Architectural Monuments have to overcome the challenge of time due to physical properties. The fundamental issue must be grounded in an understanding of history and art to overcome this challenge and make themsustainable. Many efforts to preserve the monuments through the 19^th century and at the beginning of the 20^th century to record them in scientific form were successful. To be aware of the meaning of the art and not to be 'barbare' anymore was behind the promotion of these activities. Above all, the 19th-century French architect Viollet-le-Duc contrasted the concept of barbarism with the concept of art and tried to redefine architecture as art. The ritual to escape 'barbare' played an important role in the end. This consciousness was also at work in the propaganda for the preservation of medieval architectural monuments in France, led by intellectuals such as Rodin. Also, the concept of 'barbare' served as an important yardstick whenever the cause of their loss was questioned while important monuments were destroyed in the First World War. From the viewpoint of Germany, Dehio was the pioneer of the preservation movement and documentation of monuments. The principle he advocated was preservation, not restoration. The historian Pevsner, who moved to England, also surveyed monuments in various parts of England and left them in the same format as Dehio. These facts show that architecture as art plays a fundamental role in the history of human life.

The purpose of this study was to analyze commemoration characteristics of fifty-nine Vietnam war memorials in Korea(VWMK) including monuments and national cemeteries from landscape architectural point of view such as location, spacial characteristic, landscape detail, sculpture, and interpretive text. Based on the commemoration characteristics of the analysis, the commemoration culture among Vietnam, the U.S.A., and Korea were studied and differences compared. The results are as follows. First, monuments were mainly located in public open space such as national cemeteries, parks, and plaza, and some of them were elected along with Korea war memorials to honor Vietnam war veterans at the national level. Second, because the monuments were relatively small and memorial towers were conventionally built on a square platform, the memorial style had been simply standardized to stereotype the commemoration characteristics. Third, outmoded memorial towers, stone plates, emblems, and memorial walls were used as main landscape details and standardized facilities were considered from an artistic and social point of view. Fourth, realistic soldier statues to show heroic and humanitarian image were in majority, while symbolic and abstract sculpture were small in number, they were mostly conventional and unexpressive. Fifth, the causes of participation in the Vietnam War were predominantly expressed as 'defending freedom', 'keeping world peace', and 'national economic development' based on anti-communism and patriotism, and also the collectivity of Vietnam War veterans by troop and local level was emphasized through engraving each veterans's name on towers, plates, and walls. VWMK are mostly conventional and stereotyped in style and show strongly national official memory and the collectivity of veterans from a sociopolitical perspective, and aim for anti-communistic patriotism ideologically. Further study and projects will be required to make creative and innovative memorials and to study how to rethink sublime fundamental themes like war, death, and the individual veteran's experience in VWMK.

The May 18 Democratic Movement has been considered to be specific case of the big deviation in social memory among the events that occurred after the Korea War. Compared with other events associated with the democratization movement, the May 18 Democratic Movement is special in that can be achieved various changed meaning. In this study, primary focus will be on the background and logics to show what changed the meaning of the May 18 Democratic Movement from the perspectives of the memorial project. And to investigate influences of change of meaning on perspectives and forms of memorial projects. Recognition and forms of memorial projects on the May 18 Democratic Movement had been largely changed around 2000s. Memorial projects were the aspects that are the logics of the social movements absorbed into the logics of the institutionalization before 2000s. During this period, it was done primarily the discourse of a holy ground for democracy and sanctuarization, had characterized the nature of the struggle of memory. After 2000s, the May 18 Democratic Movement has been interpreted historical resources to create a cultural city and a human rights city. Sometimes the May 18 Democratic Movement was appropriated by local development discourse, and sometimes was adopted as the material of differentiation strategy in the city. Form of memorial projects has also been changed type of struggle of memory to type of heritage industry.

직지대모인 박병선 박사가 지난 2011년 11월 23일 세상을 떠났다. 그 후 1년. 인천가톨릭대학교 신학대학은 지난해 11월 23일 박병선 박사 선종 1주기를 기념해 추모미사 및 루갈다 아카이브를 개관했다. 루갈다는 박병선 박사의 세례명으로, 루갈다 아카이브에는 박병선 박사가 기증한 도서 1286권, 비도서 68점 등이 전시되고 있다.

MZ는 국제적 환경 생태 지대가 될 수 있으며, 황해의 한-임진 강어귀를 열곡 중심에 있는 철원 유역과 이으며, 동해안 바위투성이 해안에 있는 설악산과 금강산 사이의 태백산까지 잇는다. 이 통일의 자연 기념비는 인류의 희망의 성지와 많은 사람들이 목숨을 잃은 국경 지대에서 평화의 상정이 된 멸종 위기의 학의 보호 구역이 될 수 있다. White-napped 학 (Grus vipio), Red-necked 학 (Grus japonensis), 아시아에서 충성의 상징인 Hooked 학 (Grus monacha)은 곧 멸종할 운명에 처해 있다. 임진강 어귀 근처에서 시작되는 귀중한 풍경은 여러분의 유산을 재발경하고, 풍경에 내재된 본질적인 자연?문화적 가치를 포착하고, 그리고 환경적으로 건강한 개발을 하면서도 다음 세대를 위해 그것들을 보존할 완전한 자원망이다. 환경교육은 '고객으로서의 장소'의 모델과 연계된 환경 교육은 DMZ의 미래를 위한 일치된 의견을 이뤄내는 관문이 될 것이다.

Many publishing companies go to storytelling marketing through facebook in these days. Because storytelling marketing through facebook is thought for publishing company as useful marketing method in accordance with the increase of social media user. Thus, this study classified storytelling marketing type by episode, experience, anniversary, information and also analyzed the difference of cognitive reaction, emotional reaction and variables which effect to purchase intention according to each storytelling marketing type. As the results, anniversary type and information type got more positive reaction from responses rather than episode type and experience type with respect to likability, reliability, informativeness, engagement. Also engagement, likability, informativeness are revealed as major variables which effect to purchase intention of each storytelling type. Thus, storytelling marketing of publishing company through facebook need to focus on anniversary type and information type. And it is important to combine naturally the information regarding to book that publishing company want to sell with the fun, pleasure factors that story can give.

Gwanghwamun was dismantled and displaced to the east side of the palace, at that time, the Chosun Government General Building was constructed in the Gyeongbokgung palace. After the Korea war, it remained as a stonework as a result of the fire. In 1968, The Gwanghwamun came back in front of the palace. Then, why it was rebuilt in the 3rd Republic period? What was the reason for selecting concrete? Since the May 16 coup, the military regime had been utilized palace and surrounding urban space to show a visible practice of modernization. Attempting the combination of modern technology in the 1960s and traditional cultural property and reconstructing a city as a pretext called Cultural Heritage conservation was a typical mechanism of the 1960s. In this study, I start by assume that reconstructing Gwanghwamun(1968) was a part of project to change the surrounding urban space of Gwanghwamun than to preserve cultural assets. Two main contributions of the study are following. First, I collect availabe data on the reconstructing surrounding urban space of the Gwanghwamun and re-organize them in chronological order to make them as fragments of a map. Second, I analysis and identify the nature and phase of the Gwanghwamun reconstruction.

농업ㆍ농촌이 우리에게 어떤 의미를 지니는가. 흔히 산업의 한 분야로 분류되지만, 문명과 함께 태동해 자연과 소통하며 이루어내는 인류의 끝없는 도전, 생명과 직결되는 분야기에 더 많은 관심을 요구한다면 지나친 편애일까. '농업ㆍ농촌이 무엇인가'라는 근본적인 질문을 던져보는 행사가 펼쳐져 농축산계의 관심이 모아지고 있다. 농촌진흥청은 오는 8월 30일 부터 9월 3일까지 5일간 청내에서 농업관련 기관과 단체 및 학계 등이 공동으로 참여하는 '한국농업 근현대화 100년 기념사업'을 개최한다. 특히 오랜 농민단체 생활을 통해 농정 관련 현장 경험이 풍브, 지난 2월 농축산계의 뜨거운 관심 속에 부임한 김인식 농촌진흥청장은 "이번 사업을 우리 농업과 농촌이 재도약할 수 있는 발판을 다지는 계기로 삼을 것"이라는 포부를 밝혔다. 김 청장은 경상대학교 축산학과를 졸업한 1992년부터 전국농민단체협의회 사무총장. 한국낙농육우협회 전무, WTO 국민연대 사무총장에 이어 정책실장실 농어촌 비서관 등을 역임, 효율적인 대외협상과 함께 농진청의 농업연구와 지도사업에 새로운 방향을 제시할 것으로 기대되고 있다. FTA, DDA협상 등 개방화의 물결 속에 농촌이 어느 때보다 어려움을 겪고 있는 시점에 피드저널 유동준 발행인 겸 편집인은 7월12일 농촌진흥청 청장실에서 김 청장을 만나 '한국농업 근현대화 100년 기념사업 추진 방향과 농어축산업 발전'을 주제로 대담을 나눴다.

천동동굴은 1977년 12월에 충청북도 지방문화재 제19호로 지정을 받고있는 석회동굴이다. 이 동굴은 그후 1978년 10월부터 관광동굴로 공개하기에 이르렀으며 오늘날까지 석회동굴의 동굴실험실로 그 학술적 가치를 널리 평가받고 있는 실정이다. 사실상 오늘날 우리나라에는 외국에 비해 그 자연동굴의 수효는 많이 갖고 있으나 그 반면에 천연기념물이나 지방기념물로서의 지정을 받고 있는 동굴의 수효는 매우 적어서 겨우 20여개소밖에 안되고 있다.(중략)
