Zigbee Communication Based Wireless System for Measuring Lap Time on a Sprints (지그비 통신에 기반한 단거리 육상경기 기록측정 시스템)

  • This paper introduces a ZigBee network-based four-lane lap time measurement system that can be set up for short-distance races. The instructions "Ready-Set-Go" can be announced at the entry point node when the start button is pushed, and foot switches installed at the exit point node can be stepped on by the runner for lap time measurement of the race. The start and exit point nodes are connected to a ZigBee network to communicate time synchronization packets. The exit point node maintains synchronized local time within 10 ms at most. The system does not need expensive measurement equipment and provides lap time recording in a more convenient manner than conventional lap time measurement methods.

Toward Research Records Management in Government-funded Research Institutes (정부출연연구기관의 연구기록물 관리를 위한 수집 개선방안에 관한 연구)

  • The purpose of this study is to propose an approach to acquire research records effectively in context of government-funded research institutes via case studies and a questionnaire survey. For the case studies, a report from Joint Information Systems Committee JISC in UK, the University of Melbourne policy on the management of research data and records, a report from Canadian Association of Research Libraries(CARL) are analyzed. In addition, a survey questionnaire is conducted for forty nine government-funded research institutes and forty three responses out of 49 institutes are collected and analyzed. Based on the analyses on case studies and responses of the survey, an approach for research records management with four aspects is proposed: regulatory policy, best practices and manuals, professionals for research records, and outreach programs of individual reseach institutes for acquiring appropriate research records.

  • This study reinterprets the meaning of the record contents from the viewpoint of the record continuum to find ways to enhance the usability of records that are emphasized by the electronic record environments. In general, in academic discussions and practical examples, record contents are recognized as digital media produced by putting a high level of computer technologies and a big budget based on some records related to specific subjects. To enhance the usability of, and spread the meaning through, records, it is necessary to shift the awareness in record contents. For this purpose in Chapter 2, to grasp the meanings of the church records as well as the utilization direction, it is necessary to analyze the organization and function. Therefore, the analysis of the organization and function of the church was examined. In Chapter 3, this study attempted to find the meaning of the contents of church records in each dimension of the record continuum in relation to the mission of the church, which was identified through the organization and function analysis of the church. In Section 3, which corresponds to Dimension 4, the meaning of church record contents is diversified in society. In the end, this study suggests that the meaning and use value of records can be found in everyday life and can then be spread to society as well.

Effect of Recording Density On the Reproducin Voltage in Perpendicular Magnetic Recording System (수직자기 기록장치에서 기록밀도가 재생전압에 미치는 영향)

  • The method for analyzing the recording and reading process of magnetic recording system by numerical simulation is introduced. which can simulate the effect of elements of the magnetic recording system. During the whole simulation, hysteresis characteristics must be included. Preisach model and finite element method are used to construct the algorithm. From the wave of recording current, recorded pattern of magnetization in recording media is simulated in recording process, and then waveform of reading signal in head coil is obtained in reading process. To show the validity of this method, this is applied to perpendicular magnetic recording system. Waveform of recording signal and reproduced signal is obtained in several density. Pattern of reprocuced voltage magnitude according to increase of recording density shows roll-off curve.

  • This research aims at the thorough analysis between the first edition and the revised of the International Standard Archival Authority Record for Corporate Bodies, Personal and Families. The focused methods of the study are comparing with each strength and weakness of the first edition and the revised on the needs and the features of archival authority control as well as how to use its description rule. Besides it looks into the elements to be added and complemented as they are made practical use of archives, hereafter when it is established Korean archival authority control rules, this fundamental research can be certainly valuable as its basic materials.

Electronic Medical Record Modification Prevention Protocol (전자의무기록 변경 방지 프로토콜)

  • Medical records are very important records and should not be modified after creation. The current medical records are liable to improper modification. With the development of information technology, electronic medical records (EMR) are used widely. For the EMR, cryptographic primitives may be used to develop techniques to prevent medical record modofication. In this research, a technique to prevent improper medical record prevention is proposed. It uses crytographic primitives such as linked hash, digital signature, and electronic notarization. A prototype system is also developed for performance analysis. The proposed method makes the medical record modification impossible with a small amount of additional cost.

  • 이 연구에서는 전자기록물의 일반적인 특징과 법적 증거능력에 대해서 조사하고 이를 통해 국가기록원을 비롯한 기록보존소에서 관리하는 전자기록들의 증거능력에 대해 고찰하였다. 또한 디지털 증거를 수집 분석하여 법정에 제출하기 위한 분야인 디지털 포렌식(Digital Forensics)에서의 절차 및 기술을 통해 전자기록관리 프로세스에서 전자기록의 증거능력을 확보하기 위한 기초적인 방안을 제시한다.

Research Outcomes and Limitations of Records and Archives Organization in Korea (국내 기록조직 연구의 성과와 과제)

  • This study aims to investigate the outcomes and limitations of research studies on records and archives organization published in Korea. In particular, it will serve as an in-depth examination of the contribution of this area of research to the improvements and changes in the country's records management field. To this end, 150 journal articles related to the records and archives organization were gathered. After extracting refined keywords from the titles and author-assigned keywords, terminology analysis and contents analysis were conducted. On the one hand, terminology analysis (frequency and network analysis) identified frequently discussed topics and the relationships between them. On the other hand, through content analysis, the study revealed the detailed contents regarding the two main topics and their meanings.

Directions for Developing Database Schema of Records in Archives Management Systems (영구기록물관리를 위한 기록물 데이터베이스 스키마 개발 방향)

  • The CAMS(Central Archives Management System) of NAK(National Archives of Korea) is an important system which receives and manages large amount of electronic records annually from 2015. From the point of view in database design, this paper analyzes the database schema of CAMS and discusses the direction of overall improvement of the CAMS. Firstly this research analyzes the tables for records and folders in the CAMS database which are core tables for the electronic records management. As a result, researchers notice that it is difficult to trust the quality of the records in the CAMS, because two core tables are entirely not normalized and have many columns whose roles are unknown. Secondly, this study suggests directions of normalization for the tables for records and folders in the CAMS database like followings: First, redistributing the columns into proper tables to reduce the duplication. Second, separating the columns about the classification scheme into separate tables. Third, separating the columns about the records types and sorts into separate tables. Lastly, separating metadata information related to the acquisition, takeover and preservation into separate tables. Thirdly, this paper suggests considerations to design and manage the database schema in each phase of archival management. In the ingest phase, the system should be able to process large amount of records as batch jobs in time annually. In the preservation phase, the system should be able to keep the management histories in the CAMS as audit trails including the reclassification, revaluation, and preservation activities related to the records. In the access phase, the descriptive metadata sets for the access should be selected and confirmed in various ways. Lastly, this research also shows the prototype of conceptual database schema for the CAMS which fulfills the metadata standards for records.

Building the Outlier Candidate Discrimination Training Data based on Inventory for Automatic Classification of Transferred Records (이관 기록물 분류 자동화를 위한 목록 기반 이상치 판별 학습데이터 구축)

  • Electronic public records are classified simultaneously as production, a preservation period is granted, and after a certain period, they are transferred to an archive and preserved. This study intends to find a way to improve the efficiency in classifying transferred records and maintain consistent standards. To this end, the current record classification work process carried out by the National Archives of Korea was analyzed, and problems were identified. As a way to minimize the manual work of record classification by converging the required improvement, the process of identifying outlier candidates based on a list consisting of classified information of the transferred records was proposed and systemized. Furthermore, the proposed outlier discrimination process was applied to the actual records transferred to the National Archives of Korea. The results were standardized and constructed as a training data format that can be used for machine learning in the future.
