A Study of Organic Impurity Removal Efficiency for Waste LCD Touch Panel Glass by Solvents Types (폐 LCD 유리 재활용을 위한 용매 별 유기물 제거 효율에 대한 연구)

  • In this study, removal of OCA and organic impurities for recycling LCD touch panel glass was conducted by mechanical and chemical dissolution methode. Cut mill and oscillation mill were used for mechanical crushing of touch panel, and water, ethanol, dichloromethane were used to remove OCA and organic impurities. As a result of TGA, when applied only dicloromethane in the process, the efficiency of organic removal was to be best. In addition, removal effect of organic impurities increased as the cleaning temperature increased. As a result of zeta potential analysis to confirm the dispersion degree of touch panel glass in the solvent, the absolute value of the zeta potenial of water with the lowest cleaning effect was lower than other solvents, and it was confirmed that efficiency of organic removal is affected not only by the chemical dissolution properties but also the physical dispersion properties in the solvent.

Study on the Effects of Corrosion Inhibitor According to the Functional Groups for Cu Chemical Mechanical Polishing in Neutral Environment (중성 영역 구리 화학적 기계적 평탄화 공정에서의 작용기에 따른 부식방지제의 영향성 연구)

  • As the aluminum (Al) metallization process was replaced with copper (Cu), the damascene process was introduced, which required the planarization step to eliminate over-deposited Cu with Chemical Mechanical Polishing (CMP) process. In this study, the verification of the corrosion inhibitors, one of the Cu CMP slurry components, was conducted to find out the tendency regarding the carboxyl and amino functional group in neutral environment. Through the results of etch rate, removal rate, and chemical ability of corrosion inhibitors based on 1H-1,2,4-triazole as the base-corrosion inhibitor, while the amine functional group presents high Cu etching ability, carboxyl functional group shows lower Cu etching ability than base-corrosion inhibitor which means that it increases passivation effect by making strong passivation layer. It implies that the corrosion inhibitor with amine functional group was proper to apply for 1st Cu CMP slurry owing to the high etch rate and with carboxyl functional group was favorable for the 2nd Cu CMP slurry due to the high Cu removal rate/dissolution rate ratio.

  • In this paper, the relationship between the material removal rate and the interfacial mechanical properties at particle-surface contact situation, which can be seen in an abrasive machining process using micro/nano-sized particles, was discussed. Friction and stiffnesses were measured experimentally on an atomic force microscope (AFM) by using colloidal probes which have a silica colloid particle in place of tip to simulate a particle-flat surface contact in an abrasive machining process. From the experimental investigation and theoretical contact analysis, the interfacial contact properties such as lateral stiffness of contact, friction, the material removal rate were presented with respect to some of material surfaces and the relationship between the properties as well.

Research on the Mechanical Strength of Fiber Bragg Grating Sensor Adapting to Railway Structure (철도 구조물 적용을 위한 FBG 센서의 기계적 강도에 관한 연구)

  • In order to apply FBG(Fiber Bragg Grating) sensor as one of reliable sensors in the commercial railway structure, the reliability of FBG sensor in the mechanical strength viewpoint have to be confirmed and the maximum strain should surpass the fracture strain of the host structure to measure the measurands until the host structures fail. In this paper, several factors that influence the mechanical failure strength of fiber Bragg grating sensors were analyzed. A set-up for dynamic tensile testing of optical glass fibers with fiber Bragg gratings was made. To increase the FBG failure strength, techniques relying on the H2 loading treatment and stripping methods were established and testified as a result of the tensile strength test of optical fibers.

  • 1940년대부터 1970년대까지 치주치료의 목적은 복잡핞 치주외과적 수술을 통하여 치주낭을 제거 또는 감소시키는 것이었다. 그러나 1960년대와 1970년대에 이루어진 연구 결과를 보면 치주질환의 병인발생에 있어서 치태의 역할과 적절한 구강위생의 중요성이 강조되었다. 즉 치태를 제거하기 위해서 치솔과 치약, 그리고 보조기구를 이용한 구강위생방법(기계적인 처치)과 전신적 및 국소적 항생제투여, 그리고 양치용액의 사용(화학적인 처치)과 같은 비외과적 처치방법이 관심의 대상이 되었다. 여기에서는 치태를 효과적으로 관리하기 위한 기계적인 치료방법과 화학적인 치료방법에 대해 살펴보고자 한다.

  • 기계적인 요소와 자연적인 요소를 연계한 마을하수처리 실증플랜트의 가동후 공정별 수질분석 및 자료수집개시: 2008년 9월20일에 착수하여 1주에 1회 간격으로 현재까지 공정별 26회의 현장방문과 수질 조사를 실시하였다. 질산화 전환율은 70~80%로 훌륭하나 탈질은 탄소원 부족으로 저조하였다. 그 이유는 유기물질은 전처리 단계인 바이오필터에서 대부분 제거되었기 때문으로 참여기업과 협의하여 바이오 필터 체류시간 감축방안 수립하여 운영한 결과 탈질효율을 향상시킬 수 있었다. 유기물질 제거효율은 상시적으로 90% 이상의 제거효율 달성할 수 있었다.

  • The conventional drilling method of caries removal makes vibration and thermal stimuli, so that children are afraid of dental treatment. Recently, various non-invasive caries removal techniques of alternatives to traditional methods are introduced and chemo-mechanical caries removal is one of them. $Carisolv^{TM}$ comprises a gel that is composed of three different amino acids and a low concentration of sodium hypochlorite and specially-designed hand instruments. This report describes two cases of dental caries treatment with $Carisolv^{TM}$. The carious dentin was eliminated with $Carisolv^{TM}$ gel with instruments and then composite resin restoration was conducted.

The Use of Unsupervised Machine Learning for the Attenuation of Seismic Noise (탄성파 자료 잡음 제거를 위한 비지도 학습 연구)

  • When acquiring seismic data, various types of simultaneously recorded seismic noise hinder accurate interpretation. Therefore, it is essential to attenuate this noise during the processing of seismic data and research on seismic noise attenuation. For this purpose, machine learning is extensively used. This study attempts to attenuate noise in prestack seismic data using unsupervised machine learning. Three unsupervised machine learning models, N2NUNET, PATCHUNET, and DDUL, are trained and applied to synthetic and field prestack seismic data to attenuate the noise and leave clean seismic data. The results are qualitatively and quantitatively analyzed and demonstrated that all three unsupervised learning models succeeded in removing seismic noise from both synthetic and field data. Of the three, the N2NUNET model performed the worst, and the PATCHUNET and DDUL models produced almost identical results, although the DDUL model performed slightly better.
