An Enhanced Function Point Model for Software Size Estimation: Micro-FP Model (소프트웨어 규모산정을 위한 기능점수 개선 Micro-FP 모형의 제안)

  • Function Point Method have been applied to measure software size estimation in industry because it supports to estimate the software's size by user's view not developer's. However, the current function point method has some problems for example complexity's upper limit etc. So, In this paper, an enhanced function point model. Micro FP model, was suggested. Using this model, software effort estimation can be more efficiently because this model has some regression equation. This model specially can be applied to estimate in detail the large application system's size Analysis results show that measured software size by this Micro FP model has the advantage with more correlative between the one of LOC, as of 10 applications operated in an large organization.

Follow - up Study on Functional Change and Aspect of Physical Therapy in Stroke Patients (뇌졸중환자의 물리치료양상 및 기능변화에 관한 추적연구)

  • An analysis of 87 stroke Patients who were enrolled in 7 hospitals in cities of Pusan, Taegu, Kumi, and Andong from January 1 to May 31, 1998 was conducted using the modified Barthel Index(BI) and the adapted PULSES profile index(PS) to evaluate their function. Patients were examined at the following intervals : Initial assessment, one month after initial, at discharge, and ore month after discharge. The mean BI score of patients initial assessment was 26.32. and that of PS was 17.34. There were statistically significant between initial score and one month after initial (16.61 : p<0.001), at discharge(33.51 : p<0,001), one month after discharge(43,56 : p<0.001). PS scores were also improved significantly(-2.1, -3. 94, and -5.52(p<0.001), and BI score between discharge and one month after discharge wag significant improvement(10.06 : p <0.001) and in PS score(-1,57 : p<0.001). Age and BI scone were significantly associated with the improved in BI score between initial and discharge (T3-T1)(p<0.05). Below age forty and the lower initial BI score showed significantly higher improvement(T3-T1) after physical therapy(p<0.05). Initial BI score, BI score at discharge, and religion were significantly associated with the improvement of BI score between initial and one month after discharge(T4-T1)(p<0.05). The lower initial BI score, the high. BI score at discharge, and the religious showed significantly higher improvement(T4-T1)(p<0.05). In conclusion, Initial BI score, BI score at discharge, age, and religion were significantly associated with BI score improvement. initial PS score, BI score discharge, and patient's attitude for physical therapy after discharge were significantly associated with PS score improvement in stroke patients.

  • The existing Function Point method to estimate the software size has been utilized frequently with the management information system. Due to the expanding usage of the real-time and embedded system, the Full Function Point method is being proposed. However, despite many research is being carried out relation to the software size, the research on the model to estimate the development cost from the measured software size is inadequate. This paper analyzed the linear regression model and power regression model which estimate the development cost from the software FFP The power model is selected, which shows its estimation is most adequate.

  • 본 연구는 공수방식이나 기능점수(Funtion Point)방식에 의존해 온 기존의 게임콘텐츠 원가산정 방식의 문제점을 인식하고 이를 대체할 새로운 게임요소점수(Game Element Point) 접근방식 하에서 구체적인 원가산정 방법론을 개발 제시하였다. 게임콘텐츠 원가산정 모델은 게임콘텐츠에 고유한 게임요소를 도출하여 이를 게임요소점수(GEP; Game Element Point)로 환산하고 여기에 게임요소당 단가를 곱하여 원가를 산정하는 형태를 가지고 있다. 또한 제시된 방법론의 실무적용 가능성을 타진하기 위해 게임 개발업체들의 실제원가 자료를 입수하여 실제 개발원가와 GEP방식으로 계산된 원가를 비교 검증하였다. 탐색적 수준의 사례 비교를 통한 검증결과 GEP방식의 적용이 가능하고 또한 기존방식을 대체할 좀 더 실무적이고 정확한 게임 컨텐츠 원가산정 방식으로 사용할 수 있는 것으로 판명되었다.

Physical Functions in Follow-up Convergency Care by Discharge Locations (퇴원장소에 따른 융합적 돌봄을 위한 신체기능연구)

  • Discharge plans should be considered during rehabilitation depending on the location specified by the patients. This study aims to compare the demographics and rehabilitation function according to discharge location in people with rehabilitation one month after discharge. Among 300 discharged patients, 146 were discharged to their homes, 154 were transferred to facilities such as nursing homes. The results showed that rehabilitation function that scored using the modified Barthel Index were different according to discharge location. That is, the modified Barthel Index scored greater in home discharged patients than counter group. However, the home discharged patient's physical function and daily activities showed scores that required rehabilitation. Differentiated strategies should be needed for home and facility visit rehabilitation programs for rehabilitated patients.

  • 소프트웨어 개발노력 추정에 대한 연구는 소프트웨어가 복잡해지고 범위가 크게 증가함에 따라서 그 중은 지속적으로 부각되고 있다. 관련 프로젝트를 발주하는 업체나, 이를 수주하고 개발을 진행하는 업체에게 원가를 고려하는 측면에서 매우 중요한 부분을 차지하고 있다. 이러한 개발노력 추정을 위하여 다양한 접근 방식들이 고려되어지고 있는데, 그중에서 많이 활용되어지고 있는 방식은 소프트웨어 규모에 기반을 둔 LOC(Line Of Code) 기반 COCOMO (Constructive Cost Model) 모델이나 기능점수(Function Point)를 기반으로 한 회귀분석 모델, 인공지능(Artificial Intelligence)을 활용한 신경망(Neural Network) 모델, 사례분석기법 (CBR, Case Based Reasoning) 등이 있다. 이중에서 최근에 기능점수를 활용한 개발노력 추정에 관한 연구들이 활발히 진행되고 있으나 개발노력 추정에는 소프트웨어 규모의 척도인 기능점수 뿐만 아니라, 개발환경을 구성하는 여러 가지 측면에 대한 고려가 추가되어져야 한다. 이에 본 논문은 최신의 소프트웨어 개발 사례들에 대하여 기능점수 및 추가적인 개발환경 요소들을 면밀히 분석하고, 분석한 내용에 대해서 전문가들의 설문을 통한 빈도분석 및 로지스틱 회귀분석, 데이터마이닝 기법인 신경망 분석 등을 활용하여 개발노력 추정 모델을 구축함으로써, 소프트웨어 개발의 다양한 측면의 중요성을 강조하고, 정확한 추정의 방안을 제시 하고자 노력 하였다.

  • The decision makers of IT projects are faced to situations to choose a best development method between inhouse development and solution purchase when companies must develop a new system or enhance the existed system. For those decision makers related to the IT projects, this study provides them with meaningful results through the ISBSG project repositary, how each development method, such as a development inhouse, a solution purchased, a combined method, impact the function point, which is a critical factor to measure the required time, efforts, cost of IT project development.

  • Estimation of software project cost, effort and duration in the early stage of software development cycle is a difficult and key problem in software engineering. Most of models estimate the development effort using the function point that is measured from the requirement specification. This paper presents optimal team size and duration prediction based on function point in order to provide information that can be used as a guide in selecting the most Practical and productive team size for a software development project. We introduce to productive metrics and cost for decision criteria of ideal team size and duration. The experimental is based on the analysis of 300 development and enhancement software project data. These data sets are divide in two subgroups. One is a development project; the other is a maintenance project. As a result of evaluation by productivity and cost measured criteria in two subgroups, we come to the conclusion that the most successful projects has small teams and minimum duration. Also, I proposed that predictive model for team sire and duration according to function point size based on experimental results. The presented models gives a criteria for necessary team site and duration according to the software size.

An Improvement of Function Point Models for Software Cost Estimation (소프트웨어 비용산정을 위한 기능점수 모형 개선 연구)

  • There is a strong need to develop a software cost estimation model on economic value perspective. The objective of this research is to improve current software cost estimation method on economic value perspective. We reviewed domestic and foreign researches and practices on software cost estimation with function point method, and derived promising alternative models. Pilot simulation was performed with real project data, and the probable best model was chosen. We collected data from 39 Korean companies, and assesed statistical significance of the model with those data. Empirical data shows that more practical model has better prediction accuracy. That is, the number of input and output modules, the number of tables, and the number of algorithms are chosen to be best set of functions. There exists strong correlation between the calculated function points and project effort. And, the revised set of technical complexity factors and evaluation guidelines show practical usefulness. We suggest that the above result be incorporated in a new improved guideline for software cost estimation. By adopting the results of this research to the guideline, we expect that technology innovation will be expedited, and that overall productivity of software industry will be increased.

  • An analysis of 101 stroke patients who were enrolled in 10 hospitals of Cities of Pusan, Taegu, and Andong from November 1, 1996 to April 31. 3997 was conducted using the modified Barthel Index(BI) and the adapted PULSES profile index(PS) to evaluate their function. Patients were examined at the following intervals: Initial assessment, one month after initial. at discharge, and one month after discharge. The mean BI score of patients initial assessment was 27.18, and that of PS was 17.54. There were statistically significant between initial score and one month after initial (21.39: p<0.001), at discharge(37.47: p<0.001), one month after discharge(46.49: p<0.001). PS scores were also improved .significantly(-2.62, -4.52. and -6.26(p<0.001). And the score between dischange and one month after discharge was significant (9.01: p<0.001) and in PS score(-1.73: p<0.001). Age and BE score were significantly associated with the improved in BI score between initial and discharge(T3-T1)(p<0.05). Below age forty the Bower initial BI score showed significantly higher improvement(T3-T1) after physical therapy(p<0.05). Initial Bl score, patients' attitude for physical therapy after discharge, age, and surgical operation were significantly associated with the improvement of BI score between initial and one month after discharge(T4-T1)(p<0.05). The lower initial BI score, patients' positive attitude for physical therapy after discharge, below age forty. and no surgical operation showed significantly higher improvement(p<0.05). BI score at discharge, side of hemiparesis and religion were significantly associated with the improvement of BI score between at discharge and one month after discharge(T4-T3) (p<0.05). The lower BI score at discharge. left aide of hemiparesis, with religion showed significantly higher improvement (p<0.05). Age, initial PS score were significantly associated with the improved in PS score between initial and discharge(T3-T1)(p<0.05). The higher initial PS score and below age forty showed significantly higher improvement(T3-T1)(p<0.05). Initial PS score, patient' attitude for physical therapy after discharge, age, educational level, physical therapy hour after discharge, and surgical operation were significantly associated with the improvement of PS score between initial and one month after discharge(T4-T1)(p<0.05). The higher initial PS score, patients' positive attitude for physical therapy after discharge, below age forty, higher education, the shorter physical therapy hour, and no surgical operation showed significantly higher improvement(T4-T1)(p<0.05). PS score at discharge, educational level, patient' attitude far physical therapy after discharge, physical therapy hour after discharge, and gender were significantly associated with the improvement of PS score between discharge and une month after discharge(T4-T3) (p<0.05), The higher PS non at discharge, higher education, patients' positive attitude for Physical therapy after discharge, the shorter physical therapy hour, and male showed significantly higher improvement (T4-T3)(p<0.05). In conclusion, initial BI score and age were significantly associated with BI score improvement and initial PS score, age, and educational level were also significantly associated with PS score improvement in stoke patients.
