In this study, the intellectual structure of Records Management and Archival Science in Korea was analyzed based on the syntactic and semantic structure analysis of article titles. The data used in this study were 344 articles from three major representative journals in the field of Records Management and Archival Science, published from 1999 to 2008. The results of the syntactic and semantic structure analysis of article titles show that the three role concepts of keywords are 'research domain', 'research object', and 'research focus'. Keywords in article titles were clustered into the core subject areas after they were assigned three concepts. Based on the results of cluster analysis, the intellectual structure of Records Management and Archival Science in Korea was proposed.

This study aims to determine the research trends in archival preservation through keyword analysis, understand the current research status, and identify the research topics' changes over time. The degree and betweenness centrality analyses were conducted and visualized on 463 "archival preservation studies" articles published from 2000 to 2021 in various academic journals, using NetMiner 4.0. The collected research papers were divided into three time periods according to when they were published: the first period (2000-2007), the second period (2008-2014), and the third period (2015-2021). The subject keywords for the research papers on archival preservation in Korea that have influence and expandability are as follows. Across all periods, these were "electronic records" and "long-term preservation." In addition, if taken separately per period, the "OAIS reference model" and "electronic records" dominated the first and second periods, respectively, while the "records management standard table" and "long-term preservation" both dominated the third period. A conceptual framework and theory-oriented study for archival preservation, such as "digital preservation," "digitalization," and the "OAIS reference model," dominated the first period. During the second period, more research focused on procedures and practical applications related to conservation activities, such as "electronic record," "appraisal," and "DRAMBORA." In contrast, the majority of the research in the third period was on technical implementation according to the changes in the records management environment, such as "data set," "administrative information system," and "social media."

This study aims to analyze electronic records research domains and trends and to suggest future direction of electronic records research in Korea. One hundred and sixty one articles published in seven domestic journals from 1999 to 2011 were statistically analysed to find out the productivity of electronic records research. Analysis of intellectual structure using descriptor profiling and author profiling as a technique of text mining were performed with those same papers. Some proposals on the future research direction in this field were made.

The present study aims at encouraging discussion on research paradigms as well as research methodologies of records and archives studies. Reviewing research paradigms, defined by Guba and Lincoln based on basic beliefs, leads to the suggestion that the discipline needs to reach to a certain degree of consensus on ontological, epistemological, and methodological premises in order to inform and guide future research. To make the argument, the present study reviews all research papers published in two major journals: the Korean Journal of Archival Studies and Journal of Korean Society of Archives and Records Management, from 2007 to 2016. It then identifies 80 research papers from positivistic research and reviews 32 papers, which collected data through surveys and experiments.

This study examined two characteristics of library and information science (LIS) journals in Korea through analysis of journal coupling with common authors. This study also illustrated the trend of Korean LIS research in the recent decade. The notable change is that record management and archival studies settle in LIS domain as a major research area. We introduced two indicators, Publishing Preference Index (PPI) and Researcher Attraction Index (RAI), based on the degree of common authors among journals. Both indicators revealed notable changes in author coupling, including reversal of PPIs in some journals, which can be interpreted as proof of changes in their author groups. The RAI analysis, which measured the degree of journals' attractiveness to Korean LIS researchers and author sharing between two journals, illustrated the journals' states in a domain; this result can help find both an isolated journal and strongly bonded journals in the specific domain. Journal coupling with common authors introduced in this study proved to be an effective investigative method for illustrating journals' states in a specified domain as well as a multidisciplinary area.

This study aims to examine the meaning and category of archival information services and analyze its research results. To this end, the research scope of the archival information service was set by reviewing the definition, types, and subjects. A total of 183 journal articles were gathered, and content analysis was conducted in two stages. In addition to the overall research trend analysis based on quantitative indicators, an expanded content analysis and language network analysis were attempted using Node Excel. This study revealed that the archival information service research began in earnest after 2006 and that the user-centered paradigm is gradually being applied. However, limitations confirmed that the subject of discussion, research methods, and journals were biased, and expanding the horizon of future discussion was suggested.

The purpose of this study is to analyze research trends on overseas business archives, compare them with domestic and related prior studies, and present the direction of the development of domestic business archives research. For the research analysis, bibliography from 493 papers was collected using four academic databases: Web of Science, Scopus, LISA (ProQuest), LISS (EBSCOhost). Following data collection, data analysis was conducted and focused on the publication status of related papers, major journals, research forms, and researcher information. In addition, unique words were extracted through the data processing of English abstracts, and the frequency of the key words was identified. Through topic modeling, this study extracted seven topics from the entire literature group, analyzed the publication trends of the papers corresponding to each topic, and examined the topics and representative papers of that topic. The names for these topics were assigned as "access and usability of business records'," "information/evidence value of business records," "importance and operational strategy of business archives," "record management as a business heritage," "management of business records in digital environments," "preservation and disposal of business records," and "historical value of business records." Based on the prior research and analysis results, this study proposed implications for the development and expansion of future research on the domestic business archives.

This study aims to analyze the research trends of oral history research in Korea from 1991 to the present, and to provide basic data on the future direction of oral history research. For these purposes, 439 research articles of domestic oral history researchers from 1991 to 2018 were retrieved by keyword search from Research Information Sharing System (RISS) in Korean Education and Research Information Service (KERIS). The research trends of domestic oral history were analyzed by the volume of periodical research papers, major journals, authors and research funds, research fields and research contents, and international cooperation. Finally, based on the results of the study, the implications were summarized, and direction for follow-up research was provided.

유구한 전통을 배경으로 우리나라는 유네스코 세계기록유산을 세계 4위, 아시아 1위로 등재하여 기록물의 가치를 국제적으로 인정받고 있다. 이제는 세계 기록유산 16건이라는 등재 수량을 넘어, 활용도 증진을 통한 명실상부 질적 차원의 우수 세계 기록유산 보유국가로 성장해야 할 시기를 맞고 있다. 이러한 측면에서 기록유산의보편적 접근과 활용의 증진을 목적으로 하는 국제기록유산센터(ICDH, International Centre for Documentary Heritage)의 2019년 청주시 유치는 시사하는 바가 크다. 또 정부가 세계 기록유산의 다양한 활용 제고를 위한 지자체 협업 사업을 지원하기 시작한 것도 유의할만하다. 그러나 한국 천문학 분야에서는 세계 기록유산이 한 건도 지정되지 않아 우리나라의 우수한 과학적 성취가 담긴 사료들은 알려지지 않고 있으며, 체계적인 관리·보존도 미비한 상태다. 이에 이 연구는 한국 천문학 기록자원의 세계 기록유산 발굴과 등재 및 등재 이후 활용 증진을 위한 아웃리치 서비스의 방법론을 제언하는 데 목적을 가지며 다음 기획론을 제시하고자 한다. 먼저 한국 천문학 기록자원의 세계 기록유산 발굴을 위하여 유네스코의 등재평가기준과 참고할만한 등재과정의 선행사례를 분석한다. 다음으로, 등재 이후 정·관·학 협업의 체계적 관리보존과 공유체계를수립하는 방안을 모색하고자 한다. 이를 위하여 소장처와협업체간 분쟁의 소지가 될 수 있는 저작권 등 위험 요소와 참고할만한 국내외 협업의 선진사례를 분석한다. 마지막으로 한국 천문학계의 요구와 현실에 부합하는 기록학적방법론을 분석하여 한국 천문학 분야 세계 기록유산의 아웃리치서비스 방안을 제언하고자 한다. 이 연구는 천문학 분야에서 망실·훼손될 수 있는 기록 자원을 발굴하는 계기를 세계 기록유산에서 찾아, 천문학계에 새로운 연구의 장(場)을 창출하는 선순환을 도모했다는 점에서 의의가 있다. 그러나 선험적 기획이므로 과정상 발생할 수 있는 변수의 대처 방안과 유의성 분석 등 연구 결과 검증에는 한계가 있다. 향후 한국 천문학과의 협업으로 세계 기록유산과 관련한 사료 발굴과 가치 고증 등 학술적 이론 검증을 이어나가 다양한 학제 간 연구로 심화하길 기대한다.
