Development of A CanSat System Applying High Agility Camera and Remote Control Camera (고기동 안정화 카메라 및 원격제어 셀프카메라를 적용한 캔위성 시스템 개발)

  • The High Agility and Remote Control Camera System Can-Satellite ($HA+RC^2S$ CanSat) proposed in this study is a satellite designed by the authors of this work and submitted as an entry in the 2017 CanSat competition in Goheung gun, Jeonnam, Korea. The primary mission of this work is to develop a high agility camera system (HACS) that can obtain high quality images in the air. This objective is achieved by using a tuned mass damper (TMD) to attenuate the residual vibration that occurs immediately after rotating the camera. The secondary objective is to obtain a self-image of CanSat in the air using a remote control self-camera system (RCSS) that is wirelessly controlled using a joystick from a ground station. This paper describes the development process of the $HA+RC^2S$ CanSat, including mission definition, system design, manufacturing, function and performance tests carried out on the ground, and final launch test.

  • The Objective of this research was to construct the multimedia database system that was necessary for the education of the practitioners and the students. To establish this system, there were technical problems as follows 1) The processing of the images, 2) The rapid processing of the information with the computer network, 3) The development of diagnosis tools, 4) The technique to establish the database system, 5) The link between the database system and the internet, and 6) The method to educate through many cases. The analysis for diagnosis and treatment planning were provided as two parts : model analysis and cephalometric analysis. As a model analysis, arch length discrepancy and Bolton tooth ratio were provided for the part of patient information. Cephalometric analyses were provided in the part of initial diagnosis. The Cephalometric analysis ver 2.0 and the PowerCeph pro 3.3.5 were used to show Tweed, Steiner and Jarabak analysis. In the main part, Kim's analysis and some measurements were added.   • Robot control and image processing using a smartphone and Wi-Fi communication is introduced. The robot has a wheel and quadruped mechanism that is transformed according to the environment and is mainly used for drug bottle delivery. The captured image on the camera is transmitted to the smartphone in the form of stream data, and the image data is processed in the smartphone to enable the robot to identify an object and to control the robot itself. A network was constructed so that only image data from the stream data was used, and an image processing scheme to identify the drug bottle and deliver it to a person using a robot arm is also presented. In this study, image processing techniques and algorithms were purely implemented on a smartphone with considerable computational power and multiple functions rather than a computer, which contributes to the intelligence and miniaturization of the robot system.

Localization of the Major Retinal Neurotransmitters and Receptors and Müller Glia in the Retina of the Greater Horseshoe Bat (Rhinolophus ferrumequinum) (한국관박쥐 망막의 신경전달물질 및 수용체, 뮬러세포 동정)

  • Purpose: The objective of this study was to investigate the visual system of the greater horseshoe bat (Rhinolophus ferrumequinum) by location analysis of some major neurotransmitters glutamate, ${\gamma}$-aminobutyric acid (GABA), acetylcholine, and their receptors, and $m{\ddot{u}}ller$ glial cells in retina. Methods: Standard immunocytochemical techniques were used after vibratome section of retinal tissues of adult greater horseshoe bat for this study. Immnoreactions in immunofluorescence images were analyzed using confocal microscope. Results: Anti-glutamate-immunoreactive neurons were mainly localized in the ganglion cell layer (GCL). The majority of anti-GABA-immunoreactive cells distributed in the inner nuclear layer (INL), and GABAA receptors were localized in the inner plexiform layer (IPL). Anti-choline acetyltransferase-immuoreactive cholinergic neurons were mainly located in the INL and GCL, and most of nicotinic acetylcholine receptors were localized in the IPL. The $m{\ddot{u}}ller$ cells in the retina of the greater horseshoe bat stretched theirs range from the GCL to outer nuclear layer (ONL). Conclusions: This study revealed that the retinas of the greater horseshoe bats contain the same major neurotransmitters and receptors, and glial cell in visually functional mammalian retinas. The present results may suggest that the greater horseshoe bats have the functional retinas for visual analysis through the organized retinal neural circuits.

Edge Feature Extract CBIRS for Car Retrieval : CBIRS/EFI (차량 검색을 위한 측면 에지 특징 추출 내용기반 검색 : CBIRS/EFI)

  • The paper proposed CBIRS/EFI with contents based search technique using edge feature information of the object from image information of the object which is uncertain. In order to search specially efficiently case of partial image information of the object, we used the search technique which extracts outline information and color information in feature information of object. In order to experiment this, we extracted side edge feature information of the vehicle for feature information of the object after capture the car image of the underground garage. This is the system which applies a contents base search by the result which analyzes the image which extracts a feature, an original image to search and a last similar measurement result. This system compared in FE-CBIRS systems which are an existing feature extraction contents base image retrieval system and the function which improves the accuracy and an effectiveness of search rate was complemented. The performance appraisal of CBIRS/EFI systems applied edge extraction feature information and color information of the cars. And we compared a color feature search time, a shape characteristic search time and a search rate from the process which searches area feature information. We extracted the case 91.84% of car edge feature extraction rate. And a average search time of CBIRS/EFI is showing a difference of average 0.4-0.9 seconds than FE-CBIRS from vehicle. color search time, shape characteristic search time and similar search time. So, it was proven with the fact that is excellent.

Home Network Observation System Using Activate Pattern Analysis of User and Multimedia Streaming (사용자의 행동 패턴 분석과 멀티미디어 스트리밍 기술을 이용한 홈 네트워크 감시 시스템)

  • While the concept of Home Network is laying by and its interests are increasing by means of digitalizing of the information communication infrastructure, many efforts are in progress toward convenient lives. Moreover, as information household appliances which have a junction of connecting to the network are appearing over the past a few years, the demands against intellectual Home Services are increasing. In this paper, by being based upon Multimedia which is an essential factor for developing of various application services on ubiquitous computing environments, we suggest a simplified application model that could apply the information to the automated processing system after studying user's behavior patterns using authentication and access control for identity certification of users. In addition, we compared captured video images in the fixed range by pixel unit through some time and checked disorder of them. And that made safe of user certification as adopting self-developed certification method which was used 'Hash' algorism through salt function of 12 byte. In order to show the usefulness of this proposed model, we did some testing by emulator for control of information after construction for Intellectual Multimedia Server, which ubiquitous network is available on as a scheme so as to check out developed applications. According to experimental results, it is very reasonable to believe that we could extend various multimedia applications in our daily lives.

산화아연 투명전극의 패터닝 및 나노막대 구조를 이용한 질화갈륨계 LED의 광추출효율 향상에 대한 연구

  • GaN계 물질 기반의 광 반도체는 조명 및 디스플레이 관련 차세대 광원으로 많은 관심을 받고 있고, 효율 증대를 위한 에피, 소자 구조 및 패키지 등의 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 특히, 투명 전극을 이용한 광 추출 효율의 증가에 대한 연구는 전체 외부양자효율을 증가시키는 중요한 기술로 각광을 받고 있다. 이러한 투명전극은 가시광 영역의 빛을 투과하면서도 전기 전도성을 갖는 기능성 박막 전극으로 산화인듐주석이 널리 사용되고 있으나 인듐 가격의 상승과 산화인듐주석 전극 자체의 크랙 특성으로 인하여 많은 문제점이 지적되고 있다. 이러한 문제를 극복하기 위하여 GaN계 발광 다이오드에 있어서 산화인듐주석 투명 전극의 대체 물질들에 대한 많은 연구들이 활발하게 이루어 지고 있다. 특히, 투명전극 층으로 사용되는 산화인듐주석 대체 박막으로 산화아연에 대한 연구가 각광을 받고 있는 실정이다. 또한, 발광 다이오드의 효율 증가를 위해 발광소자에 표면 요철 구조 형성과 나노구조체 형성 등 박막 표면의 구조 변화를 통한 광추출효율 향상에 대한 많은 연구가 진행되고 있다. 본 연구에서는 산화아연 박막을 투명전극으로 사용하였으며 광추출효율 향상을 위해 산화아연 투명전극에 패터닝을 형성하고, 그 위에 산화아연 나노막대를 형성하여 기존에 사용하던 산화아연 투명전극보다 우수한 추출효율 및 전류 퍼짐 향상 구조를 제안하고 이에 따른 LED 소자의 광추출효율 향상을 연구하였다. 금속유기화학증착법을 이용하여 c-면 사파이어 기판에 n-GaN, 5주기의 InGaN/GaN 다중양자우물 구조 및 p-GaN의 간단한 LED구조를 성장한 후, p-GaN층 상부에 원자층 증착법을 이용하여 투명전극인 산화아연 박막을 60 nm 두께로 증착하였다. 산화아연 투명전극만 증착한 LED-A와 이후 0.1% HCl을 이용한 습식식각을 통하여 산화아연 투명전극에 육각형 모양의 패턴을 형성한 LED-B, 그리고 LED-B위에 전기화학증착법을 이용하여 $1.0{\mu}m$의 산화아연 나노 막대를 증착한 LED-C를 제작하였다. LED-A, -B 및 -C에 대한 표면 구조는 SEM이미지를 통하여 확인한 바 산화아연의 육각 패턴과 그 상부에 산화아연의 나노막대가 잘 형성된 것을 확인하였다. I-L 분석으로부터 패턴이 형성되지 않은 산화아연 투명전극으로만 구성된 LED-A에 비하여 산화아연 투명 전극에 육각 패턴을 형성한 LED-B의 전계 발광 세기가 더욱 큰 것을 확인하였다. 또한, 육각 패턴에 산화아연 나노막대를 성장시켜 융합구조를 형성한 LED-C에서는 LED-B와 -A보다 더 큰 전계 발광세기를 확인할 수 있었다. 특히, 인가 전류가 고전류로 갈수록 LED-C의 발광세기가 더욱 강해지는 것으로 효율저하현상 또한 나노융합구조의 LED-C에서 확인할 수 있었다. 이는 기존 산화아연 투명전극에 육각형의 패턴 및 나노막대융합구조를 형성할 경우 전류퍼짐현상을 극대화 할 뿐 아니라, 추가적인 광추출효율 향상 효과에 의해 질화갈륨 기반LED 소자의 광효율이 증가된 것으로 판단된다.

Color Media Instructions for Embedded Parallel Processors (임베디드 병렬 프로세서를 위한 칼라미디어 명령어 구현)

  • As a mobile computing environment is rapidly changing, increasing user demand for multimedia-over-wireless capabilities on embedded processors places constraints on performance, power, and sire. In this regard, this paper proposes color media instructions (CMI) for single instruction, multiple data (SIMD) parallel processors to meet the computational requirements and cost goals. While existing multimedia extensions store and process 48-bit pixels in a 32-bit register, CMI, which considers that color components are perceptually less significant, supports parallel operations on two-packed compressed 16-bit YCbCr (6 bit Y and 5 bits Cb, Cr) data in a 32-bit datapath processor. This provides greater concurrency and efficiency for YCbCr data processing. Moreover, the ability to reduce data format size reduces system cost. The reduction in data bandwidth also simplifies system design. Experimental results on a representative SIMD parallel processor architecture show that CMI achieves an average speedup of 6.3x over the baseline SIMD parallel processor performance. This is in contrast to MMX (a representative Intel's multimedia extensions), which achieves an average speedup of only 3.7x over the same baseline SIMD architecture. CMI also outperforms MMX in both area efficiency (a 52% increase versus a 13% increase) and energy efficiency (a 50% increase versus an 11% increase). CMI improves the performance and efficiency with a mere 3% increase in the system area and a 5% increase in the system power, while MMX requires a 14% increase in the system area and a 16% increase in the system power.

Analysis of Protein Function and Comparison of Protein Expression of Different Environment in Soybean using Proteomics Techniques (Proteomics를 이용한 재배 환경에 따른 콩 종실 단백질 발현 양상 비교)

  • Soybean is very useful crop to supply vegetable protein for human. Supply of soybean is increased because it has useful ingredient. Recently, cultivation of soybean in paddy field is increasing due to the increase of rice stockpile in Korea. Hence, in this study, expression of protein was identified regarding different environment for cultivation to investigate the effect of different environment on protein expression. Two-dimensional electrophoresis was performed to investigate the expression of protein using image analysis program to measure degree of protein expression in numerical value. Hannam-kong, Beakcheon-Kong, Hwangkeum-Kong, and Danwon-Kong were used as plant material. 2-DE combined with image analysis revealed that each degree of protein expression of Hannam-Kong and Hwangkeum-Kong in upland field was higher than degree of protein expression in paddy field. However, in case of Beackcheon-Kong, the phenomenon was opposite. In Danwon-kong, the degree of protein expression was not different between up-land field and paddy field. To this end, major protein spots were not different between paddy field and upland field among all cultivars. It could be suggested that protein expression is not severely different by various environment, but different environment affects degree of protein expression.

A Development of Remote Bird Observation System Using FMCW RADAR (FMCW 레이더를 이용한 원격 조류(鳥類) 관측 시스템 개발)

  • Recently, camera and RADAR are used for more effective and accurate observation of the bird migration. In recent years, many researches on the bird migration using RADAR are undertaking and in active, thus causes the advent of "RADAR ornithology" as a new academic field. Due to the lack of accessibility, economic feasibility and mobility of weather RADAR, airport searching RADAR and tracking RADAR, Nowadays, a marine RADAR is widely used for a bird observation. In this paper, we deals with a study on development of a remote bird observation system using marine FMCW RADAR, which monitors, records and analyzes bird movement by RADAR image processing and target recognition technology. Also, we conduct first test and second test for availability of the developed system, and verify the system to apply in bird observation domain. Consequently, we figured problems out, and correct the problems to improve the system. The developed system can apply in other domains such as environment evaluation. In the future, the system needs to improve accuracy of statistics and to track migration route of bird.
