  • 아로니아(Aronia czarna)는 anthocyanin, polyphenol, flavonoid, cathechine, chlorogenic acid와 같은 생리활성물질이 풍부하게 존재하며 항산화, 항암, 항균, 피부건강개선, 노화방지 등 다양한 생리활성에 대한 효능이 있는 것으로 알려져 있어 건강 및 기능성식품, 화장품 등의 원료 소재로 각광받고 있다. 생물전환(Bioconversion)은 미생물 또는 효소의 생물학적 촉매 반응을 활용하여 기존 소재의 성분을 변환시키는 기술이다, 최근 생물전환을 활용한 천연소재의 생리활성 물질 기능성, 생체이용률, 안전성을 증대시키기 위한 방안으로 많은 연구가 진행되고 있으며 식품, 의약품, 화장품 등 다양한 분야에서 활성화 되고 있다. 본 연구는 젓갈로부터 분리한 균주를 유전학적 특성을 확인하기 위하여 16S rDNA 염기서열을 분석한 뒤 그중 유산균을 발효공정에 활용하였다. 전북 순창에서 수확된 아로니아 분말과 발효공정을 수행하였으며 아로니아 최적 추출조건 선정, 발효공정 전 후 추출물의 기능성 평가를 진행하기 위하여 DPPH radical scavenging activity, Total polyphenol 함량을 확인하여 항산화 효능 및 유효성분 함량을 평가하였다. 또한 대식세포인 Raw 264.7을 사용하여 MTT assay, Nitric oxide (NO) 생성 억제 효능을 확인하여 세포독성 및 항염증 활성을 평가하였다. 실험결과, 젓갈류 발효물로부터 16종의 다양한 균주를 확보하였으며, 그중 L. rhamnosus, L. plantarum, P. pentosaceus 균을 발효 공정에 활용하여 유용 균주를 선정 결과 P. pentosaceus 종 유산균 처리군에서 무처리군 대비 DPPH radical 소거능 및 polyphenol 함량이 증가됨을 확인하였다. 발효공정 후 항산화 활성은 무처리군 대비 약 119%, polyphenol의 함량은 무처리군 대비 약 119%로 증가됨을 확인되었다. 또한 Raw 264.7 세포실험 결과 발효공정 후 독성활성이 감소되는 경향을 확인되었으며, 항염증 활성이 월등히 증가됨을 확인하였다.

Development of Fermented Functional Onion Juice Using Lactic Acid Bacteria (유산균을 이용한 기능성 발효 양파음료의 개발)

  • Fermented functional onion juice was developed using lactic acid bacteria as a fermentation starter of onion. From the preliminary studies, we selected the bacterium KC-007 (named as Pediococcus pentosaceus based on morphological and physiological characteristics, carbon utilization pattern, and molecular genetic characteristics) as a fermentation starter. The optimum recipe of functional fermented onion juice based on manufacturing process and sensory evaluation were determined as 27% of fermentation liquer, 27% of apple juice, 3.7% of HFCS, 1.86% of $\beta$-cyclodextrin, 0.9% of oligosaccharide, 0.2% of apple flavor, 0.09% of citric acid, and 39.25% of water.

  • A cultivar (Malus domestica cv. Fuji) of apple was selected to make apple peel (AP) powder by three different powdering methods. Frozen AP was thawed and subsequently was dried or ground without drying. After AP was dried by hot-air drying at $60^{\circ}C$ or freeze-drying, the dried AP was ground using a conventional blender. Separately, the thawed AP was powered by using a cryogenic micro grinding technology (CMGT). The ground AP and three types of AP powder were extracted using deionized water, 20, 40, 60, 80, or 100% methanol, followed by vacuum evaporation. The total phenolics contents (TPC), total flavonoids contents (TFC), DPPH, and ABTS radical scavenging capacities of each extract were compared to determine an efficient powdering method. Lyophilized AP powder extract using 60% methanol showed the highest TPC and DPPH radical scavenging capacity. In contrast, 60% methanol extract of the powder by CMGT, resulting in the smallest particle, exhibited the highest TFC and ABTS radical scavenging capacity. This study suggests that the extraction yield of bioactive compounds from AP may be varied according to different powdering methods and that a new powdering process such as CMGT may be applicable to develop functional foods efficiently.

  • The purpose of this study is to develop high value-added uniform design in response to climate change, and produce high sensitivity uniforms that conserve the energy of its wearers. The scope of the study encompassed entire production stage from the product planning stage to developing a prototype to collecting consumer ratings to securing intellectual property. The results of the study are as follows. First, the material was developed that maximizes insulation by replicating human body heat radiation and raising the temperature by 5 degree Celsius. Second, through Time to Market system, a luxurious synthetic wool material was developed, and warm effect was achieved. Third, pattern design engineering for easy movement and design development allowed the realization of uniform design that is compatible indoors and outdoors as well as respond to highly active climate change. Fourth, Fifth, the developed design was registered and intellectual property rights were obtained.

  • This study was carried out to detect the pro-inflammatory cytokines(IL-1, IL-6, TNF-a, IL-18) and IL-1 receptor accessory in mongolia mare's milk by western blotting. IL-1 and TNF-a were detected in 4 samples of mare's milk Proteins of 6 kD and 7 kD were bound to specific antibody against hIL-18. But, IL-l and TNF-a were not detectable in Difco skim milk IL-6 like factor of 60 kD was detected in both Difco skim milk and mare's milk. Also, IL-1 receptor accessory of 55 kD was detected in the mongolia mare's milk.

  • Studying awareness, importance, satisfaction, and wearing behavior of functional textiles for active silver generation related with gender and age is expected to contribute to clothing products development to improve and maintain their health and marketing strategy fit for user characteristics. For empirical research, a survey was developed and the aged 50 and above were 332 respondents. The results of the study are as follows. First, silver generation considered all the clothing comfort sensations important when wearing clothes, such as tactile sensation, clothing pressure sensation, thermal/wet sensation, and motion sensation in human physiological aspect. Also, stretchy fabrics were ranked first in awareness, the number of wearing times, and satisfaction of comfort functional fabrics. More than 30% of silver generation have fifteen items out of 36 functional clothes. Second, in analysis of awareness by gender on functional clothing products, women were more aware of health/safety-oriented fabrics than men were. Otherwise, men had more knowledge about the water-related properties of functional fabrics than women have, such as water/moisture absorptive and water-repellent/vapor permeable fabrics. While women have more indoor casual wear, men had more active sportswear. Also, women expressed a strong preference to the stretchy function of fabrics.

A Study on the Preferences to the Functionality and the Level of the Discomfort to the Various Materials of the Footwear when Wearing (신발의 소재별 특성이 기능성 선호도와 착용시 불편 정도에 미치는 영향)

  • This study was focused on how the various materials of footwear affect the preferences of functionality and the level of discomfort when wearing. Datas were collected using questionnaire, age of 20's to 50's of female and male. Results were analysed using SPSS WIN 2.0 through t-test and ANOVA test. Results are as follows: In the preferences of materials of footwear, datas showed the shoes are of genuine leather, the sneakers are of textiles, the sandals are of man-made leather and the boots are of genuine leather. The important factor to the preferences of the materials were the leathers in the durability, the man-made leathers in easy-care and maintenance, the rubber and the complex materials in comforts. The level of the discomforts of the footwear were highly ranked in genuine leather, the man-made leather and the complex material with man-made leather and textiles followed. Man-made leather and the textiles represented the discomfort in the ankle. Mostly discomforts of the footwear showed in the sole and the top side of the foot in all kinds of footwear. The preferences in functionality were collected by the female, also female preferred the comfort the first, male preferred the durability. And the texture and the durability were highly preferred in aged female and male.

Anti-aging Effects of Sweroside Isolated from Nymphoides indica (어리연꽃으로부터 분리한 Sweroside의 항노화 효과)

  • To develop a new functional agent for cosmetics, we investigated the anti-aging activities in fibroblasts using sweroside isolated from Nymphoides indica. The anti-aging effect of sweroside was validated in CCD-986sk cells. Results showed that sweroside inhibited expressions of UVB-induced ROS and increased pro-collagen. Furthermore, sweroside had inhibited MMP-1 expression. Taken together, the results suggested that sweroside has considerable potential as a new cosmetics ingredient with an anti-aging effect.

  • 국내에서의 식이섬유의 이용은 대부분 저분자량의 수용성 식이섬유를 이용한 음료형태가 주류를 이루고 있으며, 밀기울, 귀리, 옥수수 껍질 등으로 부터 얻는 불용성 식이섬유는 제과 및 제빵등에 이용되어 오고 있다. 수용성 식이섬유는 혈중 콜레스테롤을 저하시키며, 불용성 식이섬유는 변비예방과 장기능 증진효과가 탁월한 것으로 알려져 있다. 그러므로, 대장암과 변비같은 장질환 환자가 날로 증가하고 있는 상황에서 국내산 미이용 자원으로부터 불용성 식이섬유의 기능성 향상과 활용기술을 개발하는 것은 식품산업적 가치가 크다고 할 수 있다. 또한, 국내에서 소비되고 있는 폴리덱스트로스와 올리고당과 같은 기능성 당류의 대부분이 외국에서 수입하여 국내에 보급되고 있기 때문에 큰 외화지출이 되고 있다. 따라서 본고에서는 국내산 미곡 부산물인 밀기울 식이섬유 세포벽의 불용성 구조를 수용성으로 변화시킬 수 있는 변형기술과 얻어진 수용성 식이섬유 소재의 특성을 소개하고자 한다. 즉, 밀기울 세포벽의 수용화를 위한 가공처리는 압출성형 공정에 의하여 실시하였으며, 수용화가 수반되는 압출성형 조건에 따른 식이섬유 소재의 이화학적 특성과 수용화가 일어난 세포벽 성분의 분해기작에 대한 연구결과를 정리하였다. 그리고, 현행 올리고당과 식이섬유의 산업적 생산공정에서 문제점으로 대두되고 있는 효소처리, 산성하에서의 감압가열, 고점도 원료물질의 이송, 생물공학적 공정제어, 반응시간, 잔여 효소의 불활성화 및 재활용, 제조원가 상승 등과 같은 것을 해결하거나 개선할 수 있는 효율적인 압출반응공정의 조건과 생산된 소재 glucooligosaccharide, fructooligosaccharide, galactooligosaccharide 등의 특성에 대하여 논하여 보기로 한다.경우가 많지 않다. 또한 그 발생 경위나 원인요소에 대해서는 일반에게 공개되지 않고 있어, 우리가 실천하여 식중독을 예방할 수 있는 정보가 함께 제시되지 못하는 형편이다. 따라서 본 고에서는 최근 수년간 외국에서 학교급식을 비롯한 집단급식 등에서 발생한 식중독 사례를 중심으로 고찰, 분석하였다. 이로부터 식중독 발생에 기여한 주요 원인을 찾아내고 여기서 얻어지는 교훈을 토대로 식중독 발생을 예방 및 최소화할 수 있는 실천적 대처 방안을 모색해 보고자 한다.중의 E. coli O157:H7이 연관되어있다는 보고도 있다. 목장 방문시 원유를 마신 어린이에서 HUS가 유발하였고, 균분리 결과, 농장의 소와 어린이에서 유사한 E. coli O157:H7이 분리된 바 있다. 본 연자들은 베로톡신 유형, plasmid profiles, RFLP 분석, phage type을 기초로하여 소에서 분리된 E. coli O157:H7이 사람유래주와 매우 유사함을 확인하였다.mm 및 2-6mm 난포에서의 101개(67.8%) 및 47개(50.0%) 보다 매우 낮게 나타났다. 전체 회수 난포란수도 4등급이 59.1%(149/252)로써 1, 2, 3등급의 0.4% (1/252), 7.6%(19/252) 및 32.9%(83/252)보다 높게 나타났다. 1회 평균 회수 난포란은 $\leq$2mm 난포에서 4.8$\pm$3.7개로써 2-6mm(3.0$\pm$3.4개) 및 $\geq$6mm (0.3$\pm$0.6개)보다 높았으며, 1회당 평균 8.1$\pm$5.1개의 난포란을 회수하였다. investigation can be separated into sa

Prediction of Material's Formation Energy Using Crystal Graph Convolutional Neural Network (결정그래프 합성곱 인공신경망을 통한 소재의 생성 에너지 예측)

  • As industry and technology go through advancement, it is hard to search new materials which satisfy various standards through conventional trial-and-error based research methods. Crystal Graph Convolutional Neural Network(CGCNN) is a neural network which uses material's features as train data, and predicts the material properties(formation energy, bandgap, etc.) much faster than first-principles calculation. This report introduces how to train the CGCNN model which predicts the formation energy using open database. It is anticipated that with a simple programming skill, readers could construct a model using their data and purpose. Developing machine learning model for materials science is going to help researchers who should explore large chemical and structural space to discover materials efficiently.
