely examined to reduce influence of such vibration. In this paper, the cause of the vibration which occurs by a gearbox is closely examined and the method which can reduce the vibration which occurred is shown. It is compared with vibration test outcome of a 3MW gearbox for verification of the method shown by this paper.

자동차 조향장치의 트라이볼로지적 고장특성에 관한 사례연구 (Case Study of Tribological Failure Characteristics in Automotive Steering System)

  • The purpose of this paper is to study and analyze the failure examples on tribological characteristics of an automotive steering system. In this failure study, the grease leakage may stick leaked grease, dust, and wear particles between pinion and rack gears in mechanical steering system. In the case of seal failures such as a rod seal, o-ring and oil seals, the gear box and oil pump do not operate properly due to lack of oils. This means that oil pump does not supply a working fluid and produce a normal oil pressure of the steering system. This leads to leak a working fluid from the seals and produce a wear between pinion and rack gears. Especially, the leaked oil is usually mixed with internal wear particles and foreign dust/fine sands. Thus no leakage of working oils is very important design concepts, which is strongly related to the sealing components and smoothly operating of the mechanical friction parts of power steering system.

암반 파쇄용 진동리퍼 기어박스-생크 용접부의 피로특성 (Fatigue Characteristics on Welded Joint of Gear Box-Shank in Vibro Ripper for Rock Crash)

  • Vibro ripper worked by high frequency vibration is developed to do rock fragmentation and work of ripper is the different concept with other existing breakers. The gear box-shank welded joint of vibro ripper is very important part to deliver vibromotive force to tooth, so this part should endure high frequency vibration environments. The purposes of this study are to choose the optimal welding conditions for fatigue strength. The conditions were made using three kind of shank materials and two kind of filler metals. Shank materials are Hadox-hituf, Posten80 and AR400, and filler metals are CSF-71T and CSF-81T. The fatigue test was conducted each condition. Fracture surface was observed to estimate fracture characteristics of welded joint using SEM.
